  1. I heard Zimmer compare Case to Warner with regards to late development. He is going nowhere.
  2. Was his forward progress stopped, or did he pull the ball back himself?
  3. I apologize if this has already been discussed, I haven't been that plugged in due to the holidays. My understanding of the rule is that "breaking the plane" is only applicable at the goal line, correct? In the field of play- if a runner crosses the line to gain, and then retreats, the ball is spotted where the runner ends up. Unless of course his forward progress was stopped by an opposing player. On the play in question, the runner reaches out beyond the line to gain and then pulls the ball back. Shouldn't the ball have been spotted at the point where he pulled the ball back to?
  4. It's hard to think that they kept him through all of these injuries for nothing. I doubt they brought him back off of IR to not play him.
  5. Yep, he hasn't ever really been available for us. But he does have a track record of solid ST play in this league.
  6. I bet we see Colt Anderson active instead. Replacing Holmes means replacing ST play, not WR play.
  7. Thanks for the link. I'll give it a read, love the nostalgia To me, a big win is defined by feeling. How does the fanbase feel? What is the discussion on talk radio? The mood around town? And the realities of the situation feed those feelings. A big win can completely change the conversation. Like I said, beating Brady and Belichick on the road with our first year head coach on Christmas eve in a game that would basically put us into a win-and-in situation- with one to go... It's just big. I realize this is all putting the cart far, far before the horse. Odds are we lose, but this is the NFL. Anything can and does happen.
  8. Opponent is part of the “bigness” of a win, to me at least.
  9. I’d say that is right, I was thinking about that scenario. This game, being against the Patriots, means a bit more to me.
  10. You really think it would be the same? This win would surely feel different, to me at least.
  11. A win in Miami is no given, and a loss there would not be embarrassing. Look at who they just beat at home... Regardless, just one more win still puts us in pretty good shape. A loss next week would not diminish the importance of our new head coach marching into foxborough and winning a meaningful game against Brady and belechick. To say it would mean nothing if we miss the playoffs is laughable.
  12. A win this Sunday against the hated patriots*, and the accompanying playoff implications, would be the biggest win since when? It would certainly be the biggest of the drought. It is time.
  13. How does Washington have the leverage for those type of demands? Go ahead and franchise him for a third year...
  14. I don't know if they are serious contenders, but I do know one thing- Doug Marrone is playing some serious 4-D chess!
  15. No one even knows where any of these picks will be yet. I highly doubt this is true
  16. Yes, we have a mixed economy. Pure capitalism does not work
  17. I think these table slammers would be fine if they just hydrated properly and had a pre-slam kale smoothie. What if the added attention leads to new regulations affecting the way responsible tailgaters can operate? That is my concern. I couldn't care less what these idiots do, unless it affects me.
  18. By far my favorite part of the whole deflategate saga is the emergence of scores of mouth breathing mass-hole physicists! Natural gas law!
  19. Everyone knows that they only called him "The Deflator" because of his weight loss!
  20. I'm a fan of the jersey bartering system. Also, nothing tastes quite like a nice cocktail sipped through butt cheeks.
  21. It's amazing that he's the only professional athlete to stumble upon this approach...
