It would surprise me that an adult would really care about the number on their uniform. I know it happens, but it still surprises me. I’m guessing they haven’t even begun to worry about who is wearing what number. Lots of moves to be made. I’d think Poyer would keep his number since he was here before Gore and will be here after him. On a side note, I hope Gore gets at least 4 TDs this season so he hits the century mark for his career.

Sure, but you can have different targets in different rounds. Maybe there’s a DT or two they’d love at 9, but they have contingency plans if they aren’t on the board. Second round or trade up from there.

You never know what constraints and directives a GM is working under. If the Giants aren’t blowing up that team and going all out for QB of the future and total rebuild, then someone there is stupid. Could be the owner, could be the GM.

Their owner doesn’t have any major money coming from another source like most. The Raiders are the family’s revenue source. Couple that with two other facts: 1) the Raiders are the lowest revenue team in the NFL and 2) there is a clause in the CBA that requires all unpaid guaranteed money to be put into escrow at the time a contract is executed. That tells you a lot about their current financial situation and why they’re moving to Vegas.

It was more about giving up the 9th pick in the draft as well as the biggest WR contract for a 30 yr old WR. If we are talking a more reasonable trade, then I’d be in - even with a contract like AB’s.
