  1. Me too. Big difference between Minny’s 2nd rounder and Houston’s IMO.
  2. I didn’t say that. I said that this is his age 31 season.
  3. He will be 31 in November. Most would consider 2024 his “age 31 season”. For example, Spotrac does.
  4. Something I pointed out prior to this is that there are two ways to look at the cap impact. One is the immediate, where Diggs’ cap hit is about $4M higher this season if traded. The other is that the overall cap impact would be $19M higher to keep him in 2024. It hurts this season but opens up things next. Side note: The Bills aren’t paying Diggs anything this season. The cap hit is from money they already paid him.
  5. Gave it a B. I think Beane did very well to get Minnesota’s 2025 2nd round pick. That team has talent, but no QB. Barring another move they will be rolling with Sam Darnold or a rookie.
  6. They’ve been working on trading Diggs for a while now. According to a football writer I know who was in Vegas for SB week, the Bills trying to trade Diggs was THE big rumor among teams.
  7. Apparently the cap hit is more manageable than he is on this roster. Not a surprise to some of us.
  8. If that’s really what you think, then you should stop lambasting people who question Allen’s change in off-season regimen and say that he should work harder to improve and stay sharp. No one here has said that the rest of the roster or coaching should not be doing the same.
  9. Why do you pretend that this is an “either-or” situation? The team leaders set the standards and expectations. Among players Allen is far and away the Bills’ most influential leader.
  10. This brings up a good question. Are we supposed to draft like we would or like we think the team will?
  11. First or second round. Zay Jones
  12. 1. Browns 2. Commanders 3. Patriots Thanks for running this, Virgil.
  13. Can’t believe that I looked this up for this board. Many theories but no real evidence of a specific person or composite.
  14. The terms of the PSL transaction would seem simple enough to clarify. I’ll wait and see how it all plays out. And tens of thousands of fans should not all need lawyers for that.
  15. The pricing will come out. My issue is with the specifics on how the PSLs work. There is a ton of misinformation out there now because it’s not being explained. I am sure that it will be put in the fine print in legalese at the last minute. The result will be that a lot of people will buy them without understanding what they bought. I lived in Cleveland when they got their last stadium and it is what happened there. I’ve watched for it in other cities since and it seems to be the playbook NFL teams use.
  16. Carter did not crash his car. He was racing with the woman who did. She was way over the legal BAC limit when she crashed her car, killing herself and one of her passengers. Same stupid drag racing, less serious results for Rice. Carter still has a huge lawsuit against him.
  17. That is not thought to be true. IIRC the Scrooge character was based on Dickens’ father. Thus the two very different versions of him in the story. Scrooge’s treatment of his workers was a social and political statement regarding the (mis)treatment of the working class which was seen as very disposable at the time.
  18. The only real issue I have will this entire situation is the obfuscation by of important information. I have zero issue with capitalism - businesses setting prices for their goods and services and customers making decisions on whether or not to buy them. But it is not right when a business purposefully misleads its customers by withholding information about the transaction. And while caveat emptor certainly applies, it’s still very shady. And it seems to be standard operating procedure for the introduction of PSLs.
  19. Ebenezer Scrooge was a fictional character whose character change was the point of the story.
  20. Burrow has beaten KC/Mahomes in the playoffs too. And he made it to a Super Bowl. I haven’t heard any big uproar of criticism of Allen this offseason either. Do people say that he (and the Bills and McDermott) can’t get it done in the playoffs? Absolutely yes. That shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone since, you know, they haven’t gotten it done in the playoffs. People said the same thing about Peyton Manning until he won his first. There’s only one way to change that narrative - Allen, McDermott and the rest of the Bills need to get it done. Until then, the existing narrative will only grow louder and stronger.
  21. Having season tickets for an NFL team - or even simply attending an NFL game - is a luxury. If people want to spend their money on that, that’s great. If they don't and would rather spend it on a vacation or a pool or save or invest it, then that is great too. To each their own.
  22. for the kids out there this is boomer for "frfr"
  23. This is not necessarily true. I had PSLs at a stadium in another city and only had the rights to the seats for football. The Pegulas can make other events part of the PSL package - or not. It is 100% up to them. Functionally it doesn’t make much sense to tie PSL holders to their seats anyway. One issue is that some seats won’t even be used for concerts as they’d be behind the stage. Also additional seats would be added for an event like that and other seats would be in much better or worse locations than for football. It’s easier to just allow PSL owners to buy the seats they want before the general public.
  24. Fields will be a FA after this season unless the Steelers extend him or pick up his $25M option (which is incredibly unlikely).
