  1. Doesn't matter, he's still a veteran of the NFL who has obviously helped Allen behind the scenes. No one can deny Allen was on a bit of a tear after coming back from injury having sat with Anderson for a few weeks and then getting further help from Barkley. Jackson offers none of that.
  2. Wait until you see him flexed out to the edge in big packages...
  3. Not as bad as the corner for Detroit who literally couldn't read. "In the two hundred nineteen NFL draft..."
  4. Lions will take Tua first overall after crashing and burning this year, firing Patricia and trading Stafford to Denver.
  5. College stats do not translate to the pro game. How many Heisman trophy winners have to bust before this is understood. Mechanics, footwork, white board work, delivery, facing adversity, consistency etc. are all more important than the stats. As Happy said before, he didn't play in a pro style system, he looks like he is laboring to throw the ball further than 40 yards, he never took over a game or dominated the competition. And that is in a very weak conference. I think the first thing you look for in a small school guy is, is he the best player on the field in a good portion of his film?
  6. I'm not trying to knock Tyree but I don't see an undrafted QB coming in and landing the backup QB spot. You really want Tyree coming in if Josh goes down? Barkley played well last year for us and earned his spot. Plus Daboll, Josh and Coach made a big deal about how much better the QB room was with Barkley and Anderson in the mix. I don't see that changing any time soon unless, like I said, Anderson retires.
  7. Compete for the backup job?? LOL He's camp fodder, might find his way to the practice squad until old man Anderson hangs it up and he becomes the 3rd string but Barkley proved last year he was worth keeping in that role.
  8. This all seems reasonable until you realize you've completely left out Williams and Knox, ignore the fact that Foster was the most productive rookie wideout in the league in the 2nd half of the season or ignore the fact that Beane flat out said you don't need a #1 wideout, you need guys that fit the scheme.
  9. He has the athleticism to play anywhere along the front 4. You could seriously see him play the edge in certain packages. His measurebles are unbelievable. He ran the short shuttle a hundredth of a second slower than Antonio Brown. The pick is very much in the vein of Josh Allen and Termaine Edmunds. Guys who are young or maybe come from smaller schools but have no ceiling when it comes to athleticism.
  10. Williams was the number 1 receiver in the CFL last year, an extremely pass heavy league. Has had a couple years to mature past his college issues. Is certainly one of those guys that can track and high point a football down the field. Once Foster came back from being cut he was the most productive rookie wide receiver in the NFL over the last 7 games and was good for at least 1 big play per game. And you mentioned Allen making him looking good but he played with Barkley as well and had 3 catches for 105 yards.
  11. Can't argue with a guy that's nearly 6' 5" 250 and runs a 4.5 40 yard dash. Under utilized at Ole Miss which isn't surprising consider Brown and Metcalf and having a subpar QB that wasn't able to read the field. While the laymen here only have his numbers and his couple of highlights from Youtube, I'm willing to bet the all 22 would should a guy who's open more often than not and his athleticism makes him a serious threat after the catch.
  12. He seemed to find Foster deep just fine. And once Foster started catching those deep balls it was exciting to watch.
  13. With Foster and McKenzie coming on late last year, Zay a work in progress but still showing more glimpses of improvement, the addition of Williams, Beasley, Kroft, Knox and Brown, I don't see how that is anything like starting Peterman last year. They've essentially reworked the entire receiving corps. Regardless of your opinion on the individual players, the moves were certainly made to add weapons for Allen.
  14. Hakeem Butler, Riley Ridley and Maxx Crosby would be my guesses... if we still had 4th round picks...
  15. Hopefully the Bills are calling Charles Johnson. Dude was a beast for my team. #TakeAim #AAFChampions
  16. Well don't make stupid claims that we're one wide receiver away from going to the big one and I won't point it out. Also, pretty much every guy you named was in the playoffs regularly... Megatron not so much. So yea...
  17. Yea I mean, look how many rings he had while in Detroit... Hockenson would be a great pick. Oliver would also be a great pick. Trading down would also be a great idea. For once, the Bills are in a good place after free agency and not scrambling to pick need because of missing out on player X, Y and Z.
  18. I'd like to see Ross (Arizona) and Johnson (Orlando) in camp this year. Two good receivers.
  19. Nah, McBeane has it right. They interviewed Bryce Love at the combine, that's the guy you want.
  20. Lived in SW Florida for almost a decade so adopted the Bucs so I could talk football with the locals that weren't Bills fans. I've also got a college team (Gators) and an AAF team (Apollos) from Florida but will watch Cuse when they're on also.
  21. Hockenson, Fant and Harry are all much better options. Leave the athletic freaks for the Raiders. Considering tight end is even weaker for the Bills than wide receiver, my vote goes to Hockenson or Fant at 9.
  22. My team (Apollos) looked great last night. Fun to see the old ball coach on the sideline again and not coaching for a rival.
  23. If you love football you come to Buffalo. You bring Buffalo to greatness (or even on the doorstep of) and you're a legend.
  24. 75% of those drop balls are caught, we're talking about Allen having 61% completion percentage and missing the playoffs by a game. Don't think Beane doesn't know this.
