  1. Dalton’s signing made me think of this video. It’s from 2009 but it is crazy how long they’ve been without a decent QB there.
  2. You’re crazy. Mack isn’t tradable for Chicago and trading back in the draft really wouldn’t lessen our cap spend by anything significant. Also I doubt we’d pay another top WR.
  3. I suspect he also will get on the field in more 10 personnel. There really was no other player who could do what Beasley did for us. Now we have Sanders that can. Good for RZ, moving the sticks and redundancy in case of injury or just breathers. It is more than I’d want to pay for what I expect to be a #4 WR, but it’s not crazy. I also understand why they’d go this route rather than to just draft a rookie for it. Sanders is way more of a sure thing.
  4. That’s correct. He’s a possession WR now, but according to PFF over the last 3 seasons he ranks 15th among WRs in overall grade and 16th in separation. Beane has really only gone after receivers who can separate. He should be valuable, but we still need a burner to take the top off the defense.
  5. He has to show up and at least try to play. If he retires for personal reasons (not football injury) then he forfeits his remaining salary, including guaranteed money. TO BE CLEAR I’m not saying that he’s not going to show up in shape and do his best. I’m just saying that this is what someone would say even if they were going to phone it in and pick up their money.
  6. Yup. Also tags do not count until they are signed. I believe that NO is now under the cap because Marcus Williams hasn’t signed his franchise contract yet. When he does the Saints will have 24 hours (or is it 48?) to get back under.
  7. Shoulda said DiMaggio
  8. Yup. The moves being made make a lot more sense if that’s what’s happening. Watson could sure be trying to force a trade to NE or another contender.
  9. Obviously you’d want to check that out first, but the man asked what difference making DEs were out there on the trade block. Hunter certainly fits that bill.
  10. Danielle Hunter, DE Vikings is said to be on the block. He’s a stud but had a bad neck injury and did not play last season. Edit: Also he wants PAID
  11. Odd. She says $32M in first two years, but her breakdown only adds to $30M.
  12. If I ever need a contract done for anything I’m going to hire Dupree’s agent.
  13. I do not think we know what Beane will do as far as pushing the cap. The popular narrative is what you stated, but we haven’t seen Beane in a position to need to push the cap. The other big thing is that 2021 has big one year decrease in the cap, but it’s expected that 2022 will see a huge increase. It really makes sense this season to structure (and restructure) contracts to aggressively push cap hits out to future seasons.
  14. DE is a big need. It’s definitely one position they’d make such moves for.
  15. Yup. This is what I think is happening.
  16. Correct. I’m sure the groundwork for restructures is in place, possibly already written into some of the recent large contracts.
  17. Bills are in good cap shape. They have the ability to create some real space if needed. It isn’t a big limiting factor for them this season.
  18. S John Johnson to Browns. Not that we needed a safety.
  19. There should be good value for a CB at 30. Probably well into second round talents by that pick but we’d have our pick of the majority of that tier CBs. We will have to see how things fall.
  20. Njoku actually performed pretty well last season, albeit in limited snaps. He really improved his blocking. I’m sure that any team trading for him would require signing him to an extension as part of the deal. Heard he might be heading to NE for Gilmore, but that might be dead now with NE signing a TE. Hunt is an elite back. He’d easily be worth a day 2 pick especially considering that he signed an extension and has very reasonable salaries.
  21. Indeed. I’m happy to see the Ravens weakened too. Though I really don’t see Judon as low risk. He’s not the DE I’d have jumped at and either he made out really well for himself or the DE market is going to be insane this offseason.
