  1. I think that's a great point and we should do that. Teams get so caught up on the concept of the "double dip", but we would benefit more from trying to dictate game play from the start- like in the scenario you laid out.
  2. I agree with regards to investment. ROI on the D line has been poor to say the least. I think our offensive weapons are fine, especially with the emergence of Knox. Oline issues are a bit of bad luck, IMO, with Dawkins (probably COVID related) and Williams regression, and Feliciano's surprise weight loss- not that he was anything special. Brown seems to be a nice find. Overall, I don't see any real personnel reasons for our offensive regression from last year. And when you have an MVP caliber $250M QB, he's supposed to elevate those around him. I'd like to see us go back to more of a spread attack. Seemed to work really well last year with Josh getting rid of the ball quickly neutralizing some oline deficiencies. Some of these quick hitters can be a substitute for an ineffective run game as well. Long developing plays are causing more problems than they're worth.
  3. Generally, when a team scores the other team is allowed possession. I agree, especially when you consider the investment in the D line. But, statistically (I think) our D is out performing our O
  4. Our D is better than last year. What happened then?
  5. IMO, offense is more of the issue. Our D is built to be elite at defending the pass to compliment our explosive offense that should have teams chasing points. When our O is not working, it allows teams to be content pounding us on the ground.
  6. LOL, that was a train Harry
  7. This is the kind of stuff that happens when you have a superstar QB taking up so much of your cap, they have to make up for deficiencies elsewhere. Show me the perfect teams out there? lol, I think this place is more negative now than when we sucked for 20 years.
  8. lol. A bottom line business? Like 13-3 and in the AFCCG and 6-3 so for this year? We need to cut this lame, inept management loose!
  9. Giant mistake! He was averaging 5.7 yards per carry!!!!
  10. If you want to see what @BADOLBILZ banging the table for a player looks like, you should look up his Mike Gillisee takes!
  11. I believe that is when this happened- https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/flashback-jim-harbaugh-once-broke-his-hand-punching-jim-kelly/
  12. The signing of Hart is a good clue, IMO
  13. You're safe here. We're very accepting. Although, not too sure what you see in teef
  14. Looks like Emperor Fauci will have the biggest impact on this one.
  15. The bye is really the bigger issue, IMO
  16. lol, I've never seen so much hyperbole about a player. Surprised Spencer Odgen Munoz isn't already on the wall of fame.
  17. Bet the farm on Indy!
  18. If the Bears had drafted Mahomes, it would have been a fantastic trade. It didn't work out because Trubisky busted. But, IMO, the logic was sound. Pay that money with a promising QB on a rookie deal.
  19. In general you can't predict injuries. But we saw first hand that Sammy didn't take care of himself physically and that shows up in all the nagging injuries. I mean the guy was out playing pickup basketball games at LA Fitness while he was too injured to play football. Idiot removed his own cast a home too... Identifying proper character goes into making a draft pick.
  20. LOL, if they take Woods off the field for Beckham they're idiots
  21. Don't love Edmunds missing this game. With White dinking and dunking over the middle, I'd almost rather be without Tre in this one than Edmunds.
  22. Imagine, everyone's favorite whipping boy, Dropson Knox, and a raw rookie 5th round pick- with a year plus playing experience at the FCS level after transitioning from playing TE in 8 man football- being so important to this team.
  23. The point is that it happens all the time and is not flagged. Like constantly. Then, all of a sudden, in this situation they call it?
  24. Just add up all those titles!
