Got some tidbits from someone that regularly speaks with GMs. Recent leaks are from SF and not completely accurate. They are trying to show SF in a good light and having been offered better comp than they were. Aiyuk and his agents overplayed their hands and rubbed teams the wrong way with demands and lack of willingness to negotiate. SF is currently the only option for Aiyuk. That could change if his camp’s tactics change, but there is no sign of that happening.

The way I understand betting is that a $100 bet on a result with +180 odds returns $180 if you win. If you put $100 on both the Jets and Bills, then you’d lose $20 if one of them wins the division. (Two $100 bets invested and one $180 in winnings.) Or you’d lose all $200 if the Phins or Pats wins it.

At least he’d be in the NFC. But I agree, it could make getting a SB win tougher.

I remember seeing a stat during that season that Allen had more turnovers than turnover worthy plays. Typically that stat is a little under 50% for QBs. There looked like there was some terrible luck early in that season. Edit: For those unfamiliar with the TO Worthy Play metric, here’s an example. A pass that hits a DB and is dropped would qualify, but one that hits a WR in the hands, gets popped up into the air and picked off would not.

I can see Vrabel coaching Philly next season.

For context, both the Browns proposal and Bills new stadium had 50-50 financing with overruns borne by the team. The Bills financials for their open stadium were $1.7B total, with $850M coming from the public. $250M from Erie county and $600M from NYS. The Haslams want a $2.4B domed stadium with $1.2B coming from the public. So bigger numbers for the dome, but more utility for the building. Also some inflation in the numbers. Overruns borne by the team are smart public policy.

I’ve had it for years and love it. It’s a great deal if you love football. The condensed game format allows me to watch almost every NFL game. 45 min per game (or thereabouts). Pretty much just snap to whistle so most of the garbage commentary is gone, which is nice. There’s also a coaches film option which gives the All 22 views.

I looked at the layout of Hopkins. They have 3 runways - a 10k ft, a 9k and a 6k. The 9 & 10 are perpendicular to where the stadium will be so no issues. The 6k is directly in line though.

Haslam has already agreed to foot the bill for cost overruns.

Let’s hope that strip gets revitalized too. It’s a rough area.

https://www.clevelandbrowns.com/news/a-letter-to-cleveland-browns-fans-across-northeast-ohio-and-beyond Article and 3 min video of proposed stadium and surrounding development. Article discusses financing. It’s freaking beautiful. I would note that the area is currently the rotting shells of auto plants. The impact of this on Cleveland would be tremendous.

Jimmy Haslam wants a Jimmy World like Jerry Jones has his Jerry World. He’s putting a ridiculous amount of money up for it so it’s going to happen. It will also allow the Browns to expand their practice facilities, which they currently can’t because they are land locked.
-
That would be fair.

I think this lends credence to Aiyuk going to the Patriots. If I were the Browns I’d sure leak something like this if I knew I didn’t get him. Edit: Their feed also gives better odds to the Patriots and states that they are offering more money.
-
I think that of the teams involved, the Patriots would have to offer him the biggest contract to go there. As for the Steelers, the last I heard was that they didn’t meet SF’s price.
-
If accurate, he took the bag.

My statement addressed his words and their context.

It would be a long term play by the Browns. Aiyuk is 26 and would have a long term deal in place. Cooper is 30 and will be a FA after this season.

If that’s your term for misogyny……..

Good question. I’d love to know what the deals look like. It’ll be a WR plus additional player and/or draft pick compensation. SF can’t just take picks if they want to compete for a SB this season. They need someone to replace Aiyuk to some degree. That likely would be Amari Cooper from Cleveland as I doubt Moore moves the needle for them. The Patriots would probably include former 9er, Kendrick Bourne. I don’t see another realistic option there. So much on the pick side will be determined by what WR goes back to SF. Also there’s the money angle. Cleveland just reworked Cooper’s contract so they might want SF to do the same for Aiyuk so they offset. Or they could lower the pick comp.

Hate is a strong word. As a person, one should be judged on their character. If someone show themselves to be of poor character, then they should be viewed accordingly.

Looks like something will finally pop with Aiyuk. SF finally seems motivated to make it happen. https://www.nbcsportsbayarea.com/nfl/san-francisco-49ers/brandon-aiyuk-trade-cleveland-browns-new-england-patriots/1765964/ Source: 49ers have Aiyuk trade framework with Browns, Patriots

When I lived in Columbus a tornado went through a friend’s neighborhood. Two houses had minor damage. The one between them was gone. One of the craziest things I ever saw.

I'm really starting to love this WR room. We quietly got better

Not accurate with KC. They lost their following game two of the three times they beat us in the playoffs. So the league handled them. In fact KC’s SB win this past season was the only exception. The other five times the team that beat us in the playoffs lost their next game. But you’re hopeful that McDermott will improve. I do too. We seem to be stuck with him so what’s the other choice? I’ve seen enough that I’d have gina another way. You haven’t. That’s cool. I hope you’re right.
