I'd like to see Elam get a little confidence back. The most important young players to see develop and play well right now are Bishop and Carter, IMO. I'm probably most interested in seeing Cine, and the roll they put him in.

Yeah, I think it would be possible to overcome the deficiencies in scheme if we had a dominant front 4. Not only do we lack any real impact players on the line, but what makes it even worse is that we spend resources there like we do.

It's likely only going to get worse. I just can't stand the approach, it's so passive. They try to keep everything in front of them, and make teams "earn it" with long drives down the field. Betting that they can't string together a long drive of execution without making a mistake. The problem is- as we have seen- in the playoffs against the best teams the offenses do tend to execute.

Cook doesn't really have elite long speed. But he gets up to that speed very quickly

And who is now playing where Thuney played? I'm seeing this presented as some big upgrade but it's really just shuffling things around.

I think in these last few games the opposing defenses will have a slight advantage... They can probably eliminate preparation for designed QB runs and anything that would put Josh at unnecessary risk. We still should win, but there is the factor of us being careful vs. our "nothing to lose" opponents.

I wonder…. How many more years at this level of play before we start to hear HOF whispers?
