  1. I can see your point and I do expect the Bills to take one somewhere. But there should still be WRs available as UDFAs who would have been very draftable players in most years. So even if it shakes out where we don’t draft one there’s still some hope.
  2. It’s difficult to see a fit here for Delpit. I get that he’s talented and that he played through injury last season. But the getting a safety early (and with that much draft capital) would have to mean that we’d be in Big Nickel most of the time and want 3 on the field most of the time. Someone to edge us closer to a positionless back 7 would make sense. But how does taking a guy who could be a stud centerfielder make that happen? Anyone comfortable with Poyer moving to the Big Nickel spot? He’d be the best bet and I don’t love it. It sure couldn’t be Delpit anytime soon with his tackling issues. I see Delpit as a fit for C2 or C1 teams. His range is just too good to put elsewhere. I know we play those looks, but as a C3 team I just don’t see using a lot of draft capital on a player like him. Honestly I can see the Ravens taking him in the first. He’s exactly their kind of player and the kind of pick they’d make.
  3. How far up do you think #54 and a mid rounder will get us? To get back into the first round it would cost us 54 and next year’s first. Even 54 and 86 would only get us to 38 per the usual trade chart. I highly doubt we’d do any better than that in this draft as early round two is a pretty sweet spot. https://www.drafttek.com/NFL-Trade-Value-Chart.asp?RequestTeam=Buf
  4. I would totally be on board with that one. Might be my favorite yet. Also the red helmet with the white standing buffalo would make a cool throwback. As you can probably tell, I am partial to the old school style buffalo.
  5. Dunno, it seems like a pretty minor adjustment needed by NFL teams and agents. So it takes a little while longer to hash out UDFAs and teams will have to be more organized. So what? My 14 yo daughter and her friends could handle the real time information sharing from their homes. She’s doing that every day right now. At a time where some Americans are having real hardships this seems like a pretty minor inconvenience.
  6. Wow, that was a poorly done article. There seemed to be no methodology to it at all. It’s supposed to be about the overarching QB situation - QB, contract, backups, coaches and supporting players - but the writer sporadically used and ignored those criteria to create his rankings. FWIW Minshew only came in last because of his supporting cast.
  7. Doing a draft from zero really wouldn’t tell you much about the QBs except who is proven and who is going with upside. The better question is: What kind of contract would you give each player, particularly Allen? That is a particularly good question since it’s one that’ll need answered in the real world soon.
  8. So sorry about Kenny ?
  9. Only the losers B word about bad calls because they’re the only ones looking for them. The winners are on to the next game. Few notice the calls - whether they’re good, bad, questionable or just properly enforced bad rules - when they go in their team’s favor. They only dissect them when they don’t and they lose.
  10. Interesting article and discussion. Why not just make it a defensive TD and award it to the defender making the tackle? Proceed from there like any TD. 6 points and PAT/2-pt conversation, then kick off to follow.
  11. Please update this post to reflect the fact that as part of the Clowney to Seattle trade Houston ate $7M of his contract. This is 100% true and is reflected in the dead money attributed to Clowney in 2019 shown here: Texicans 2019 salary cap info Edit: spelling/autocorrect
  12. RB is a big need. I do favor adding one that is a complete threat though. A RB who can pass protect and catch the ball out of the backfield are important parts of the passing game too. Right now Singletary is all we have and the offense changed dramatically when he was out getting breathers or missing games last season. I am not interested in pushing our luck. Get me another quality RB who has a complete game. I don’t care where we find that RB, but we need one like that. Edit: Singletary had 151 rush attempts (and 29 receptions) in 12 games in 2019. I have to think that we’d have run the ball - and run it much more effectively - with a second quality RB getting touches.
  13. Want to amend this. It’ll likely be takeout but sushi from Fuji Grill will probably be first. Not technically dining out, but I can’t get it now. Lola is the bomb if you like Michael Symon’s restaurants.
  14. “That’s not funny, that’s sick” had that on the cover. It was a tremendous comedy album. Bill Murray and Brian Doyle Murray were on it, among others.
  15. My opinion of CC has changed over the years. He started off bad, but really seemed to take his job seriously as a professional. He got quite good and insightful there for awhile, but then he fell back down into pretty bad territory. A lot of it is getting stuck on talking points, some of which are very questionable to begin with. Then there’s my biggest pet peeve - when he does little besides state the obvious.
  16. I seem to remember that he was pretty decent early in his career. Maybe he just got lazy and started phoning it in.
  17. Probably Prescott’s Provisions in NT. Unless there’s sports on, then probably some place for wings - like Bar Bill.
  18. Agreed. Time for us all to come together for the common good.
  19. Second try Oops. Pasted into wrong box. Fixed OP. Thanks for the heads up.
  20. He’s at total POS. People quit over him coming back to work for the Browns the second time. My first thought upon reading that story is of Belichick calling other GMs to see about trading up in the first round. (Lombardi has often worked for him as a consultant.) At this point Lombardi could totally throw off everyone simply by telling the truth once.
  21. Link Due to the restaurant slowdown and cancellation of the NCAA tournament the US is sitting on a huge surplus of wings. I, for one, intend to stock up the freezer.
  22. Weird, right? Actually I do like rye. Besides, scotch is 100% barley.
  23. Nice! On hand I have Regans Orange, Angostura Aromatic and Scrappy’s Lavendar.
