Yeah. I definitely think Rousseau is a swing for the fences boom or bust type. In a few years there isn’t going to be any hand wringing about whether or not he gets his fifth year option/second contract. He either will be a star and here long term or bust and will be gone. Also agree on Boogie and Epenesa. Lower ceiling/higher floor types of prospects - especially Boogie. They should be both be solid to very good players, but neither is going to be elite.

I agree. It just seems like the Bills drafted for long term positional and fiscal need. The defensive philosophy is predicated on pressure from the front four and quality defensive linemen who can pass rush are the most expensive FA players (next to rarely available QBs). So there’s logic to what the Bills are doing, but I just don’t like the odds of players like GR (and Oweh for that matter) developing.

I wholeheartedly agree. That’s where my mind is too. Let’s get the first one in the bag. The Steelers won’t be a pushover either. To say they came out of the gate strong last year is an understatement and that defense is legit. Week 1 is not when I’d have chosen to play them, but this is the kind of game the Bills need to be able to win if they want a championship. It’s not the end of the world if it doesn’t happen, but knocking off a healthy Steelers team to start the season would solidify that the Bills are in the top tier of the league.

Remember the preseason game against Carolina when Benjamin played his ass off? That’s what really made me hate him. He’d have been a good player for us if he’d have given that kind of effort, but he never did again. F him.

One of the things I like about his length is that it gives him a huge “tackling radius”.

While I appreciate what the guys at Cover 1 do, I think they take a very positive view of the Bills and don’t take a hard look at negatives. I thought they did that with Rousseau. But maybe they’re right. Maybe what he can do well will make him a very effective player. That’s certainly possible. I’m particularly interested in how he handles rushing from the interior. I think that will be a big part of his game if he’s successful in the NFL.

I agree on his situation. His only effective move seems to be using his long arms to shed his blocker. He has no ability to get low and bend an edge and his change of direction is not good enough to turn in on the QB if he can beat an OT to the outside. His highlight reel did not even impress me. He beat up on some bad linemen.

I agree with your take on Rousseau. I was not a fan of the pick for the above reasons and due to his film. His length is impressive and he is persistent, but with his rawness and other shortcomings I just didn’t see a prospect worth close to 30th overall. Of course if he develops well and puts it all together it could pay off.

The Bills mostly utilize Cover 3 and Cover 4. They mix it up and use some others ofc - including Cover 2 - but primarily they’re in C3 or C4.

Agree on Bar Bill if we are talking about the original in East Aurora. Fantastic. But the new one in Williamsville/Clarence is only pretty good.

I agree wholeheartedly with all of that. The only thing I didn’t like about him being in the league was his fans. Every time he was legitimately criticized for something relating to his play you could count on his rabid fans screaming that any and all criticism was based solely on people hating him for being so outspoken about his religion. I never held it against him though and I thank him for that playoff win against the Steelers.

Browns. I grew up and lived most of my life in Cleveland and am a lifelong fan. When it comes to the Browns and Bills playing each other I’ll root in utilitarian fashion. If they meet in the playoffs then I’ll root for the team I think is better and has the better chance at winning it all. Bears - Because of ST coordinator Chris Tabor and QB Justin Fields. Got to know the Tabor family a bit when he was with the Browns. Great people. Also I’m a big fan of Fields as a player and would love to see one of my Buckeyes succeed in the NFL as a QB. Fitz - for the reasons mentioned and because a friend of mine got to know him a bit when he played here. Had nothing but good things to say about him. Josh McCown - in all likelihood he’s retired now, but I wanted him to win a playoff game so bad. He’s one of the true class acts in the league.

I have a Big Green Egg (BGE) now. Previously I had the black Char Grill non-ceramic one. It worked almost as well as the BGE and was a fraction of the cost, but it only lasted 2-3 seasons. If you’re not sure if you want an egg, then it’s not a bad way to go for a couple years to see if you like it enough to drop the money on a ceramic. TBH I find the BGE a little pretentious but I got a decent deal on mine and I’m not swapping it out now. Many dealers have events where volunteer cooks make food on a bunch of them. You can get a discount if you buy one of those. You should reserve it ahead of time though. There are other brands that are just as good as the BGE. My buddy got his at Costco. It was close to the same price as the BGE but it was larger and came with a ton of extra stuff that would’ve really added up for the BGE. It works great. I believe that Cabelas used to have their own brand, but I don’t see it on their site now. Nothing wrong with a Kamado either. Oh and eggs are great to cook on. If you like charcoal cooking then you’ll be happy with one.

It was in the video. She told the “police” that she had autism while they were yelling at her. The guys had “police” on their backs but the local police office said they were not their officers so there is some question about whether they were actual officers.

Couple things: - Autism matters when dealing with people. In a highly confrontational situation where people are in her face like they were on the video it’s a big deal. They should not have treated anyone like that, but particularly not someone they knew had a disability like Autism. That’s gonna be a problem for them. - That place has a water park. There would be people waking around in swimsuits so it is highly doubtful that she was the skimpiest dressed person around.

No. When did I say that? Labels are only meaningful to me when I know they actually denote quality or value. I’m not going to pay extra for a badge or designer label. But if there’s something well made from a premium brand and I want, then it I’ll try to find the best price on it. Sometimes if I really want something I pay full price, but not if I don’t have to.

I’m a value shopper. I like nice stuff but will get it from outlet malls, clearance racks, whatever. F paying full price. And I despise the high end designer label stuff that is about showing off the badge and not about actual quality of product. Not that some expensive stuff isn’t worth it, but most is just people saying “look how much I paid for this”. Gross. As for good wine, give me the $10 bottle that drinks like a $30 bottle or the $20 bottle that drinks like a $50 bottle. I find the good/great values and stick with them. They often don’t last, but the hunt is part of the fun.
