Yes, accuracy is very important. But at this point, first ever preseason game, I find it hard to quantify. Is he fully in sync with his WR's yet? Maybe he threw the ball right where he wanted to but the receiver wasn't exactly where he expected? Ran a route at a slightly different depth? At this point I'm much more concerned with how he looks out there. His command of the offense. How he calls the plays, gets guys lined up. HIs poise, pocket presence, and decisiveness. Stuff like that.

Yes, crazier things have happened than a first round quarterback developing into a quality starter.

I was VERY impressed with Watson. Yes, he missed some throws, but his command of the offense was impressive. Running a hurry up two minute drill in his first game? Seemed to have a real good feel for pressure, and kept his eyes downfield while he was moving around extending plays. Looked good to me.

Of course it's not simple. But, IMO, a physical approach at the line is better than playing off. Try to disrupt the timing and create pressure up the middle. Having the horses up front is the key

The point is that he had one solid season in the league. 60 catches for 800+ yards is a solid season. It is not nothing. Simple stuff. And my question was more based on said posters body of work, not just this one topic.
