  1. Gordon had one “good” season? He played 14 games that season - and led the league in receiving yards. And he had garbage at QB. (Notably Calvin Johnson played that year.) That’s a long way beyond just “good”.
  2. Shady is 30. Aside from the craziness involved, this is what I keep thinking about in relation to the Bills and a possible suspension. He’s under contract for this season and next and that’s going to effectively be it. At 32 he’s not going to be a top back or highly paid. Any suspension (or poor play due to distraction) will cost the Bills that portion of his remaing useful career here.
  3. That wouldn’t work because Russ was her boss. That power dynamic would make it easy for her to sue if she got fired. Looks like they’re still paying here but keeping her pic off of media.
  4. I agree. It just sucks to see no hope for anyone but NE to take the division.
  5. The Jest and Phish are two of the three teams rated behind us
  6. It’ll be interesting to see how it all works out because there’s that other thing about markets - the market sets prices based on perceptions of value, but there are often wide variances between that and actual values.
  7. The problem here is that the Bills don’t just need to add talent to their WR corps, they need to add YOUNG talent to their WR corps. Thomas is 30 and Sanders is 31. No thanks unless the 30+ yr old WR is a FA (or unexpectedly cheap from a draft pick standpoint).
  8. Both. Crispy and hot. I used to be a drum guy until I learned how to eat a flat. The key is to grasp it by the ends and twist it back and forth until one of the bones breaks free. Remove that (easily) and it’ll come clean off the other bone. Chunky Bleu cheese and celery are a must.
  9. That is not true, the Bills could certainly afford JJ. The Bills have $17.6M in space now ($11M more than Atlanta) and the third lowest obligations in the league in 2019. That said, Atlanta isn’t trading him.
  10. Not sure if they are trying to extend his deal or not. JJ has three more years on his deal and Atlanta only has $6.6M in cap space. He’s still the 8th highest paid WR in the NFL. My bet is that he’ll have to play at least this season (for Atlanta) under this contract although they might choose to restructure it a bit and give him more cash up front.
  11. No. Buts it’s totally a matter of convenience. I’d do it if I had time and wasn’t so cheap.
  12. Agreed. It might come down to what the team gets offered for him. He’s not really a good fit now so he’s got to be worth more to another team (where he’s a better scheme fit) than he is to the Bills. Sooner or later that trade happens.
  13. I thought that it was a good idea to give Peterman the start last season. Sigh.....
  14. Yeah. Not really a surprise to see him on the block. He fit Wrex’s defense, but he’s not a fit in McD’s at all.
  15. It’s tough to know what to say when you can’t just be honest and say “KC paid me waaaay more than anyone else was offering.”
  16. Allen is a high ceiling, high risk prospect. That shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone. That risk (and the market he will play in) makes him easy to rip. It’s stupid for anyone to write him off before they see how he develops though. I’m sure not.
  17. Move heard that his kids have strongly encouraged him to keep playing and it’s a big reason he’s done so. Gottta call it at some point and he’s gotta be thinking about walking away from the game and into that life you mentioned while he still can. Also you know he’s going to be in a booth and that’ll pay pretty well too.
  18. It’s between Parker and Benjamin. I’ll give the nod to Parker at this time. Edelman is third, but he’ll likely produce more because of Brady. Pryor didn’t really develop last season, but he’d be my wildcard.
  19. Awhile back a poster mentioned that a friend who works in an NFL FO told him that sometimes teams will make a trade like this as a favor. Team A trades a relatively highly drafted player who busted to Team B for a conditional pick. Team B then cuts the player. This is just a way to avoid the headline of the Jets cutting Hackenburg.
  20. Yeah. It does make sense when you think about it. They used some of their collective capital to cut back practice and lessen the wear and tear on their bodies.
  21. The high pay is due to the revenue and profits of the league. The players that provide the product sold have a union, but it’s the weakest union of the 3 major sports and the CBA reflects that. You are correct that there really is no side to pick as the rules have been agreed upon. In this case a team broke one and a fine has been levied.
  22. I used to not be able to one unassisted. I started with a leg on a chair. Then I did what I could unassisted and finished the set assisted. Now 3 sets of 10 unassisted is in my workout. I actually surprised myself getting this far.
  23. Totally agree. Tons of other issues too. Although I’d consider going along with the OP if the returned money went to the fans who spent money on tickets, jerseys, etc.
  24. http://www.profootballhof.com/photos/gallery/hall-of-fame-rbs/ There’s a link to current HOF RBs. I agree with those who say he’s not there yet, but could certainly make it if he finishes his career strong. Right now he’s on the outside looking in with the likes of Steven Jackson, Fred Taylor and Corey Dillon.
