  1. What vet cut after 6/1 will be a meaningful addition here?
  2. Yeah. That hurt. I am sure he’d have been the pick.
  3. It’s just such a trash draft in general. I have a tough time complaining about Carter. The talent left at the end of the third this year would be found in the fifth round in a more typical draft. I get why they’d take a safety as they have a huge need there. Bullard is probably my favorite pick of this draft so far. It’s good to have a safety that can cover a TE. I am disappointed in the trade with KC as well as Coleman. I hate WRs who lack lateral agility and can’t separate. I’m not sure how he’s all that useful in this offense. However he is young and possibly hasn’t fully developed as a player yet so there’s some hope. Still, I’m not a fan. I’ve got little hope for much on day three. We have a lot of picks, but the talent isn’t there. We will be into priority UDFA players by about 150. Maybe we have enough lottery tickets that one pays off. Hopefully the Bills use them to move around to get a guy if they really want him.
  4. I was not a Franklin fan. Not saying he isn’t worth a day 3 pick in this draft, but a late first is ridiculous. the trouble he has tracking and catching balls thrown over his head is very concerning. He’s so poor at it that it could prevent him form every playing a meaningful snap in the NFL.
  5. lol. honestly I’d love it. especially in this draft
  6. Yep. For all those saying that KC would’ve probably gotten him anyway, it’s important to note that we were the ones that made sure they did.
  7. Not true regarding him as a prospect. Not optimal size for an outside CB, but big enough and with a fantastic skill set.
  8. It became obvious that the Bills were doing a soft reboot this season when they cut ties with so many vets, ate so much dead cap and drastically cut cash spending. Few here were ready to admit that the Bills would be less competitive this season than the last few, but that’s the reality. Even I thought that they might go big for a top 3 WR in this draft and lean into the offense for a path to a good playoff run. They’ll have cap space to spend in FA next offseason. If they do that well and draft well this season and next we will be at the forefront of another open window in 2025. Even this season we should be a good team, just not a real contender.
  9. Not as sick as I am of people here pretending McDuffie was a Slot Only CB prospect so they can say we didn’t really want him. Revisionist history so they can excuse the Bills’ mistake.
  10. Thank you. The Bills fans here pretending that we got one over on KC are hilarious. They’ve been better at talent evaluation, team building, coaching and execution on the field than us. But, hey, we turned a 4th round pick into the last non-compensatory 3rd round pick and moved waaaay up on the 7th round. All they got was the WR they really wanted. 3-D chess! Genius!
  11. That’s logical. Obviously things can change substantially over the next four years, but I see your point. The more global concern is, of course, that using a high pick for a safety rather than a WR is a poor use of resources. Your numbers illustrate the relatively massive amount of money saved on a quality WR vs safety playing on rookie deals.
  12. 5th year options are calculated for each position using salaries at that position.
  13. Very possibly. But over Newton? You know how he loves DL. But then again I guess we could use someone to cover Worthy now.
  14. There’s almost no way that this works out positively. Every TD pass thrown from the NFL’s best QB (who the Bills handed to KC) to the WR that holds the combine 40 record (who the Bills handed to KC) will be an emotional trauma. It will repeatedly churn up that Mahomes trade. After a big trade up for one of the top 3 WRs I honestly thought that our next best option was a trade back to acquire another meaningful pick in this year’s draft. But that couldn’t be with KC. This is devastating.
  15. Logical, but emotionally devastating maneuvering.
  16. He’s gonna be so broke when he’s done playing football.
  17. The Bills do not have anywhere close to the cap room to trade for a WR unless he’s on his rookie deal.
  18. Dallas foolishly was going to cut him for cap space. The Browns pounced. And they only gave up a fifth and swap of sixths.
  19. Then I stand corrected. I had no idea. thanks
  20. The Bills made their choices. It didn’t have to be that way. Also the position they are in has nothing to do with optimal off-season strategy.
  21. He is saying that IMMEDIATE needs should be addressed in FA so that teams can focus on drafting the best players for the long term.
