What jerseys do you own?
Orlando Buffalo replied to Seanbillsfan2206's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have only bought ones of former players but between me and my kids Fitzpatrick Edwards McGahee Spikes Fred Jackson Owens Moulds Poluzny and my favorite-Kelly- which is too small since I have put on some weight since I was 22 -
I am sorry but I must disagree- you skip over a large portion of his story which paints a different picture. He was a loser in high school(look it up if you think I am wrong) and a backup to a baseball player in college. His early success was the result of cheating too a very high degree. He finally stopped cheating when caught and then had 6-7 years with much less post season success than during his cheating days. Finally he started cheating again and started winning again in postseason. This rant is nothing to do with dominance against Bills(many team have dominated my favorite teams) The officials help I do not blame him for because I do believe the NFL officials and so full of themselves that they are simply confirming there bias during games. NFL has lost about 20% of the fans over the past 3 years and Brady being considered the GOAT is a big reason; most real sport fans do not respect cheaters. Finally I find it odd that Barry Bonds is not going to the hall of fame for cheating when he was great before ever cheating and cheating helped in one manner(homeruns). Brady first non cheating game was in 2008 and he did not win a SB for quite a while after that.

I am actually wondering if you are a patriot fan-you repeatedly speak as if they do not have history of cheating and getting absurd calls to help them. I do not mind someone having a differing opinion but to ignore the fact that so much shenanigans happens with pats is absurd. I disagree with both posts stating call was "obvious" whatever call on field was would stand in my book. I think it was fumble but if called down I would not state it was clearly a fumble but I hate pats so close calls I always go against them.

At the end of the Jags/Pats game lets hope.......
Orlando Buffalo replied to chef4131's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
One for the ages? I missed the first about 10 minutes of game but it was overall it was a lower than average game as far as entertainment and it played out exactly as predicted by so many-several key penalties on jags and nothing to see here on Pats. It is the last game I will watch this year-it feels too much like WWE to me. -
Expiring Contracts... Who stays and who goes?
Orlando Buffalo replied to JPL7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would definitely dump tolbert and like to keep Gaines and Williams for the right price-the rest of them are interchangable for me. -
I will second this-it is not Maybins fault that the City spends it money in a terrible manner. I am a teacher in a Florida county that is more successful than 95% of NYS districts but spends much less per student. My county wastes a ton of money on absurd things but relatively speaking we are much more efficient than any district up north so I generally keep my mouth shut.

I have though much too long about what is Keys to this Game. I think there two things will decide everything: -Is Dareus motivated against us? he when motivated is as beast but was too hit or miss, does Jax get 60 minutes out of him? -Can we confuse Bortles? he has several great games late in season but I think we can turn him back into a turnover machine. I think that Jax is overall a better team but much more up and down so I think we have a good chance but If Dareus is great and Bortles is good I think we lose.

I live in Orlando and I personally know literally dozens of people who are planning to head up. I would be surprised if the stadium is not at least half Bills fans. I assume you are a honest in your reaction based on past games but you are not understanding that the Bills fanbase is insanely loyal and look for any reason to show it.

Do NY State Income Taxes Hurt the Bills?
Orlando Buffalo replied to Irv's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
To argue that the New York income tax is not a disadvantage to Buffalo in at least a small way is being naive. There are a lot of cities that basically pay an additional 5% more than Buffalo. Tiger Woods left Cali for Florida mainly due to tax rates. Lastly NY taxes your income if you are a resident for more than 180 days. Unless there a special exemption for athletes Richie incognito pays the 8% on his whole income to the state of NY and an additional amount to Mass. for his game there and all of the other states that tax athletes this way. I have personally had to deal with the 180 rule and know several people who deal with same thing. -
Everyone who thinks that CK is not employed ONLY because if his politics is being intentionally ignorant. He could be a much worse person but if he was one of the 15 best qbs on the planet he would signed. He is not in the top 25 qbs-he is probably between 25 and 40- but you do not bring in a headache to be backup. Also I have read in multiple places that he was asking for 12+ million a year which he is not getting. Michael Vick was hated by PETA and most animal lovers but Philly thought he could be top 5 QB and signed him in an instant. The NFL owners do not bring in headaches for backups-whether it be Tebow, CK, Manziel.

does anyone know if you get the college kid program does the "local programming" stem from the college location or the location of stream? My cousin who is UB student is in Disney program here in Orlando and he will order if we can watch. I though do not want to order and then find out it is blacked out due to his being UB student.

Stop with "Schedule is Hard"--Analytics says it BS
Orlando Buffalo replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This thread cracks me up in many ways. I teach math to high school students and many of the students who do not understand the math in word problems say the math is wrong. While the data set is limited in what it means it is accurate and it a mathematical fact that using the previous year record to determine strength of schedule does not produce usable results. -
BILLS/OILERS WILDCARD GAME
Orlando Buffalo replied to Marv's Neighbor's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I became a lifetime Bills fan that day. My dad got tickets for me and my two brothers since it was blacked out. We sat in upper deck about 20 yard line and a few rows up. We might have considered leaving after Bubba McDowell had his pick 6 except we saw everyone flooding out and any thought of beating traffic was destroyed. I have been to literally hundreds of sporting events live and this is the only one I can remember is so much detail many years later. I will watch it again but it does not have the same feel as being there. -
Public Financing of Stadiums
Orlando Buffalo replied to IronyAbounds's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Public funding is coming. The last deal with the state had legalized bribes built in. http://www.investigativepost.org/2013/03/22/taxpayers-foot-buffalo-bills-luxury-box-seats-for-politicians/ My real hope is Buffalo and State just give him land and allow Pegula to do his thing but since politicians want there slice of pie I doubt it. Here in Orlando we just built a new soccer stadium whose price tag dropped about 25% the day the state backed out of financing it. The owner still built it and it is likely better than one that would have cost more with state involvement. -

I disagree on this being such a big deal. I would be much more interested in what percent of guys are still in league. If we decide not to make a CB the highest paid ever does that make him a bad pick? we received good value for Gilmore. Now Mike Williams(the OT) was a terrible pick we received no value. Robert Woods is gone but I think for what he cost we did well. I think this is kind of info is much more important.

only two points I disagree with : With the advent of headset radios, plays can be called in from the sideline (except in NE), keeping the quarterback from having to make the calls along with everything he has to do.the radio into the qbs helmet will still require communication to other players on field. Not all players have radios so tyrod would have to signal to others and that would cause other issues. We can quickly sub in the 40 yards between the 30 yard marks, especially at the wideout position. This may prompt the opposition to try, which will either pull them out of position or draw a too many men foul.Chip Kelly had to wait for NFL refs to prep ball. also if you change out guys officials should wait for defense to reset personnel based on rules.

Tim Graham:Whaley wasted everyone's time.
Orlando Buffalo replied to JM2009's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am not surprised he failed out based on the situation. When drafted he was suppose to sit a year behind a competent qb(Kolb) and develop how to be a pro-not a college qb. he was thrown into the wolves and told do not lose the game which is an awful way to learn. Marrone then benched him for Orton who is not a good teammate by all accounts I read. He then tries to relearn how to be a qb in year three. He is not good right now but I wish him the best and hope that Oakland can make him good since he seems like a decent man. All that being said DW knows the NFL is QB driven and he never hit there. he improved about every other position but not the most important. -
CK comes along with a bunch of headaches that you do not take on for the backup. Tim Tebow was ran out of football for the same reason-talent level is not equal to headache. If you are going to bring that kind of outside pressure you had best be top 15 in your position. CK will be signed when he accepts minimum money at least initially since no team will bring him in when they might have to jettison after one year.

I live about 2 miles from WP. there is nothing good within 2 miles but Hagans Orielly is good and Crooked Can is about 6 miles straight north in Downtown Winter Garden. If you go to WG there are several nice good restaurants there depending on what you are looking for.

Just because I am blown away by that place being a million I will add my two cents about how absurd the taxes are. My house is about $300,000 in Windermere, FL (which is nice) and I pay right about $2000 a year in taxes with great schools and access to about anything I want. I pay the state and local governments literally $10K less per year based on income and taxes.
