  1. Drafting high only ensures you have more to choose from, does not mean whoever you pick will be great just because you drafted them high.
  2. Well I think that had more to do with him not being "their guy" as you saw with a good portion of the roster. And no player coming out of college is a sure thing. Rosen has question marks, just like everyone else. It will take the right situation, right coaching etc.
  3. I mean his stats do tell part of the story but some of his throws I wonder what the outcome would be if he had a guy in the same league as even Zay Jones. We'll see though, obviously if it was an exact science no debate would be needed. He has definitely had a couple of bad games, he's a lot like Flacco or (Eli) Manning in that way so that would be something to take into consideration. I've read in some places that scouts think he's pressing because Northwestern just isn't that good.
  4. I'm not as interested in his stats. College QB stats are very misleading. They play wildly different systems, wildly different levels of competition. I just watch his feet, watch his eyes and watch his delivery. Try to get a sense of what the route should be and where he's placing the ball. I don't see anything you have to change in those aspects. He's not a guy that needs to work on his mechanics or change his delivery. Gutted out 3 big wins against Wisconsin, Iowa and Michigan State and really has average to below average talent around him. Falk is a hot mess. Sometimes when you watch a guy throw into coverage you think to yourself "that was a gutsy throw." All Falk does is throw into coverage, which tells me he might not be able to read a defense at all. The Oregon game stood out as a game where he was regularly throwing into double coverage. His arm doesn't look to be any stronger than any of the tier 2 guys either.
  5. Yea they were junk, definitely turned me off of LG products completely, phones and otherwise.
  6. After interviews and workouts, I think Thornson will be a 2nd rounder and I am hoping a Buffalo Bill. High character, good arm, great mechanics and footwork, athletic, accurate and most importantly produces on a bad team.
  7. I came here to say this. He's also athletic though. Was running the option last year in a couple games. I think he's also a second rounder, which allows the front office to get much better front 7 players in the first.
  8. It's actually a heat problem. Phone gets hot under load, chip partially desolders from board, done. Wife and I both had one, her's is the second one she's had and hasn't done it yet. T-Mobile totally screwed me with mine. Said it could be covered under insurance, went through a bunch of bull **** just to have my claim denied when I went to pick up the new phone.
  9. I hated it. In real life you climb over the piles and kill every single one of those people. I don't understand Rick's obsession with this group. Also, why do they all talk like they've never heard the English language? Lame.
  10. Looks excellent. About time Guardians of the Galaxy got a cross over.
  11. My LG G4 bootlooped for the third time and I didn't want a monthly add on so I went with a Hauwei Honor 6X. Beats my Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 in all benchmarks, excellent battery life, nice screen and $150 out the door. Seriously wondering why I ever paid $600+ for a phone.
  12. Yea, the guy that owned that one was the brother of the guy I worked for up here. His first Pontillos outside of WNY was actually Hawaii, then Gulf Gate. Our guilty pleasure was always the Hungry Howies buffet on University. For the price, I still haven't found anything nearly as good. Sarasota has pretty good pizza actually, Joey D's for deep dish is another stand out. We also liked Dino's on Bee Ridge.
  13. Pontillos will always have a place in my heart, considering I worked there for 5ish years. If there weren't so many damn pizza places I would open one myself, loved the work but you've gotta do it for yourself otherwise you make no money lol I am an ex=Sarasotian. Moved back home, couldn't take it anymore. Somehow managed to convince my Venice Beach native wife to come with me haha But on topic, Pizza Chef on Fruitville near 75 (plaza with Publix)is amazing. Family is from one of the buroughs I believe. And if you're on the island in Venice, Ntinos. Doesn't look like a pizza place but trust me, order the pizza.
  14. The trick is to wait a couple weeks before you do what they want. In this case, about a week and a half ago she says "oh, I was at Wegmans and I saw a cinnamon roll beer that I think we should try for fun." Since then, I've been endlessly reminding myself to buy it, but she doesn't know that. So when I bring it home she thinks, awh, how thoughtful.
  15. Sunday I had the Genesee Dark Chocolate Scotch Ale and the Coffee Stout. Way too much chocolate in the ale but the stout was good. Probably try the Toasted Almond Scotch Ale next, just for ***** and giggles. The wife was interested in this one. I'll have to appease her this weekend.
  16. Thorson is the sleeper of this draft. Strong arm, accurate, great mechanics and footwork. Love to see him first pick, round 2.
  17. I think the best story would be Eli winning a Super Bowl for the Broncos. Probably wouldn't hear of that ever again, two brothers winning a Super Bowl for the same team.
  18. If anyone here flew a plane like they root for a football team...
  19. I would like to see red jersey/blue pants, blue jersey/red pants. Or even white jersey/red pants with the white helmets/standing red buffalo.
  20. Precisely. They need to beat the Pats because they need to beat the Pats. Playoffs are a stretch of the imagination right now. Need to worry about this game first and foremost.
  21. When Zay has an accurate QB next year, he'll be fine.
  22. I always look at teams like the Packers or the old Colts with Peyton (or hell, even the new ones with Luck). You could even go back to Marino. Teams that would've benefited GREATLY from having a real run game. You can say it's a passing league all you want, but having a well rounded team is still the only way to win consistently.
  23. I still don't understand how, in a league that is mostly black players, can someone say yea, they hold me to a higher standard as a QB because I'm black. Tyrod, you're held to a higher standard because of guys like Cam and Wilson, not because you're black, and not because they're black. It's because they share the same skill set as you but for whatever reason, you can't throw for more than 180 yards in a game.
  24. We are currently in Ogden/Gates/Greece area. As far as I can tell, looks like where they draw town/village lines has a huge affect on your taxes. Once you go beyond county tax you're in for variable amounts of financial pain.
  25. I still casually watch games that aren't the Bills, but much like March Madness in basketball, I feel like once college football gets this playoff bracket thing together and adds 4 more teams, college football will eventually overtake the NFL in popularity. I have a couple of teams I watch in the NCAA, there is a surprising amount of parity and even the smallest schools have great fan bases. Young kids are invested in their school emotionally, alumni hold on to that for life seemingly. Creates a great atmosphere. The NCAA has also been much more forward thinking in terms of catering to millenials, airing pretty much every game it can via ESPN's streaming service. Even though I no longer live in Florida, I can still watch USF and Florida every weekend. Sometimes it's on a cable channel but most of the time I am streaming those games, without paying $500 a season.
