  1. Maybe we are the best and have been unlucky?
  2. Just keep getting to the tournament. The ball bounces funny in a single elimination tournament and the better team doesn't always win.
  3. I know, look at our horrific offense and the giant trade he pulled of for one of the leagues best WR's...
  4. There are so many conclusions being made that are revisionist based on results. Had we won that game, which obviously could have went either way, are the Chiefs the one with the problems considering we've beaten them the last two regular season games and the one previous to that?
  5. Yeah, I'd say a borderline top 10 TE and a first round pick at the position SHOULD be a top 5 duo.
  6. I'll be surprised if he's not elite again. It's not like he ever won on pure athleticism anyways. Looks to me like we have 4 legitimate outside corners which is a great problem to have.
  7. We've hedged those issues a bit with the signing of Rapp and Floyd. I expect Tre to be much better this year.
  8. Cooper and Chase did as well.
  9. LOL, there is a wide chasm between relying heavily on the RB and taking the occasional checkdown when it's there. Jerick McKinnon had 71 targets, that seemed to work out ok...
  10. I said nothing about changing anything to accommodate Davis. I simply would like to see a more consistent lower variance approach. Seems like our favorite play on 3rd and 2 was a 40 yard sideline bomb.
  11. So you want to change the personnel on one of the best offenses in the league???
  12. I'm saying that simply weighing bulk production with catch rate doesn't tell the story. Gabe's average depth of target was 5th in the league at 15.3 yards per target. And Gabe had more CATCHES than anyone above him on that list even had targets. Compare that to JuJu's average depth of target being 7.3 yards- good for 117th in the league. There is obviously going to be a much higher catch percentage on the types of passes JuJu was targeted with vs. Davis. Maybe there is credence to the idea that Gabe just isn't good enough to run a diverse tree. But I think the problem more lies with the Bills offensive philosophy. This "bombs away" backyard football approach is high variance. I'd like to see a more consistent approach with quick hitting plays that run on-time. I'm tired of the highlight reel hurdles and amazing scramble drill plays. Everything just always looks so difficult. The biggest head scratcher last year was the obvious emphasis at signing multiple pass catching backs only to never use them. We went after McKissic, signed Duke Johnson, drafted Cook, traded for HInes. It was bizarre. I don't know if this is an OC problem or Josh problem but I'd guess a bit of both. Josh seems allergic to taking what's there at times and I don't think Dorsey had the chops to reign him in.
  13. All this catch rate talk is absurd and lacking context. Obviously a guy that works the slot with a much lower ADOT is going to have a higher catch rate than someone that works deep.
  14. Diggs was very frustrated at getting all that money up front!
  15. What an amazing thread! Leaving off Belichick, Tomlin, and Carrol (at a minimum) is tremendous!
  16. Maybe, one day if @BADOLBILZ ever has his first bad take he'll be able to participate in this thread!
  17. I thought Peterman was going to be good. Loved his quick release.
  18. I see. Juju is a slot anyways so that doesn’t really work
  19. Are you saying Hopkins wouldn't be NE's #1???
  20. Not just any adult, but a prodigy since the age of 15!
  21. That's the kind of take that gets you the "President" name plate on the office door.
  22. Is someone holding you in this thread against your will? Blink twice if you need help!
  23. This narrative fits with McD's comments that he's seen a "new Josh" this offseason- which I thought was a bizarre comment to make. Also with Josh saying that he's never been this locked in. Like what was the situation before? Disappointing.
