  1. a fresh and unique perspective that's already been discussed to death in a dozen or so previous threads.
  2. Honestly if GB had made it they would have gotten creamed. Too many injuries. If anyone had s chance it's the Falcons. That offense is the real deal. But after what Belicheck did the the K Gun in Giants/Bills SB he can put a stop to Kyle Shanahan.
  3. To your point, I'm not speaking about the procedure itself. I'm talking about how the athlete is advised during the off season and regular season. Timing of the Surgery, recovery programs, training timetables and how it is treated during the off season and regular season all come into play with that. Could have Ryan been pushing for Sammy to play hurt to save his job? Like you said, it's not a cut and clear situation and I'm sure You have to take into account Sammy wanting to play. What's most frustrating is how critical the off season is to a player such as Watkins. The key to many players success is the program they put themselves through to get ready for the season. It seems Year after year he is recovering from some sort of injury that hampers him from going 100% towards off season workouts. That's what hurts him the most and eventually leads to not improving on his craft as much as he could have and not being at his best during the regular season
  4. Considering the Bills have finished 13th in offense in 2015 and the Broncos finished 16th, yet the Bills failed to make the playoffs and the Broncos won the SB shows the power of a great defense. This year Buffalo finished 16th and the Broncos 27th. One can point to the talent we had vs who Denver had. Keep in mind in 2015 Dennison was able to combine CJ Anderson and Ronnie Holman to almost 1600 rushing yards and 12 TDs. This year Anderson and Devontae Booker combined for 1050 yards and 8 TDs. Neither are LeSean McCoy. Their SB win derived from the offense doing just enough and not losing the game. Allowing the defense to win it for them. Obviously McDermott is planning our defense to be that strong. Dennison should have more to work with at RB and even with TT our QB will be better than who he's had over the last two seasons. With TT gone the QB is a wildcard. If they take Watson at 10 they are going to want him to start week one. Bills would be better off bringing in a Romo for a year and let Watson develop. On the surface his stats aren't impressive, but considering whose he's had to work with one could say he could do better with the players we have. All big ifs. We'll see.
  5. part of this was the way the Bills doctors handled this. I can't imagine in this day and age with medicine where it is that he should be going through this again. Does the medical staff change with coaching or is that Russ Brandon's baby as well?
  6. Cutler is a train wreck. I wouldn't touch him if he was available for veterans minimum. I like a protected Romo more. Depending on the QB we may see more of Clay. Because TT didn't hit him doesn't mean another QB won't. Thomas is unknown and who knows how much he'll be asking for. Romo would make Clay a 1000 yard receiver. See Jason Witten Draft a QB in first two rounds and groom him with Jones. Boldin is old. Resign Woods. He won't be expensive and honesty if we had a solid QB I feel he'd be a 1000 yard receiver. Lorax is 33 and he'll be asking for more money than what hes worth being a one year success story at his age. If Z Brown fits the Def and isn't asking for stupid money resign him. McDermott and Frazier are secondary specialists. I believe they'll make whoever back there successful. It's not like we have zero talent. But we'll probably draft a CB in top 3 rounds. Let the DLine coach do his thing and that will figure out Dareus and everything else. Besides QB only other elephant in the room is RT. Need to find one of those.
  7. A fired retread with no history of success No thanks
  8. This is a joke. Even as a DC he never really sustained any true success anywhere. Lived off his dads and bros name. If they want to make him a LB coach fine. But D.C.? Idiots
  9. I was thinking the same thing and would really like this. Considering Olson was canned from his last gig and I can't remember him every running a great offense I'm very against him being OC
  10. Report says Denver not interested. Rams have Goff and they'll want him to play not sit . Romo wants to start. Bears, 49ers and Jets have nowhere near the talent the Bills have. That's leaves Texans and Bills.
  11. I agree. Obviously the Bills would create a run heavy attack. But Romo is known to just be a gunslinger. But a healthy Romo to Sammy or Clay would be an automatic shot to the offense in addition to having McCoy out of the backfield. Problem is can he stay healthy?
  12. Many thought Denver would be prime spot for Romo but with them out I think it lands on Texans or Bills. I think with our new coaching staff Romo gives us consideration. Two years from Romo would give Cardale time to grow. This is of course plan B if they don't want TT But facing Dallas as much as Carolina has Im sure McDermott would love to have a QB like Romo. Although Texans D and being close to Dallas would be enticing for Romo, I see the Bills offering more in trade (making cap room to do so) if they really wanted him.
  13. Reid 19-2 after bye weeks. I'm hoping if it's Childress they wait until loss to Patriots and not settle for Olson. GO does nothing for me
  14. Consider this https://www.google.com/amp/s/campusinsiders.com/news/top-college-football-offensive-coordinators-head-coaches-08-11-2016/amp/?client=safari
  15. SM already stated that he would mold the defense around our talent. Although he may look to acquire a LB to give us 4-3 flexibility,he's going to put the best players in the best opportunity to succeed, even if it means molding a defense around their strengths. That's not to say that the players we currently have may be able to fill 4-3 alignments. Schwartz did it with Pettines scheme when he took over and had success. I don't see why SM can't.
  16. Per Mike Klis 9news Denver Deal being finalized.
  17. Good read from Fox Sports. http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/5-reasons-sean-mcdermott-will-lead-buffalo-bills-to-afc-playoffs-011117
  18. Frazier Resume Highlights Eagles DB coach: 2000-02- Defense Top 4 in points allowed (2nd - 01 & 02) and Top 10 in yards allowed all 3 years Colts Defensive Asst 2005- Defense 2nd in league in points allowed 2006- (Defensive Backs Coach). Super Bowl Champs Vikings Asst Head Coach/Defensive Coordinator 2009- Defense 10th in points allowed and 6th in yards allowed (Brett Favre interception away from Super Bowl appearance.) Ravens Secondary Coach 2016- Jumps from 24th in points allowed 2015 to 9th in 2016. 7th in yards allowed.
  19. Frazier would be a great get. This is McDermotts defense. To have someone as knowledgeable to know how to instill game plans and tweak different nuances from past experience and not confuse the players would be awesome.
  20. I haven't heard Lynn being let out of his contract. Considering the OC hadn't been named yet in Buffalo unless he's been let go unbeknownst to the public this is tampering. You need permission from another team to interview a player under contract unless it's for a HC position. Furthermore you can't take a HC from another team and name him your OC without permission. From team he's under contract with. Furthrrmore McVay has his offense he runs and ALynn has his. It doesn't make sense for McVay to hire another OC coach who is vying for a HC role based on the offense he runs
  21. SB nation reporting John Butler linked as possible D.C. Candidate. Secondary coach for Texans that ranked 2nd in yards allowed per attempt.
  22. Lots of first time HC opportunities being offered. Looks like the league is taking a break from the retread pile.
  23. 2015 completion %- 67.8 2016 completion %- 67.3 2015 passer rating- 156.3 2016 passer rating- 151.8 I can live with that.
