  1. Not really the backups on D. But yes, it's bad
  2. No way I would do that. WR is WAY deeper than RB
  3. No worries, just wanted to clarify
  4. I don't see him ever coming back. Golf is a young mans game.
  5. I don't see how that happens. Shady is clearly in the top 3 at RB right now, IMO. I'll definitely snag JWill late if I take shady
  6. No Tyrod mention? He's a pretty good fantasy QB, especially in 4 point passing TD leagues
  7. I think you are confused. Screens are thrown to dynamic athletes. Guys like Desean Jackson, not Hines Ward
  8. Yes, Sammy makes every team in the league better. But team building in complex. This is partially where I see the real value of analytics (Not when to punt or whatever). Analyzing contracts, cap allocations, draft pick investments, etc., and comparing to successful championship teams. How do winning teams allocate their resources?
  9. I'll try to find the stuff I've read on it. I was responding to impacting a game without getting the ball
  10. At this point in his career, I'm not ready to say that Matthews can't do that. And I'm certainly not ready to say that Zay can't. I feel like the "terrible" trade crowd is arguing with themselves in this thread. Keep throwing out stats about how great Sammy is. Great. I agree, as do most people with two eyes. The real question is about team building. I don't think it's crazy not to think that paying an elite #1 receiver big money, if he would even sign beyond the franchise tag, is the best idea for a team in our situation. Save the cap space, and accumulate picks, and give us the flexibility to go after what really matter- a franchise QB. Yes, you can try to do both, but the having more picks and more cap space just increases your odds. Plus, you can't pay everyone. Lets go over the best receivers in the game, again- OBJ Julio Brown Green Hopkins Dez How many championships? You can do this exercise with greats going back to Megatron, Moss, and TO. Elite WR's are great to have, and yes, good players are better to have than bad players, but great receivers alone just don't move the needle that much. Especially when you have to decide how to spend your limited resources. And double especially on a run first team without an established franchise QB employing a WCO horizontal attack.
  11. Jordan Matthews, and Boldin, are among the best blocking WR's in the game.
  12. I'm sure the lockout will coincide with our championship window
  13. Are you foreseeing Mr. Goff lighting up the league with Sammy?
  14. I'd love to have Sammy on this team. Anybody would love him on their team. But I'm going to trust that McBean have a plan to build this team. I am going to let it play out and reserve judgment.
  15. The man is absolutely special. I wish he had gone to a better situation, I'd like to see him fulfill his potential. Not sure he will with the Rams
  16. And then factor in Shady's comments where he said that Sammy has been a superstar his whole life, and never really had a mentor to show him how to do things the right way... There is definitely some smoke here.
  17. He's more of a combination of Julio and Moss
  18. I think he could have easily averaged a triple double
  19. I think BB saw value in Moss. He didn't get a big contract if I recall correctly. Do you think, in general, that the Pats* have invested heavily in their receiving corps?
  20. Possibly. But in doing so, they traded back and pickup up an extra first for next year (which is widely considered a better QB class at this point). A little different than trading up for a non QB, and giving up future assets to do so without a franchise QB in place.
  21. He's talking about the actual draft pick
  22. Doubt it. They are fine with McFadden and Morris
