only two points I disagree with : With the advent of headset radios, plays can be called in from the sideline (except in NE), keeping the quarterback from having to make the calls along with everything he has to do.the radio into the qbs helmet will still require communication to other players on field. Not all players have radios so tyrod would have to signal to others and that would cause other issues. We can quickly sub in the 40 yards between the 30 yard marks, especially at the wideout position. This may prompt the opposition to try, which will either pull them out of position or draw a too many men foul.Chip Kelly had to wait for NFL refs to prep ball. also if you change out guys officials should wait for defense to reset personnel based on rules.

Tim Graham:Whaley wasted everyone's time.
Orlando Buffalo replied to JM2009's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am not surprised he failed out based on the situation. When drafted he was suppose to sit a year behind a competent qb(Kolb) and develop how to be a pro-not a college qb. he was thrown into the wolves and told do not lose the game which is an awful way to learn. Marrone then benched him for Orton who is not a good teammate by all accounts I read. He then tries to relearn how to be a qb in year three. He is not good right now but I wish him the best and hope that Oakland can make him good since he seems like a decent man. All that being said DW knows the NFL is QB driven and he never hit there. he improved about every other position but not the most important. -
CK comes along with a bunch of headaches that you do not take on for the backup. Tim Tebow was ran out of football for the same reason-talent level is not equal to headache. If you are going to bring that kind of outside pressure you had best be top 15 in your position. CK will be signed when he accepts minimum money at least initially since no team will bring him in when they might have to jettison after one year.

I live about 2 miles from WP. there is nothing good within 2 miles but Hagans Orielly is good and Crooked Can is about 6 miles straight north in Downtown Winter Garden. If you go to WG there are several nice good restaurants there depending on what you are looking for.

Just because I am blown away by that place being a million I will add my two cents about how absurd the taxes are. My house is about $300,000 in Windermere, FL (which is nice) and I pay right about $2000 a year in taxes with great schools and access to about anything I want. I pay the state and local governments literally $10K less per year based on income and taxes.

Sammy should not respond because anyone who calls him soft or anything else is a moron. To play a single game in the NFL you best be ready to fight through pain. Sammy responding will solve nothing.

Final TD hold against Hughes
Orlando Buffalo replied to The Big Cat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Honestly I can handle this missed call much more than all the made calls which suck. A missed call is being human and unable to see everything, to call one that is not there- such as Robey- is arrogance. Basically these officials think they have a duty/right to call what might have happened, not what they saw which is why the NFL has become almost unwatchable for me. -
In defense of EJ (yeah, I said it!)
Orlando Buffalo replied to BmarvB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My fear with EJ is he will pull a drew brees/Rich Gannon on us. Brees was benched for a 40+ year old Flutie and ran out of San Diego got offered one starting postion with a good coach on a crap team in NO and now has a ring. EJ has a ton of talent but looks lost too often and was clearly the worst Bill today but I always have hope for guys who work hard. -
If Cassel plays decently, is that it for Whaley?
Orlando Buffalo replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Doug Whaley has missed on exactly one real good QB that he could have had(Russell Wilson) that completely changed his mechanics from college to the pros. Besides that he has improved every unit we have, some of them by a large margin. All that being said the Bills need to step up and start showing the world that the talent will translate into wins or Whaley might be gone at the end of the year. -
Phantom call on Robey =Royally Screwed in England
Orlando Buffalo replied to Bocephuz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The argument about the officials not being important to this game is absurd. without that call the Bills probably win. NFL teams all the time wins games they no right to win. The Bills of early 90's won amny games where we were outplayed for long stretches. Last Years Super Bowl was lost by the better team for most of the game. EJ played like crap but the rest of our team almost pulled it out. -
This is simply reaction from my family who is large and insane: overrated: harvin- he is at best our three not a savior underated: EJ and McKelvin-EJ was a project from the get go and has looked good in this preseason and Mckelvin is great in the proper defense but has obvious limitations. Having a coach who tried to cover them up with AW helped a lot. My family thinks EJ and McKelvin should be sent to the scrap heap and forgotten along with Trentative, Mike Williams, and the LB from Penn State who i am blanking on now.

Brady 4 game suspension upheld; Will go to court
Orlando Buffalo replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Mr. Weo I will type it in simpler words for you. The judge can ask any questions he wants and can push the two sides in any direction he finds useful but at the end of the trial he is severely limited in what he can truly rule on. The NFL is a private organization disciplining one of its employees for actions it found inapporiate. So the judge can rule this punishment is outside the realm of what is appropriate based on governmental laws but not much else. The points Brady is scoring against the NFL for being heavy handed is making the NFL look bad but have little relevance without it being tied to something grander. This is not a criminal case and therefore does not have same standards. -
Roman works with whatever talent he has- he in a three year period at Stanford went from a top 5 rushing attack with Toby Gerhardt to a top 5 passing team with Luck. If he wants Cassell I would state he clearly thinks Cassell will get the ball best to the others offensive weaponsand allow them to do their thing.

Brady 4 game suspension upheld; Will go to court
Orlando Buffalo replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I keep reading people on this board who claim to be law experts or claim to have real understanding of the legal system. This case is simple: The evidence available makes it more likely than not the Brady was aware of the rules being broken, That is the only standard that matters. The judge is blasting the NFL for two reasons: to make them settle and also to embarass them for making the puishment equal for Tommy boy and Greg Hardy. The only way the judge can overturn it is to rule that brady has shown that he most likely innocent(which would be absurd) or that the League does not the legal power to rule as it did(this is plausible but still not likely). All other issues are distractions. -

My personal caveat- I have hated Tommy Boy since Spygate-I was fooled for 6 years about his "amazing story". But to every person that is arguing for Tommy you are either a very casual fan of football or somehow invested in Tommy boy being cleared. I have discussed with dozens of high school football coaches and several college football coaches and asked each if they thought the preponderence of evidence was that Tommy Boy cheated. All said he absolutely cheated and any QB of theirs is well aware of what the football feels like at all times. . So you have the argument from men who have been working in football for a combined 100+ years or you have argument of NFLPA/Brady's lawyers. Now if you want to argue that Brady has too harsh of a punishment that is fine-and probably accurate- but please cut the mularkey of his innocence since this is not a criminal trial. -
It is not cheap but if you are Marriott member, as I am, the Eden Roc is a Marriott on Collins Ave on Miami Beach and is ridiculously nice. It has a nice restaurant inside it and has beautiful pools and beaches. I would recommend Miami Beach over south Beach since South Beach can be loud late into night and Miami Beach gets quiet around 8 or night each night.
