Jags 2 steps closer to London move

I made my preferred changes in bold above. I like your general idea, but think this makes more sense geographically. I left Cincy and Indy in their current divisions, but would be open to flipping them -

Antonio Brown: Apology Tour - Preparing for return?
BarleyNY replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sure he can. He seems like the kind of guy who’ll do it too. I’m just pointing out the gravity of the situation if/when it happens. -
Opened at 8.5. I could see some slight upward movement if they go nuts in FA. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.sportsbettingdime.com/amp/news/nfl/opening-win-total-odds-all-nfl-teams-2020-chiefs-highest/

Antonio Brown: Apology Tour - Preparing for return?
BarleyNY replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He’s made about $71M in the NFL. Plus whatever advertisement money he made. That doesn’t include anything he gets from his lawsuits against the Pats/Raiders. I’m not saying that he won’t blow through it all, but it’s going to take real effort. Even after taxes that’s a lot of money. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/new-england-patriots/antonio-brown-6702/cash-earnings/ -
Should Buffalo Trade for Alshon Jeffrey
BarleyNY replied to Dkollidas's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’ll see if I can get that from him. He also writes for a Browns site and I’ve seen what he’s written about fits there. But the Browns will likely be running a scheme that utilizes a lot of zone blocking. That’s a bit different from the Bills although we also need somewhat nimble OL because they all need to be able to pull. -
Should Buffalo Trade for Alshon Jeffrey
BarleyNY replied to Dkollidas's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I know the guy who did the article (Sobo) a little bit. He was just having some fun with possibilities that make some sense for each team. FWIW he is a big fan of how the Bills FO attacked the interior OL last off-season. He is a former lineman and is always a good person to get opinions on everything OL and DL. -
I was in Pittsburgh a few weeks ago and a large amount of pizza and wings were ordered in. Someone said “I’ll bet these aren’t as good as you get in Buffalo.” My complete answer would’ve taken like 10 minutes so I just shrugged and didn’t say anything. I didn’t want to be THAT GUY. For the record on the wings I had one. Huge bats that couldn’t possibly cook anywhere near as fast as the flats. Had a bat. Meat wouldn’t pull away from the bone. Soggy skin and not just because it was takeout. They were in the big, disposable chaffing trays and there was about 2” of sauce they were swimming in. I got one off the top but it was still really soggy. Asked which ones were the hottest. No heat at all.

Not sure what he did. I certainly don’t condone illegal prostitution, but he could be on the registry for doing precisely what he was caught doing here as a oliciting prostitution can get a person on a sex offender registry. Or he could have done something much worse. Dunno. -
I’m very sorry for your loss

Jags unlikely to allow Yannick Ngakoue to test FA
BarleyNY replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That is all correct. This year of the contract was obviously structured this was to force an extension before the season or let Dareus hit FA while he could still get one last big contract. Side note: Since this is the last year of the current CBA, the June 1st designation does not apply to any player - even those cut after 6/1. If a player is cut or traded it all hits this season. -
Jags unlikely to allow Yannick Ngakoue to test FA
BarleyNY replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Teams are only supposed to use a tag with the intention of retaining the player, but there isn’t much to be done if the team makes an effort to do so. In this case the Jags clearly want to keep him even if he doesn’t want to be there. -
Our #1 need Is on a rebuilding Carolina Panthers team.
BarleyNY replied to Conlan93's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree. I have no problem trading high picks for young, proven talent. But there’s almost no way Carolina would want to trade him. The theoretical caveats to that - unreported serious injury, major locker room problems, looming suspension - would make me not want him. -
That makes no sense. You’re saying that you don’t want an elite quarterback because you never want to have to pay one. Too much fuss is made over paying franchise QBs. They’re well worth what they make. Teams have to draft well and be willing to swap out some expensive players at lesser positions, but that is far easier and much more preferable to finding another elite QB.

What would a T. White Extension look like?
BarleyNY replied to Franchiseneedsme's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/tredavious-white-21768/market-value/ Spotrac estimates his market value at 5 years, $78M. That’d be the biggest contract for any CB. I say that he’s worth that. I’d do it as an extension, not a new deal. That would keep him here for 6 more seasons and keep the salary low this year, but he’d get his signing bonus a year early. -
You’re going to get murdered here for this because it’s been brought up and argued so often. You’ve been a member since ‘03 so I don’t think that you are trolling. I’d bet that you just occasionally visit here and didn’t see it before. Quick answer: Love Tre, he is a fantastic CB. Josh has great potential. But in this league you take a top 5 QB every time over those.

Robert Saleh vs. Sean McDermott...Who you got?
BarleyNY replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Saleh was not expected to be that serious of a candidate for the Browns HC position. His interview nearly got him the job. It was extremely close between Stefanski (who had the advantage of being Depodesta’s guy the previous year) and him. That guy is going to be a HC in the league very soon. -
