  1. I have a 99 ES300 and while it is technically a shared platform with the Camry and Avalon, it is setup different suspension wise and they must use better foam for the weather strips or something because it is still nice and quiet after 20 years and 200k. I always have old Toyotas and that's the reason I always recommend them. They have switched to a new global platform and we've recently started getting parts that say made in China so I can't vouch for the brand new ones.
  2. Toyota. Not an impartial opinion though. Work at a Toyota dealer, have only owned Toyota's save for a couple Sentras in my youth. I will say though, the newer Colorados/Canyons have a waaayyyy nicer interior than the Tacomas. I find the newer Tacomas to be uncomfortable with a cramped cabin. We have one for a parts truck and I dred driving it. So you prefer your Toyota to your wife's Toyota.
  3. This threads will keep popping up so I'll keep responding the same way. Unless drafting Mahomes meant also getting the playmakers he has around him and Andy Reid as head coach... It's not to take anything away from Mahomes but to deny that he didn't inherit a playoff team with one of the best head coaches in the league is a little nuts. And to say Allen wouldn't be great in his own regard in a situation like that is also crazy. I would say that if Mahomes makes or breaks your fanhood of the Bills, buy his jersey, get yourself Sunday ticket and root for the Chiefs. The rest of us will keep watching the Bills, understanding that we have a raw rookie QB behind a non existent offensive line with zero playmakers and will keep hoping that this trial by fire will help Allen learn what he needs to.
  4. I think anyone that knew Allen, knew these were the types of things he has to learn and that's why he should've been treated as the starter from the moment he stepped in the building. All those shared reps with a journeyman and an interception machine have put him behind the sticks, so to speak. What is giving McCoy 20+ touches a game really going to accomplish when the line is as bad as it is? He isn't the type of back that can run between the tackles. He spends too much time in the backfield for this line to provide him the gaps he's looking for. Plus he's already banged up so I don't think that was going to be the answer versus Green Bay. What really needs to be developed in this offense is the screen game. Getting the ball out to McCoy when he's already in space. Quick hitters to guys like Foster and Ray Ray. This is going to be how this offense gets going. Allen's lack of recognition and the line's inability to maintain their blocks, it's the only solution I see at this point. The inside of our line is the weak link. If you can spread a defense out, get them out of the box and out of the middle of the field, it may start to open up some draw plays and counters. Play action passing is in effective when you can't run the football and without an effective play action, these long routes and slow developing plays will never have a chance. So if you can get a quick passing game going, give McCoy some space in the running game, THEN you can start looking downfield and over the middle. But right now, teams know the only thing you have to do is blitz the rookie and cover deep.
  5. The story doesn't address an issue that hasn't happened yet. They still win. The question was what happens when Brady isn't there and the wins aren't such a sure thing. The only person here that sounds like an idiot is you. But that's what happens when you have a low IQ and can't contribute to a discussion in any meaningful way.
  6. You have to be good to have haters. Right now he just has a bunch of people stating facts about him.
  7. If he doesn't come with Andy Reid then I'll go with Josh and Tre.
  8. It's easy to be this way when you win. It's easy to win when you have the best QB in football for almost 2 decades. Look at how successful Saban is in college. His mantra and style is almost identical to Belichick. But when he came into the pros he didn't have the clout to go with his process and it was a mess from the beginning. Do players tolerate Bill when Brady is gone and the results aren't such a sure thing anymore?
  9. Well until someone convinces KB to put his hands out in front of his body to catch the football, it's probably going to be more of the same until we get some real wide receivers.
  10. Well even in the draft he was "overpaying." 4th round QB prospect drafted 18th overall. Trading away future picks for a wide receiver in an absolutely loaded class. I feel like his big board and free agent list consisted of a total of about 10 names and he pursued those 10 names at all costs.
  11. I'd get rid of Benjamin for Gentry. Hell, I'd just get rid of Benjamin.
  12. Whaley was good at identifying talent and GREAT at paying way too !@#$ing much for it. There are a bunch of Whaley's picks still playing in the NFL. But he wasn't a team builder, he was a scout. He didn't have a plan, he kind of just threw **** at a wall every year and hoped it stuck. That's why he failed.
  13. I'm not ready to crown him. I like Allen alot, but one good game and one so so game... I'd still love to see him improve his ball security. The pick while carrying around the Chargers DE last week, a ridiculous fumble where he held the ball up in the air this week. He's a rookie so I'm cautiously optimistic that he will indeed eliminate these things from his game. His mental toughness and his resiliency give me tons of hope. He looked much more comfortable this week in the pocket, looked to be making his reads much quicker. If he can continue to do what he did today week after week the Bills have a bright future ahead of them.
  14. Kid has guts. Love it. Imagine if we started him at the Ravens. Maybe we'd have seen some of this last week against the Chargers.
  15. I dunno what was up with his conservative play calling the first few weeks but obviously McDermott taking over his play calling duties lit a fire under his ass.
  16. Screen name checks out. Put the bong down and slowly back away.
  17. As long as Edmunds and Allen show improvement week to week, I'm fine. They are the cornerstones of the rebuild.
  18. Never said you didn't. I'm just saying that your grades of Groy and Miller are generous, considering Groy probably isn't starting this week. I doubt McDermott has a B grade on him. And I've seen Miller literally laying on his back in the backfield more than once. Sufficient time for the QB and blocking well are two different things. The cut block scheme is probably a result of these guys just being weak at the point of attack.
  19. When you have RBs and TEs not pulling their weight in pass protection, it does make the line look worse. The run blocking scheme they are attempting to use is atrocious. That also makes the line look bad. And while these grades are nice and all, Miller and Groy are consistently man handled at the point of attack. Passing lanes/line of sight are a mess and they typically seem to be JUST barely blocking people. A good illustration is the first picture of Miller totally out of sorts and the third image down Groy frantically looking side to side and then just getting enough of the rusher to call it a block. OP is real generous with his grades, must be some common core sliding scale thing.
  20. As if the rest of them aren't struggling to execute their assignments...
  21. With the space we will have under the cap, you don't trade that pick. In regards to the choices, I'm good with either one if we're in the position to choose.
  22. You should worry, but only about your serious gambling addiction. 1-877-8-HOPENY 1-877-846-7369
  23. Just remember, he's here because our previous "crappy, medicore, etc" receivers were holding Tyrod back from being great. Should've paid Woods, he is more about the process than any of these clowns playing right now.
