I couldn't believe the Jets didn't run and throw to him more. We couldn't really stop him. Possible he was on a pitch count.

He had some good plays but he also had a handful of runs for no gain or negative yards. I don't think he was on a pitch count, I think the defense just held their own.

Glad you mentioned Milano. He was a stud and may turn into a Pro Bowl player. He's really improved. The first year he had a bunch of highlight plays but was rather pedestrian most of the time. Last year he was much better all around. Today he was a monster (sometimes it seemed that Bell was getting open but I think that was bad scheme stuff. I really like him now.

Bell really is one of the top talents at running back and they kept him under 100 yards from scrimmage. Milano played as well as you could hope in coverage. One of the surest tacklers on the team.

I think the pass heavy opening was due to how strong the Jets are up the middle.  Probably as strong of a middle of the field defense as anyone in the NFL.

Whatever the reason, if you're a good team, you play your game. Coaching staff outsmarted themselves. The balanced attack was exponentially more effective in the 2nd half.

  4. Allen actually looked good today. His picks were tipped balls, the 1 fumble was on Morse getting absolutely blown up at the snap, the ball never even made a motion towards Allen's hands. He looked more accurate, more comfortable in the pocket. Most importantly he led the team back to win. Made some big throws in between Singletary shredding the Jets on that last drive and of course the touchdown. Brown and Beasley made a huge difference in the passing game today. Definitely underrated free agent pick ups in the offseason.

I was way more concerned with the play calling. This should be a balanced offense, absolutely no reason to come out throwing 15 out of 16 plays. New England doesn't even do that and they have the GOAT at the position. We were built to run the ball. Drafted Singletary, released McCoy, you have Gore and Yeldon also in the backfield. Rebuilt the entire offensive line. Just a really strange approach to the game today. Next week hopefully makes more sense.

Did anyone else notice Ford moving to guard and Neshke entering the game as RT in the 2nd half? That will probably remain the lineup the rest of the season.

That's our only measure for comparison.

Go watch tape of Duke Williams. He looks very slow. Sure, he makes contested catches, but he is incredibly slow. And for a guy that isn't that big that's a problem.

10th of a second slower than Benjamin. Better broad jump, 1 more rep on the bench, these guys are separated by fractions athletically. Difference is Williams is hungry to succeed and Benjamin is hungry for some Popeye's.

Benjamin had a faster 40 time than Duke. That's what I'm saying. Sills is much faster than both of them, and he's two inches taller than Duke.

And when did he run that 40 time? You did watch him play in Buffalo correct? His 40 time coming out of college is completely irrelevant.

Except Duke isn't that big. He's nowhere near the size of Benjamin or even Sills. He is only 6'2" and way slower than Sills, and even slower than Benjamin.

Say what... there isn't a slower wide receiver than Benjamin. Kyle was moving faster than Benjamin after he caught that pass last year.

Anderson plays like he is retired. On par with alumni players in HS fundraising games.

Doesn't matter, he's still a veteran of the NFL who has obviously helped Allen behind the scenes. No one can deny Allen was on a bit of a tear after coming back from injury having sat with Anderson for a few weeks and then getting further help from Barkley. Jackson offers none of that.
