  1. I know Josh is great and the only reason the Bills have any chance at success. But stylistically he has to be very difficult for an OC to handle. IMO Josh is never going to be a guy who just goes out there and flawlessly executes a scheme as called. He simply prefers to play off schedule and create. People get all exited about the hurdles, flicks, and other backyard plays- but I get most excited when the back foot hits and the ball is out on time within the structure of the offense. Or when the pressure is diagnosed and beaten with his mind getting them into the right play. There have been flashes of this at times, but too often he reverts to this "cue the circus music" style and looks for the first excuse to bail from the pocket. I like what Brady has done with the run game, and I think that going heavy- and committing to it more- is our best chance at success as currently constructed.
  2. Doesn't seem to bother the Chiefs every year
  3. It’s simply Josh’s style to play off schedule
  4. More handoff practice less commercials for Hollywood
  5. Allen is awful in the pocket. Always just wants to exit
  6. No wonder we had a “whiteout”
  7. Regardless if the situation, you cannot rush back and ruin your first round asset. if Hairston and Strong are both still going to be out a while then they need to explore a trade for a one year placeholder
  8. That’s just because you use the metric system
  9. I wouldn't care if we were 0-6 coming off of a Lombardi
  10. I don't think there is a bigger slam dunk than Kamara to the Chiefs. Hopefully that doesn't come to fruition.
  11. I generally agree with this. Should be an interesting trade deadline. I agree that our biggest current need is CB, but we hopefully have the long term answers on the team already so any addition there would be a one year rental IMO. I think WR makes the most sense for a high end trade target that would fit into our future plans. Beyond Shakir, I don't think anyone is locked in to being a key piece moving forward. I could see a swing for Olave. If we don't go that big maybe someone like Lockett. I agree, Dline is set unless we move someone. I think safety is going to end up fine. It looks bad now but I think it will improve as they get more reps together. Bishop seems to be coming on and Rapp has played well in the past, I think they will round into form. I don't think you just insert a new player into this position that is so dependent on familiarity with one another. LB is another position to watch.
  12. Yep. This team could very easily be sitting at 1-4 right now. There are issues.
  13. The overall body of work over the past two years shows that it was an off day, not some systemic problem. The defense on the other hand...
  14. I find the focus on the offense to be truly bizarre. It's been historically good. If we fall short this year it will be because of the defense, again.
  15. We've done that before and then in the playoffs we have no healthy Wr's.
  16. My concern is that, historically, these "lulls" seem to last for multi-game stretches.
  17. Despite his incredible arm Josh has never been great with the deep ball. Most people think a great arm automatically means a great deep ball but that's not the case. A Russ Wilson moon ball is easier to track and catch than a laser with limited arc.
  18. We have among the worst.
  19. Maybe they are just using him for parts. Between Spector and Milano we might be able to cobble together a LB
  20. The AFC sucks. Stay afloat until Joe is back
  21. Is this supposed to be reassuring? We also miss the one seed every year and lose in the playoffs.
  22. Seems like it ends pretty predictably every year
  23. They did. Then Josh led a FG drive…
