  1. Just because we want a better QB2 than Trubisky doesn’t mean one is available.
  2. There is nothing dirty about that cut block. And the RB didn’t engage until after Teller cut him. Perfectly legal block of the type you’d expect in that situation. What we have is a Seahawk fan upset that one of their players got hurt.
  3. “significant” depth at WR? lol
  4. Mike Brown’s too!
  5. The Bengals will let Higgins walk and pay Chase. I wonder if they’ll tag and trade Higgins next offseason rather than let him hit FA tho.
  6. Justin Jefferson got $35M AAV so a deal just shy of that was expected. But, yeah, that is a lot of money/cap.
  7. Lamb. Parsons is a fantastic, elite player, but there are a lot of rumors that no one in the locker room would miss him if he got traded. Probably next offseason since he’ll be a free agent.
  8. Metchie is a slot-only WR. We don’t need another one of those.
  9. Safety is played from the neck up. Being an elite athlete on top of that will make a safety great, but an elite athlete at safety busts if he doesn’t have it upstairs.
  10. Surprised by Deion Jones getting released. I thought he might start - or at least split playing time - in place of Milano.
  11. You are correct. Thanks.
  12. The Cardinals might be the least talented team we play this season. The Pats are in the running but we play them twice at the end of the season. Who knows what impact attrition will have on them and us by then. The Cards are not strong in the trenches or at CB. I would hope that we don’t have much trouble with them.
  13. While spending a day 3 pick on him would have been reasonable, I don’t get the fascination with a deep threat who can’t figure out how to make over the shoulder catches.
  14. No. But sometimes there are commercials so annoying that I refuse to buy that product and encourage the continuation of them. Sometimes they have athletes in them. The only exception I can think of is that I’d buy Josh Jaqs cereal for my daughter because she kept asking for them.
  15. Horsesh*t. You know how you can tell the difference? When things are good the irrational, emotional people are way too high. Everything is perfect for them and they get upset when the realists point out what they think is not. That’s when the realists get called pessimists. But when things go wrong those same irrational and emotional people crash. Suddenly everyone sucks and the team is garbage. I’ve never seen a realist come down on the team like they do. In fact, those same realists keep their even keel and are the ones to tell everyone that things aren’t that bad. They point out that changes need to be made - often the same changes they advocated for when things looked good to many - but that there’s still a lot of good. They are the ones who can see the path forward from bad times.
  16. ICYMI, McDermott has been pushing this team in the opposite direction with his “complimentary football” directives.
  17. I feel ya. But it’s where the league is now.
  18. You’re not wrong. After the excitement of being legit SB contenders for 4 straight seasons as well as the preceding ascension, a retooling year is a bit of a letdown. That isn’t to say that teams haven’t surprised and won it all with teams like this. It’s happened, even if rarely. Outside of Allen this team really lacks star power. We’ve got some good talent and some quality players, but the elite playmakers either aren’t here or haven’t fully emerged yet (looking at you Kincaid). There’s also Von Miller. Formerly elite, 35 years old and hopefully healthy and able to hit some of his pre-injury high notes. Watching the Bills retool and develop with the hope of getting back to where we recently were isn’t as fun as being there, but it’s part of the ride. Besides that, anything can happen on game day or even over the course of the season.
  19. NGL I don’t like the movement away from “football” to “big event experience”. It isn’t just the Bills, it’s the NFL as a whole.
  20. $33M AAV would not set a record. Jefferson is at $35M.
  21. I don’t know that we have much info on our OL. Preseason week one they looked terrible, but I do not put much stock in that. Easy for the Bills’ starters to be less emotionally invested in that fake game versus what I’d expect from a team like the Bears who likely were looking to show thst they’re turning things around. The OL looked much better against the Steelers, but they didn’t play their best DL. I don’t think we will really know what we have until week 4 or 5 of the regular season.
