There was some overlap...but Young was already in the middle of his career when Favre was a rookie.
Yes. That was my point.

Weren't they contemporaries??
Young was drafted in 84, Favre in 92. Young retired in 99 and Favre in 2010. So... no. Not really.

I keep seeing Favre comparisons so maybe a lot of you are too young to have seen Steve Young play. Because that's who Josh reminds me of more than anyone.

We didn’t struggle putting pressure in week 1 and 2. We applied good pressure in the first quarter today, then they ruled the day with the run and play action off the run.
he didn’t get that much pressure on the QB. When he applied pressure, he got sacks. 9.5. Don’t get me wrong, 9.5 sacks for a DT is impressive, but it’s not representative of his play each and every game.
he wasn’t very good vs the run and our run d was a problem today. Missing him has nothing to do with our regression on D after 3 games
So between Phillips, Star and Lawson all being gone from last year's D Line, you don't see an issue with the defense and none of those players missing, especially the guy who could get to the QB and blow up some of that play action. Well ok then lol.

And yet we suck somehow in the 2nd half the past 3 games

Score too much, young team loses focus.

Phillips was terrible against the run.
Not saying the Bills don’t need to do something, but Phillips didn’t fix the problem last year.He put pressure on the QB, something we are also struggling with.

lol right now I’d keep Milano over edmunds . He’s by far the better player
Edmunds has a lot of work to do
No way I'd get rid of Milano. Put him out there with Dodson where he only has to play his responsibilities and not Edmunds' also.
-
I'm fine with this because from my point of view, Oliver is trending towards bust. You see what Donald did today? That's what Oliver is allegedly capable of. Where is it?

Edmunds needs to put on 20 lbs and play DE. His body type makes it impossible for him to get his pads lower than a 5' 9" running back. He's excellent in coverage and with his speed he showed he's a tremendous threat from the outside anytime they put him there in a blitz package. Being young just isn't an argument anymore. This is his 3rd season and his gap integrity and tackling has not improved. I'd much rather have Dodson in the middle. Start moving Edmunds around the field.

No Star. No Jordan Phillips. No light coming on for Oliver or Edmunds. No Norman. Even when they were blitzing they weren't getting home and that is a bad sign. And the run defense is just non-existent. Not good when playing a team like the Titans in couple weeks.

This is going to be a squishing of the fish that we have not witnessed in some time.

Wings in the air fryer with some Anchor Bar sauce and Wegmans frozen pizzas. I can at least lure my non-loving football family into the room for a few minutes while the game is on. 😆

Looks like the process was on break when they drafted this kid.

Then why not Berlin, LA, SF? Rome was not as affected.
Well until we are fully into testing everyone for antibodies we actually don't know who was affected the worst. What we're seeing in NYC and other places could even be the so called 2nd wave of this disease. If it had originated literally anywhere else I'd put a lot more stock into our current numbers but because it originated in China I am thinking we are 4-8 months behind this disease.

Considering we don’t know the real numbers out of China... I hesitate to accept that Europe has a “deadlier” strain.
I also wouldn’t be shocked if there was a great disparity in quality of care among different regions. In NYC, people don’t seem to care as much about each other. Probably true of many densely populated areas.
You've got think that if this virus occurred naturally and began to spread, it must've been a couple months of severe illnesses before someone was even brave enough to look into it in China, let alone warn the outside world. I think the big mistake is people looking at this situation as if we discovered this strain of coronavirus the moment it transferred from one human to the next.

If you know nothing about infectious disease and look only at the numbers, here's the pattern to explore - Top 5 countries for mortality - Italy, Spain, France, UK and USA.
My thinking is the antibody research is going to show that this virus originated in the fall of 2019 at the latest, most likely earlier than that. So you figure you have a minimum of 3 months of unrestricted travel all across the globe. Rome, Paris, London, NYC and Madrid. Not only major global destinations but also hubs for international travel.

I mean, Van wasn't overly productive. Phenomenal technician/route runner, that goes without say. However, hell also be 24 before he ever plays an NFL game and is nothing special athletically, like at all.
Van would absolutely be a great complementary type WR pick if we double dip, but if you are taking Van over Justin... not a good look.
He made Phillipe Franks look like he might be a viable QB1. Enough said.

1) Allen reached the top 1% of football players
2) I bet I have a lower body fat %
3) I like Pittman a lot and his dad is in better shape than Allen
1) Top .01%
2) I bet you still look bad in shorts and can't throw a football 80 yards.
3) I think if you and Pittman are going to have any kind of meaningful relationship you should stop lusting after his father.

Much rather have Van than Justin. Van produced with a sub par QB. He is also the best route runner in this class and a former NFL player's son who is now coaching. He doesn't rely purely on athleticism, he's a student of the game and it shows in game.

Ah yes, you know we're in the thick of the offseason when a thread about two guys standing next to each other at a workout turns into a conspiracy theory and then in that same thread a man is critiquing an elite professional athlete's physique and fitness.

I've watched every game the last two weeks and there is one very apparent thing. Defense is much easier to play than offense.
-
I don't care what Daboll says, this offense needs an identity. Are we a running team? Are we a passing team? Your identity dictates your play calling. Your identity dictates what other teams must prepare for. Your identity helps to narrow the scope and improve the execution on a week to week basis. You only deviate from that identity when the other team has proven they have answers for what you can execute perfectly.
That lack of identity is why his gameday play calling would often go off the rails. The offense didn't have that safety net of a small group of plays that they could typically execute under any circumstance. They didn't have that "base defense" so to speak. If that doesn't get fixed, the results will be the same next year.

Fan allowance at Bills Stadium to be revisited - Cuomo will visit and meet with Bills brass

I think 25% of the stadium is more than realistic. Every other seat and skip every other row. Open air and more than 6 feet apart you don't even need a mask. At least, that's what they used to say.
