  1. And Keon would no longer be the slowest WR on the team!
  2. Reggie Gilliam needs to be on any up list. We need to run primarily 13 personnel
  3. Just re-watched the game, and my biggest takeaway was Reggie Gilliam. What a monster. This dude needs to be on the field A LOT.
  4. Who were these better WR's we had last year?
  5. I completely agree. I don't care if I never see another hurdle, stiff arm, or "cue the circus music" backyard play again. Get us into the right play at the line, identify the pressure, and run the play that is called on time and within the structure of the offense. The excuse train is out of control. First we we're too pass happy and one dimensional, putting too much on Josh. And we we're running Josh too much risking the franchise. Then we neutered him and were not running him enough. Now we run too much and Josh just can't get into a rhythm! Our run game and oline is just too good! And my favorite- "he needs to get hit more to get into the game!"
  6. That's always been the case. He prefers to see an open target and then rifle it in rather than anticipate. That's why we had all that talk about limited RAC years ago. Hard to get RAC when a stationary target gets hit standing in a zone. His bread and butter were those deep ins to Diggs. It's also why all these "expert" all-22 breakdowns claiming "who is he supposed to throw to?" are basically useless. You rarely see guys just running free, but based on leverage you can throw them open.
  7. Ed seems to wear down throughout the year. Makes sense considering his size and position. IF he is able to return this may be a blessing. He could be fresh for the postseason.
  8. What is not being talked about enough is that our run blocking is incredible. Check out Gilliam on that long TD run
  9. We also need to find a way to keep him fresh for the postseason. Wish we had another capable back to take some of the load off.
  10. It's not simply hitting or missing. Cleveland had Baker and the Jets had Darnold. Even Geno put together a nice run prior to this year.
  11. Brady turned guys like Shakir into superstars while having very limited outside guys- outside of a few years with Moss where they actually never won a title. Running the same Erhardt-Perkins system. Josh is supported by a superior oline and running game, and a very good TE room. Does our $300m MVP require A+ talent at every position group around him to succeed? The constant excuses for Josh are laughable. He simply needs to be better.
  12. His best play was the throw to Shakir. On-time within the structure of the offense allowing the receiver to make a play. We need much more of this and less escaping the pocket scrambling around to create.
  13. We'll let you know when you're allowed to start watching again.
  14. Did McDermott give us a comprehensive update postgame?
  15. And those were the exact concerns for him coming out of college as well.
  16. If he was this close to being able to play this week they would have opened his practice window weeks ago. I'll be absolutely shocked if he plays.
  17. That's all fine, it's his life to live. But it doesn't really compare to the maniacal single mindedness that drives the greats, in sports or beyond.
  18. Josh is great but it seems like every year he is changing his mental approach. Usually the greats are all wired to be absolute killers.
  19. We definitely need to manufacture touches. He's good with the ball in his hands.
  20. I can see the off target deep balls now!
  21. There was a recent interview that I saw where the question was something like “What is one thing you’ve learned from Hailee.” His answer was “that I’m more than a football player.” Josh was never a tape grinder in the first place. But this new elevated fame from a high profile relationship and MVP might diluted that focus, as you say.
  22. The D made stop after stop in the 2nd half giving Allen the ball several times down one score, all while giving up a grand total of 3 points.
  23. I think Vrabel is going to want to run up the score on the team that fired him.
  24. LOL, the guy who went to the hospital with an injury after last weeks game?
