Report: Bengals looking to trade WR John Ross
BarleyNY replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It would not take a 4th. This is only about the Bengals dumping his guaranteed contract. They’d probably flip picks 181 for 183 and Ross. And I still wouldn’t do it because he can’t play WR. -
Bills have interest in TE Dwayne Allen; visited 3/6
BarleyNY replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He had two more than Dion Dawkins. If having a player that can block well, but never catches the ball is what you’re looking for then why not just line an extra OT up at TE? -
How can we not be all in on Metcalf now?
BarleyNY replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thats not remotely true. CJ was incredibly productive in college and was excellent running short and intermediate routes due to his cutting ability. Metcalf can boast none of that. -
Browns exploring trade offers for Duke Johnson

Hunt is willing to accept up to a 6 game suspension. Anything more and he’ll appeal. -
Report: Raiders shopping Derek Carr
BarleyNY replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Heard that the Jags and Foles have a deal in place. Inside source so I can’t link. No draft pick compensation for Foles like there would be for Carr. -
Chris Trapasso Mock Draft: Bills take DT Ed Oliver
BarleyNY replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can’t see Oliver making it to our pick, but if he does we got very lucky. Run that card up! He’d be a fantastic pickup. -
This article sums up the Bills’ situation pretty well: Based on publicly available figures from Spotrac and the NFLPA, the Bills are required to spend about $213.95 million in cash dollars between 2019 and 2020 (assuming a $10 million salary cap increase in 2020) in order to comply with the CBA-required 89% team minimum cash spend. Currently, the Bills are at around 88.3% for 2017 and 2018 (the minimum is computed-based on a 2017-2020 average), and need to spend around $83.1 million in 2019 in order to be on pace to meet the minimum of 89%. The team already has $87.375 million in 2019 committed cash, so it shouldn’t be difficult. If only the minimum cash spending to be on pace is equaled in 2019, the team would then be required to spend a whopping $130.85 million in cash in 2020. The Bills currently only have $46.25 million in committed cash for 2020. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.buffalorumblings.com/platform/amp/2019/2/11/18218124/buffalo-bills-need-to-spend-cash-this-offseason-to-meet-nfl-requirements-nflpa-salary-cap

How can you possibly have a SECOND team that you root for?
BarleyNY replied to Bakin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I grew up in Cleveland and have always rooted for the Browns. They’re my #1. Great city and fans. I live in Buffalo now. Great city and fans. So I adopted them as my 2nd team. Heat to head I would root for the Bills over the Browns if they had something to gain and the Browns didn’t. For example, if the Browns were out of the playoff hunt and the Bills were in it. Otherwise it’s Browns, then Bills, then against some teams - Pats, Steelers, Ravens. -
Justin Houston available via trade
BarleyNY replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Heard from a friend in the know that KC wants to rid themselves of Houston because of character issues. “Locker room cancer” and “plays when he wants to play” were the two things said. This isn’t first hand information but it make sense. -
You never know, but it looks to me like he’s just trying to sell the pick. He’s acting like QB needy teams might miss out on their guy if they do not come all the way up to 1.

Jets place a 2nd round tender on Robby Anderson
BarleyNY replied to buffalover4life's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You are correct, it’s your own pick or better. -
That could certainly have a lot to do with it. Season tickets sales are usually the giant driver for overall ticket sales. But I’d wager that a big part of the jobs of the people fired was to overcome that. They were getting compensated very, very well to perform and they didn’t. The just paid the price for their results. Some jobs are like that.

Home attendance averages, Sabres: 16-17: 18,141 17-18: 18,563 18-19: 17,888 That seems like a big dip in attendance for a team that just improved its record substantially. The reasoning could be nothing more than this.

Report: Bengals looking to trade WR John Ross
BarleyNY replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He has $4.8M guaranteed in salary over the next two seasons. The Bengals would be on the hook for that if they cut him so this is a salary dump. -
The two year, $4.8M projected deal would not prevent the Bills from upgrading. That deal would be on the table until FA started.

USA Today's 4-Round Mock - I'd be Thrilled
BarleyNY replied to BigDingus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Would love that trade back, but I'd hate the Metcalf pick. Jawaan Taylor would be my choice. -
5th rounder. Hed be a serviceable #2 back on the right deal. I sure wouldn’t commit any big guaranteed dollars to him or give him a deal that would necessitate keeping him long term.

LA Times ranks the fast food french fries
BarleyNY replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in Off the Wall Archives
Agree that Five Guys has far and away the best fast food fries. I totally disagree with the article after that. It’s probably because I like a fresh, hot, crispy, thicker fry. McD’s suck. BK’s suck. I don’t go to either place anymore. When at Arby’s I get the potato cakes because they have to make them fresh every time. It’s better than soggy curly fries that sat out for 20 minutes. Chik fil A’s waffle fries are pretty decent. I’d like them crispier, but they aren’t bad and they are a great ketchup delivery device. The best fries I’ve had in Buffalo we’re at Marble and Rye. It’s definitely not a fast food place. Those fries are even better than Five Guys - and by a fair bit. They’re still in second though.
