  1. That sucks. Was rooting for the Raiders this year. A SB would've been a great parting gift to Oakland.
  2. It depends on which two plays you mean. Two plays could just as easily mean 5-10 as it could 9-6 to this team. Buffalo fans remember that the Bills got jobbed against Seattle, but quickly forget (or ignore) that Jax got jobbed against the Bills. You are what your record says you are. They're an average team right now. They've beaten a bunch of bad teams and lost to a bunch of good ones. It's not difficult to figure out.
  3. They both have trouble getting the ball out. Taylor often seems to have trouble finding/deciding where to go with the ball. Wentz has a glacial delivery.
  4. No. They had 2. And 7 alternates, which aren't invited to play in the Pro Bowl unless the players from the top squad decline or play in the Super Bowl.
  5. Correct. Does anyone know how many alternates are on each tier?
  6. You seriously think Tyrod was the sole reason the Bills could run the ball? Not giving McCoy much credit, then? As far as pressure and sacks go, Tyrod's inability to consistently get the ball out in a reasonable amount of time is much more often the cause of problems than the OL is.
  7. I'd prefer that, but I'm trying to keep an open mind. You never know how the draft will fall and I'm not expecting the solution at RT to come in FA. The Bills might have to get creative.
  8. Not trying to shame anyone. Just pointing out that it isn't Lawson's fault that Whaley took him 19th overall even though he had a torn labrum and that it's ridiculous to expect anything productive out of him this season due to that injury. We will see what he's about in 2017 and 2018.
  9. No, I'm not. But I think you misunderstand me. Here's my thought process. When a GM has information that equates to a lost or at least very unproductive rookie season (at an inexpensive rookie contract price) for a draftee then that should be accounted for in that player's drafted position. It wasn't here because Lawson was drafted in the range he was projected to be taken if healthy. Whaley took Lawson too high when accounting for that. But that wasn't my point. My point was that it is unfair to hold either Lawson's draft position or his mostly unproductive rookie season against him. I expect him to be a quality player long term and he's one that I liked a lot pre-draft. His draft position probably won't be an issue in the long run. I see that as a knock on Whaley, not Lawson. But I see Lawson taking the brunt of criticism for it right now. The other knock I see against him is that some people think he is a Mario style player and are griping because they aren't seeing a great speed pass rush from him. But that's wrong, too. He isn't that kind of player at all. He should be stout at holding the edge and he should still get some sacks, but he won't be just blowing by quality LTs to get them (unless he sets them up). He'll have to use technique and his strength more. He had zero NFL practices to work on technique before he came off of PUP and his injury and recovery time when his shoulder was immobilized has certainly robbed him of his strength. Again, that's unfair to him. Next season should be much better for him (barring any setback). It'll be fun to watch him grow.
  10. I'd say that they deserve some big praise for their rushing game, which is stellar. But I'd also say that they need to improve their passing game, which seems to be a lot less good.
  11. Sounds good to me. And, yeah, Cogs is a beast. The Bills ran behind him in several important situations on Sunday.
  12. Not true. The Bills are tied with three teams for 6th in that regard. Still good in the 6th-9th range, but not 3rd. https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/offensive-touchdowns-per-game The Bills rank 10th overall offensively in DVOA by Football Outsiders. That's 1st in Rushing Offense and 19th in Passing Offense. http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/teamoff Not really tough to see the problem with the offense when you look at the whole picture.
  13. Yup. It's not his fault he was drafted so high. I've said it over and over again, 19 was way too high for a guy with his injury. Me too. He should be mostly be on the left side of the DL because he's not a speed rusher. Too many here expected him to be Mario2. He's a totally different kind of player. He can set the edge and he can some sacks too. But those sacks won't be blowing by a quality LT though. They should be working through a RT and TE.
  14. It'd probably only be financially viable for 2017 though. CK is a FA after 2017 and would, presumably, want to be paid like a quality starting LT if he is one. I don't think the Bills can carry two OT contracts like Glenn's. If CK walks, then we are likely asking Glenn to come back to LT. Or would you look to pay CK, trade Glenn and find a new RT? It would depend on CK's level of play and the health of both. Still, it might be a good solution for 2017 while another OT is brought along for 2018.
  15. - Way, way, way to early to know if CK can be a quality LT. - Still remains to be seen how Glenn would play at RT. As noted about CK, sometimes a guy is only good on one side. Flipping sides is usually much tougher than most think and even when a player can do it, it usually takes time. - Short term money won't be an issue, but if CK is successful at LT and Glenn is successful at RT then things are going to be ugly when CK is due a new contract and Glenn is still making big LT money. That is probably not feasible. And CK has only one more season on his deal. Is it worth movingly Glenn for 2017 only to possibly move him back in 2018? That seems to be inviting some real issues.
  16. At least the Browns don't give you any hope. The Bills are far more cruel, giving hope seemingly with the sole purpose of later crushing your spirit.
  17. CBS has him at 23rd overall and the 4th best WR prospect. Honestly, I haven't started to look at prospects in earnest (and most sites are still updating player evaluations with this season's tape) but from what I've just read, Davis would be a great fit here. I don't think I'd call him the best offensive player in this year's draft, but he's certainly worthy of consideration for our first round pick.
  18. Plus a rookie QB that team's figured out 4 games into the season, oh, and a horrific HC.
  19. While I'd be looking at Cardale (if he is at all ready to step on the field) I do understand why they're playing TT. They are still (barely) mathematically alive for the playoffs and Rex might rightfully think that a loss to the Browns would seal his fate. The top of the organization has to agree that seeing Cardale play is worth 3 straight losses to end the season and that TT isn't going to be back next season before the move is made because once Taylor is benched he's never stepping on the field as a Bill again. That's a tough decision to reach while playoffs are still technically possible. Then there's the fact that Cardale come into the league this season as a highly talented, but extremely raw player. There's a good chance he's nowhere near ready.
  20. Outstanding rebuttal
  21. Ditto. I expect a Bills win in as depressing a fashion as imaginable.
  22. I was in your spot a couple of weeks ago, but now the ship appears to have sailed on option 2. Fissures are appearing. We've seen that in TT's postgame Q&As with the media and with some comments from other players. I hope they blow it up, but I can see them blaming it all on TT and keeping everything intact except him.
  23. There is no cancer. There are people that aren't as competent as we'd like and there are people who are putting their own agendas before the team's. But there isn't anyone intentionally trying to put this ship on the rocks.
  24. If only.
  25. I've never been a Jim Harbaugh fan. He's not nearly as good as his brother, John. Jim hasn't lasted more than 4 years anywhere. He wears out his welcome with his antics and is always looking for his next job. Also, I've never seen a bigger whiner. His crying is constant and that rubbed off on his team this past season. It was evident in the scUM vs. tOSU game. He screamed and cried for calls constantly throughout the game and his players did the same. It's a big reason they lost their focus at the end of the game. I have zero desire for that kind of coach.
