  1. The first issue is that you are ignoring supply and demand. Teams generally field 3 WRs and one RB per play. There are not 96 (32x3) quality starting WRs for teams to field, thus the price for them goes up as teams bid to acquire even enough starting caliber WRs to fill out their lineups. OTOH the supply of RBs that are starting caliber or who can be effective in a platoon is in excess of their demand. The Cook specific discussion should be had in one of the existing threads.
  2. The Steelers have always been good at managing problem players like him. Plus the Burfict hit seems to have made his mental issues much worse.
  3. I’ve heard rumors that some people - generally men - will offer drugs to others - generally women - so as to entice them to perform certain favors. Again, just a rumor.
  4. The Eagles out-coached KC in the SB. And it was not close. While Fangio is every bit as good as Spags at DC, I don’t think that many of us thought Moore would out-coach Reid. But Reid’s game plan was trash while Moore’s was quite good. Reid stupidly ran plays that were easily covered by the scheme with which the Eagles had dominated all season. To make matters worse he didn’t change it up until the second half. By then it was too late.
  5. Patrick Wilson of Weezer wrote the song “In the Mall” about going to the local mall in his childhood. The mall he wrote it about was the Eastern Hills Mall in Williamsville/Clarence.
  6. No really. He had 134 defensive snaps last season. 59 of them came in week 17 against NE. The remaining were mostly clumped in three other games, two of which were blowouts. So not a lot of meaningful defensive snaps. He did play a fair bit on Specials tho with 241 snaps. He seems to be a regular presence there. LINK
  7. Yep. And the writer doesn’t understand the salary cap. Only $3.56M in pay and cap would go to a team that traded for Teller.
  8. Yep. They’re on pace because they’re adjusting the PSL pricing to do so. Many people mistakenly think that factors such as construction overruns are impacting the cost of PSLs. That was never going onto be the case. The pricing was always going to be based on what the market would bear. The Pegulas were not going to leave money on the table.
  9. Also if you’re looking for Joshua Palmer, he’s in the middle cluster just to the left of and slightly below Mack Hollins. At least we paid Palmer over twice what Hollins got tho.
  10. Different times and a different CBA. Players pretty much gave up their ability to hold out in the last one. I could see him do a “hold in” however.
  11. Yep. Unless a team wants to take a chance on him and extend his contract.
  12. New Orleans would be a good fit for Pickett. Then need QB help and he has history with the new coaching staff there.
  13. I have always wondered that. But my friend wasn’t one to lie about anything so I believed him. Also I know very little about anything that has to do with body building, steroids or what else that might be done just prior to a BB competition to gain an edge. Maybe something else was going on and he misunderstood it. Or maybe some meathead body builders mistakenly thought it would help them. Dunno. I’ve lifted most of my life and been in a lot of gyms. I’ve seen enough huge guys with severe acne, yellow eyes and rage issues to stay tf away from that crap.
  14. I didn’t say he was particularly good at all WR aspects. You’re right, he’s not. But problems releasing off the LOS is a reason some WRs get moved to the slot, which helps cover up that issue to an extent. When defenders get their hands on Kincaid, he isn’t strong or savvy enough to break away quickly. It’s probably worse for him that he’s listed as a TE since refs seem to allow more contact with TEs than WRs. My point was more that he is a poor blocker - abysmal coming out of college and still below average - and as such he doesn’t give an offense the advantage 2 TE sets typically give in the run game. So your point is well taken. If he isn’t going to be an effective blocker he needs to make up for that by being a very good receiver. He's never going to be fast for a WR, so he’d better get stronger or more savvy.
  15. This was MANY years ago when I was in college. A friend, who was absolutely jacked, told me how he used to power lift, then tried body building. He went to his first BB competition and saw a bunch of the competitors juicing in the locker room. He wasn’t going to do that so he gave it up.
  16. Yeah, it’s crazy how many supplements are tainted by so many companies, how many millions of dollars that costs athletes and how there are never any lawsuits against the manufacturers of those supplements.
  17. Honestly, if he’s the best QB on the roster, then he is ready for the field. It’s not like Flacco can’t be competent. If he has things he needs to fix first, then he’s not currently the best option. On that point, the Browns coaches would know where he stands better than some fan on a message board. On that note, my opinion of the situation is informed by a little inside knowledge. the team is working to clean up a couple mechanical issues that show up at times. Nothing major, but you would not want to play him before cleaning them up. Maybe it happens by TC and he shines and is the week one starter. Maybe it takes longer.
  18. Only word on if the Bills are forcing Hoecht or Ogunjobi to room with Kincaid?
  19. KC did it eight years ago with Mahomes - and he was a high 1st round pick.
  20. Disagree. It depends on what the best thing for the development of that particular rookie QB is. If he’s the best and ready to go, then sure. If he needs some work on mechanics, etc. first, then get him right before putting him on the field. Starting him week one and having to pull him after a few weeks is far worse than him sitting him a half - or even whole - season before starting. It all depends when he’s ready.
  21. It shouldn’t be about this year with Sanders, it should be about giving him the best chance to succeed long term. No need to rush him out there. He’s got some things to clean up.
  22. It sucks that this is what it came to for you. Sorry, man. FWIW I got PSLs once when I lived in another city. Had the spare cash at the time and they were nosebleeds and not too expensive. I learned my lesson. Never again. The best football money I spend is on the NFL Premium Plus. It lets me watch every game after it’s completed. The condensed games are great. 30-50 minutes. I usually watch two or three on Monday nights instead of MNF. If MNF is a good game I’ll watch it later in the week. Ditto TNF. Plus there’s “coaches film” which is basically the All 22 views. Great deal for $99/year.
  23. I think so. No guts, no glory. Gotta take some chances like that.
