  1. Whichever indoor football team he's on currently would want too much in return.
  2. Elam has the potential to be a top 10 corner in the league. His question mark was his tackling, not his coverage ability, as evidenced by the fact that his stats a very similar to Dane Jackson's even though he has played considerably LESS. I'm not sure what's going on but McDermott is talking out of his ass by claiming he's trying to put the best players on the field. We've all watched Jackson get beat like a drum most of the season. On basically any other team, Elam starts, no question about it.
  3. My take is that if he continues to play at this level, the 9ers will have a bounty of draft picks after trading Jimmy G and Trey Lance in the offseason.
  4. But you learn with play time. And Cook can easily be in a 2 back set. In fact, in my opinion, 2 back sets would fix this offense to some extent, give it some variety without making substitutions and get two of your better players (Motor/Cook) on the field at the same time. Romo to me kind of gave Dorsey the kiss of death in that Jets game. Pointing out that Diggs is coming out of the game when we're going to run... does that mean Shakir is going in because they trust him to block but not catch? It's very confusing and honestly, the funk this team has been in falls directly on the coaching staff's shoulders.
  5. This coaching staff struggles to identify talent and trust talent. Sitting Elam is the stupidest thing this staff has done so far this year. He was literally improving every game, so let's stunt that... yea, brilliant plan. Definitely didn't want to have the possibility of two shut down corners going into games against the Chiefs, Bengals... Shakir and Hodgins were lights out in the preseason, both could play inside and Hodgins would've been especially interesting in the slot considering his size. He moves on and contributes to his new team. We keep Sakir on the shelf because... reasons? Cook is an excellent receiver also and Dorsey/McDermott have made zero attempt to come up with ways to incorporate him into the passing game. Even worse they TRADE for Hines, who's really only replaced McKenzie as a returner and that's it. Definitely starting to wonder if this is why the Panthers never got over the hump. So close but they can't seem to fully refine this team.
  6. To me, out of shape conjours images of Kelvin Benjamin. An injury is different. That's all.
  7. Has nothing to do with kind of shape he's in, he blew up his knee in February. It took Tre a full calendar year to come back, OBJ was not going to be ready to play this year.
  8. People rating Benford over Elam in this thread. 😂 Don't quit your day jobs.
  9. Nah I think this is definitely the issue. Josh does not make a lot of off angle throws lately. He clearly doesn't trust his arm like he normally does. Not surprising considering his injury.
  10. Thankfully Josh doesn't have Rodgers personality so we don't hear him in the media throwing his team under the bus every week on every podcast that will have him.
  11. How does this help the team again? McKenzie is very full of himself but there isn't anything to really back that up... he did have a hell of a game last year though.
  12. He was one of the best blocking receivers coming out of college. Also I can recall at least 3 throws to him (1 yesterday) where he draws a PI. Try again.
  13. How does he feel about being the defensive co-ordinator in Buffalo after Fraizer finds a new gig in the offseason?
  14. It's all based on chemistry and trust, if Josh isn't given the opportunity to build those things with him, it will continue to be a stalemate. This isn't baseball, too many fans on this board with percentages and decimal points.
  15. I know he isn't getting enough snaps, yes.
  16. Still can't figure out what went into evaluating the receivers in the offseason. Hodgins, Shakir, Diggs and Davis would've made a hell of a group.
  17. Considering Trask was Heisman hopeful his final year and was easily the best player on the field for the Gators outside of Kyle Pitts, I sure hope the Bucs transition to him in the offseason to see what he has. In the drought days I would've been pounding the table for the Bills to draft him.
  18. It's been a brutal six game stretch, started by 2 straight losses, one of which was well in hand and just an awful loss, much like the Chiefs playoff game. It killed Josh's confidence and I feel like he's lost trust in his team mates and they haven't done much to earn it back. A stretch of games plagued with poor defense, drops and crucial penalties. The play calling on offense has been questionable at times, the 3rd down defense has been back braking. What we are witnessing is team that is all-time great, struggling. Still great enough to be 10-3 but clearly not up to their standards set in 2020 and 2021. Beane and McDermott screwed the pooch this offseason. The best QB in the league should be given the best offensive line in the league, or there should an honest attempt to provide that. The Bills brass has ignored it outside of signing Saffold this past offseason and Morse the year before. We are weak at the line of scrimmage on the offensive side of the ball. Teams that can not assert themselves in the trenches typically are not 10-3.
  19. Dane was about what he always is, but McKenzie was brutal today. Between him and the O-Line we couldn't buy a 3rd down conversion.
  20. Pass. Defense looks mostly the same with or without him. Now when a good player goes down, like Milano or Poyer, someone like that, there is a considerable drop off in the entire unit's performance. But I figured with half his tackles for the night coming on one drive the threads would be abundant with his supporters flexing like him over a couple 2nd quarter tackles, which would simply be routine for a good LB. Let's see how many fire Beane threads there are when we don't overpay for Tremaine.
  21. And to think a bunch of people here were trying to say Elam wasn't any good at the beginning of the season LOL As soon as he went out and left the three stooges (Benford, Jackson, Johnson) out there on their own things took a turn for the worst... If we can get Elam and White on the field at the same time for a game, it will be our best defensive performance since the Titans game.
  22. Big money QB with 3 turnovers to lose a game you were leading by 10... Coaching not taking the points to put us up 2 TDs...
  23. Edmunds possessed the ball as he went to the ground. More damning was the fact that the tight end had his arm WRAPPED AROUND EDMUNDS. Unless the man has 3 arms, not sure how you can possess the ball and make a tackle...
  24. Does he have an eligibility left? The Gators could really use him back. 😆 Glad to see him play to his potential in the NFL. He was a stud in college and will be for us as well.
  25. I feel the need to put this disclaimer in here. The media guys that survive on ad revenue are going to say stupid ***** about Allen to get all of you to click. Nick Wright literally wouldn't exist if not for Bills fans not realizing he's a professional troll.
