  1. Yeah he has. I didn't have much hope for him based on what he looked like in Cleveland, but he's changed my mind. Looks to be a great signing and a quality starter.
  2. To me it felt like we are a QB away from being a very good team, a favorite to make the playoffs at least as a WC team. Thanks
  3. Glad you're back out there and having a good time, John. Good luck.
  4. My family in North Naples is okay. Scary times and no power for the last half a day, but all are well as of now. Hope everyone else here and their families are faring as well.
  5. Jest still have a lot of talent on their front 7 and were focused on McCoy. The Bills did very well running the ball considering that. We're going to have agree to disagree on Tyrod. Loved what I saw from White too. Agree there. And I agree with the grain of salt comment. It was against a bad Jest team.
  6. Overall it was a very positive game for the Bills. The rushing attack looked great. The defense looked very good. The passing offense had its moments and it was good to see him hit Clay over the middle. I think Taylor is doing everything he can to help the team, including running the ball well, but I still don't see him getting through progressions. That's what's holding the team back right now. He's got to find his second and third options instead of locking onto his primary and then running if that's not there.
  7. Contracts in the NFL don't usually have much in the way of guarantees (except for elite players) and teams often void them if players aren't living up to them. This is just the other side of that coin. It's a business. Why get bent out of shape when a player holds out and not when teams release players?
  8. Appreciate the info. Can't say as I blame him.
  9. That sure looked like Gilmore expected the safety to be there over the top. The safety dragged another receiver across the middle of the field all the way to where the other safety was. It just looked odd. Just rewatched it. There was another WR running free opposite Hill. Something was wrong with that defense on the play. It totally left open both of the deep sidelines.
  10. My dad, his wife and much of her family is in the North Naples area. Her mom can't travel so they're all staying. Hoping for the best..... Best wishes to all who are there and all who are traveling out.
  11. Can't believe you actually watched it. That's what DVR's are for. Pause and skip until it's over.
  12. Nice to see the effort.
  13. The Bills will be pretty average this season, around 7 wins. Some people will complain about how they suck and some will convince themselves that the Bills were a few plays away from the playoffs. Some will realize that they're a middle of the pack team that's probably going to trend up.
  14. A good team should comfortably beat the Jest this season. I expect that. A great team should be able to play vanilla schemes and beat the Jest. I don't expect that.
  15. .That's precisely what Rodak said. Not a tank. Retooling for the scheme and mentality of the new regime. Trying to win now but also looking toward the future. It makes sense from where the Bills were when McD took over. It's how I also see it and I'm good with the approach.
  16. What kid doesn't dream of making the NFL All Preseason Team?
  17. The Jest are so bad it won't really matter, but I'm sure McD still wants to do everything possible to ensure a victory in his first game as Bills HC. Plus it is a strategy that could carry to the second week.
  18. Getting back on the practice field is obviously a good sign for Tyrod, but it'd be smart of McD to let it be known that he's practicing even if he's still unlikely to play. That'd keep the Jets guessing as to who was going to start on Sunday.
  19. Agreed. They're going to have to pay Webb for the whole season either way because of his veteran status so it makes sense to cut bait with Yates. As for Taylor, I doubt anyone is looking to deal a significant pick for a QB at this point so he gets to stay for the season.
  20. No surprise on that. Could see this coming the day they way overpaid him and gave him the contract. Greco would be a very good pickup. Great person and above average OG. Boone's concussion issues scare me.
  21. John Greco was a surprising cut by Cleveland. He's an above average OG - and can play C as well. He'd be a nice pick up.
  22. It was the 6th that the Steelers sent to Cleveland for Justin Gilbert, who's now gone. They also sent a 2019 7th round pick back to the Browns.
  23. I understand what you're getting at, but to be fair Haden was an All Pro 3 seasons ago. It looks like he's lost it, but he's still under 30 and if he gets it back.......
  24. Here are the actual numbers:- Dareus has a cap hit of $16.1M this season. - Trading him now would result in dead money of $20.6M. That's instead of the above hit, not in addition to it. - The Bills would get hit with a $4.5M larger cap in 2017 if he was traded now. They have that to spare. - Please note that I'm just giving the numbers here, not advocating for trading him now. https://overthecap.com/player/marcell-dareus/1830
