Like when KC had Alex Smith starting and Mahomes on the bench - the team is doing too well with him playing. You can’t rock that boat and pull the QB you’re winning with to start a rookie.

Bengals - Niners 3?

I am stunned

The responsible person’s head should roll

Plenty of time in the half for KC to score

I’m so sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing this sad news.

Ken Dorsey - would he choose OC here or leave to be Daboll's OC?
BarleyNY replied to Heavy Kevi's topic in The Stadium Wall
So you think a lack of offense is the reason the Bills aren’t playing today? Seriously? -
Can you correctly predict who Brian Daboll will steal from the Bills ?
BarleyNY replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not really a lot to take from the offensive side of the ball. McKenzie? Brieda? I don’t think Daboll rushes to pick up either of them. Beasley if cut? Doubtful. Trubisky? Probably can’t due to QB controversy, but he would make a lot of sense otherwise. I just don’t see much happening this year. Maybe down the road. -
Offseason Trade Prediction: We acquire Saquan
BarleyNY replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
So Schoen steps foot into the Giants building, shines up his new General Manager name plate and then ships off Saquon Barkley for Moss a bag of kicking tees? Or something equally as worthless? SMDH. That’s just not happening. -
If it’s okay with Tre, then sure

Brian Daboll hired to be Head Coach of NY Giants
BarleyNY replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
No. The odds of two head coaching candidates being completely even is very remote. So I would choose the best candidate regardless of whether or not another team got a couple picks around #98. And again, stealing away a quality coach from a division opponent would outweigh theme getting those picks. -
Well, it wasn’t because he was practicing kicking into a net. Also he didn’t seem to be the only one.
-
You think that it was difficult to get Bass the play because he warms up with the net when he’s not busy? I’m pretty sure he is used to kicking an XP, then getting the play call for the kickoff. He would not have been warming up between The XP and KO anyway. The issue here is that a play call got made - which he got - and then it got changed - which he didn’t get.
-
I mean, that would be like a hitter in baseball taking on deck practice swings before stepping up to the plate or a pitcher warming up before an inning or a golfer taking practice swings before a shot or…………..

McDermott's first Offensive Coordinator hire back in 2017
BarleyNY replied to Bag of Milk's topic in The Stadium Wall
They'd get a chance to bring in their own QB. They’re not tied to Jones long term. I expect a Giants tear down anyway. -
Brian Daboll hired to be Head Coach of NY Giants
BarleyNY replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
So you think so highly of a coach that you deem him worthy of being your HC, but you don’t think that taking him away from your rival is worth that team getting pick 99 in the next two drafts? You’re way overthinking this. -

Brian Daboll hired to be Head Coach of NY Giants
BarleyNY replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
They are just Comp picks, the hiring team does not lose them. So, no, they would never factor into the decision. I’m happy for Daboll. Good dude, excellent coach and he did great things here. He’s earned his shot and I think this is a great fit for him. -
I love some of you… but I hate this site right now
BarleyNY replied to NewEra's topic in The Stadium Wall
I hope the venting helps. We are all getting over it in our own ways. i do agree with the crux of your argument though - coaching at the end lost us that game. And what’s worse on that front is that the one coordinator who didn’t contribute to that coaching debacle is the one that just left. The 2021 Bills were not a team without flaws, but they were a championship caliber team. If we’d have won the KC game I don’t know if we’d have won it all or not, but this team was certainly capable of it. That’s why this one hurt so bad. Up until now the Bills haven’t been good enough to win it all, but this year they were. And we don’t know how many good shots this team will get. Whatever that number was, it’s one less now. -
Hitting Me Tough Again Today - What Could Have Been

I love Burrow (as a QB) and their WR corps is outstanding. Their RBs are pedestrian and their OL is bad. It was abysmal last season and it got upgraded to poor/below average for 2021. It is bad enough to cost them a game against the Bills or Chefs. It should have cost them the game last week. Their defense is definitely better than most given them credit for. Reader was a very good pick up for them. Pretty solid DL all around. Their LBs aren’t very good, but they have a nice secondary other than Apple, who sucks (and I’m a Buckeye alum). The Bengals are a team that deserved to be in the playoffs this season, but they don’t deserve to make the SB. They aren’t in Buffalo or KC’s class yet. -
The fact that we’re talking about the 25th pick makes it tempting. The issues I have are that a) he’s apparently turned into a bit of a diva and headcase and b) he’s in the last year of his rookie contract. Zero chance I give up a first (plus a fourth) without a new contract in place. Then there’s a likely impact with Diggs too. He’s got a contract that underpays him relative to his performance and I doubt he’d be happy being the best WR on the Bills while also being the second best paid one. Also I’d have to be comfortable with him in the locker room. This one is nice to dream about but there are just too many obstacles. The only way I’d see it is if he was forcing his way out of Seattle and wanted to come to Buffalo specifically. Then we’d still need to get contracts for him and Diggs in order.

Hitting Me Tough Again Today - What Could Have Been
BarleyNY replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall
This year hurt in a way that last year didn’t. Last year KC stomped us pretty handily and then got taken to the woodshed by Brady and the Bucs. Last year was good, but we were not at the level needed to win a SB. This year hurt because we had a very real chance to win it all. Had the KC game ended differently we’d be looking at a home game against the Bengals and then the SB. We’re obviously better than the Bengals and I don’t think that’s close right now. The Rams would have worried me (a lot), but that would have been a winnable game. Also a Rams win over SF isn’t a gummies. The Rams are much more talented, but Shanny is 6-0 against McVay, including a win a few weeks ago. I’d have loved our chances against SF. -

It’s the angle of that picture. On that play Rousseau put his hands up because Mahomes was rolling out getting ready to pass. Mahomes adjusted and sidearmed the ball under Rousseau’s arms. Had Rousseau not put his arms up Mahomes simply would’ve thrown the ball over him. Just a fantastic play by Mahomes. -
Has the NFL season ended for anyone else?
BarleyNY replied to billsintaiwan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m too big a fan of football to not be interested in what happens next. Sure, KC is going to demolish the Bengals. Burrow might get sacked more than last week. But the Rams vs the 49ers is a fascinating matchup. Shanny is the better coach, but McVay has better players, including a big advantage at QB. Xs and Os vs Jimmys and Joes. Same offensive roots in the wide zone, boot leg scheme, but they have gone in different directions with that.
