  1. 1) Top .01% 2) I bet you still look bad in shorts and can't throw a football 80 yards. 3) I think if you and Pittman are going to have any kind of meaningful relationship you should stop lusting after his father.
  2. Much rather have Van than Justin. Van produced with a sub par QB. He is also the best route runner in this class and a former NFL player's son who is now coaching. He doesn't rely purely on athleticism, he's a student of the game and it shows in game.
  3. Ah yes, you know we're in the thick of the offseason when a thread about two guys standing next to each other at a workout turns into a conspiracy theory and then in that same thread a man is critiquing an elite professional athlete's physique and fitness.
  4. I've watched every game the last two weeks and there is one very apparent thing. Defense is much easier to play than offense.
  5. I don't care what Daboll says, this offense needs an identity. Are we a running team? Are we a passing team? Your identity dictates your play calling. Your identity dictates what other teams must prepare for. Your identity helps to narrow the scope and improve the execution on a week to week basis. You only deviate from that identity when the other team has proven they have answers for what you can execute perfectly. That lack of identity is why his gameday play calling would often go off the rails. The offense didn't have that safety net of a small group of plays that they could typically execute under any circumstance. They didn't have that "base defense" so to speak. If that doesn't get fixed, the results will be the same next year.
  6. My dream scenario for this group is Perriman in free agency and Van Jefferson in the 2nd or 3rd, Gandy-Golden in the 6th.
  7. Hakeem Adeniji would be an interesting pick just because he provides flexibility, which is usually something that is very important with backup offensive linemen. I also feel like those stats you're using are greatly influenced by running Gore for no gain numerous times this year. Devin had the highest YPC of all running backs, definitely says something about the line. Pass protection in this offense is tough also, with very slow developing route trees and poor play calling leading to third and long quite often. That is to say, I think the line remains the same outside of a rookie in the mid to later rounds.
  8. Baffles me that no one on the board is interested in Arik Armstead.
  9. Being a Gators fan, if you think he needs to learn the game of football, you're out of your mind. He was playing the scheme given to him. My personal opinion of him is that he is a true middle linebacker if he puts on 10 pounds. He is a great downhill type of player but has the range to cover and play sideline to sideline. And unlike Edmunds, he has the body type to fill a gap, get his pads low and make the tackle. He was already making big plays in the backfield during preseason. Given that he's already had a year to learn the defense, I'd expect him to look very good in OTAs and training camp and push for at least the back up spot behind Edmunds. He only has to remain disciplined, something that is not required as much from the Gators defensive staff.
  10. That word would be great if it had the name Brain Daboll in front of it. Otherwise I don't agree with it.
  11. Daboll's play design I am mostly fine with. It's his in game play calling that is atrocious. I also fault him for not trusting his guys, because that's what "we don't have an identity" boils down to. He doesn't have faith that we can be a passing or rushing offense and execute no matter what the defense is doing on the other side of the ball. I thought we had the personnel to run the 2TE offense that he helped coach in New England with Gronk and Hernandez. I thought that was what we were aiming for. Run the football, be multiple out of that set. Instead we were putting 3 undersized guys out wide and keeping Knox or Kroft in to block. If Daboll stays I will hope that McDermott tells him to dial it back. The playbook needs to be halved. It needs to be tailored to the guys we have (and will have). And then Allen, these gifs and pictures are just an illustration of what he's been all season. So close yet so far. He was literally about 6 or 7 throws away from being the two or three seed in the playoffs. Couple missed throws in Baltimore for touchdowns, missed throws in Foxbourogh. He is not without fault in the offense's struggles. His reads need to get much quicker, he really needs to stop with the huge sacks. I understand he feels he can make any throw but he's blocking out that clock in his head. It's ok to run and slide for 5 yards. It's ok to check it down. I think our complete abandonment of any kind of screen game really causes that whole slow start thing.
  12. In a perfect world they move Edmunds to Lorax's spot and they put Joseph in the middle. I'm still not sold on Edmunds as a middle linebacker. He's tall and lanky, so he has trouble getting leverage on backs. Too many times I see him hanging off the back of the RB as he leaves the hole because Edmunds can't get his pads low enough. However, I think with his speed and the addition of 10 pounds he could be an absolute monster on the outside. He's very good in coverage (when it isn't zone) and has proven disruptive when getting after the QB.
  13. I hate everything about this post.
  14. Dump Smith and Kroft. Knox and Sweeney should be 1 and 2, fill in the gaps behind them. Frankly, the main issue with the tight end group is that our offense isn't utilizing the tight ends. Another reason Daboll should see the door in the offseason. I really thought he was going to bring that sweet 2 TE offense that New England ran with Hernandez and Gronk with him to Buffalo. We even drafted Knox and Sweeney and signed Kroft. And then we completely abandoned that and put a third WR on the field 80% of the time. Knox I think is one of the most underutilized players on this entire team. He can split out, he can block, hell, he could play H-Back. He loves to hit people, he's a big athletic target. I think a full NFL offseason will do wonders for him and even better if we get a real OC.
  15. I don't think you touch the QB room at all. Barkley is fine as a backup when he plays with the starters. I mean, he damn near won that first game against New England, everyone seems to forget about that. If Josh looks similar or worse than he did this year, then we can discuss this topic at length I'm sure.
  16. Yep would cost very little and would add some flexibility and physicality to the offense. I guess the deciding factor would be his special teams play.
  17. AJ Dillon would be my draft choice. 1,600 yards and 5.3 YPC at 6 foot and 245? Sign me up. I think the need for a veteran presence is a little overstated, it was nice to have Gore I guess, but I think McDermott really needs to address that kind of thing in his coaching staff to maximize talent on the roster for gameday. Can't keep giving up roster spots to keep a veteran. Let Singletary become the leader in that room.
  18. And it didn't come out until Dec of 91. Tecmo Bowl didn't have the Bills.
  19. How many times has he called that QB sweep play and how many times has it worked? His scheme and player development might be good but his play calling is atrocious more often than not.
  20. Aaron Donald 76% of snaps, Phillips 57% snaps. Of course you left that out though lol
  21. Jordan Phillips is clearly the other guy on the Bills defense that deserves consideration. He has made some absolutely game changing plays this year and his stats are very similar to Aaron Donald's while playing nearly 25% less snaps.
  22. PFF loves to cherry pick stats. They are essentially message board trolls that charge to read their terrible takes.
