    Not even including guys who get cut with big salaries the idea of paying a practice squad guy more than an actual guy who steps on the field seems dumb. Even a punter is more valuable than the best PS guy.

    Only the top 51 guys count against the cap so unless your practice squad guys is making more than active they do not count but they technically could.

    What is the deal with being reasonable? you make solid points and I simply say give him a year to improve since we saw what usually exists in third string world last year. If he sucks cut him next year but unless he is stupid give him a year to have good coaching.

    I do not understand why everyone is against Tyree- find out if he can get better with good coaching. The other 3rd stringers have less physical talent- we might be able to coach him up to be a good backup. In practice squad guys I prefer talent to decision making.

    I do not know how you pick a guy with effort issues who does not have amazing numbers at the combine before the 6th round. In this case they had 2 issues to work on and wasted that pick.

    Looking at overall day for Texans- they lost two 1st and a second along with a potentially great lb for two mediocre lbs, WR, a 3rd and one potentially great OT. They must think this year is a great chance.

    If you live inland-I live in Orlando- please do not do anything stupid. I use to work in insurance and often the worse damage and injury came from stupidity then from unavoidable things. These storms are mainly a headache but remember they can be deadly if you are not careful.

    I hope he is on practice squad. His physical tools are very impressive and by the time you have to discuss your 3rd stringer I greatly prefer tools to consistency. I think Peterman is consistent and I know I never want him again. Jackson I doubt will ever be even a low end starter but as the guy coming in to get the win when your real qb is hurt I think we could do worse.

    His biggest issue on the field was a change in interpretation of the rule about running QBs. When he was effective the defensive players were afraid to hit him unless they knew he had the ball- the one off-season the NFL said if he was running misdirection and might have ball he was free game to be hit he went down hill quick.

    I do not play anymore because I do not have anymore time each week than to watch games but it is a great way to know more about the League versus one team.

    Gugny I do not doubt your fandom so I want to ask a related question- would you prefer to watch the Bills on TV or another team in person? I would rather watch Bills on TV so my answer is easy.

    My unpopular opinion is easy- Pegula screwed over both Rex and DW by pairing them up. Picking a coach who loves LBs and pairing him with a GM who spends all his money on DL was idiotic. You need a coach and GM who have the same overall philosophy. It is like pairing an Italian chef with Asian chef and being unhappy the result.

    I at this point hope they keep 7 recievers and only 3 tight ends if Williams is a good blocker( I simply have no idea if he can block) Williams is a physical freak and can be used many ways.

    I see your point and agree but I doubt he is better than who we have right now at safety. I expect better lineman to be released and expect him to sign them.

    Comparing Mario to Bruce is unfair- Bruce is all time great- Mario was impressive for 3 years and deserves recognition- unfortunately his contract was 6

    The commonality is the motivation- I am going from college days but he disappeared in games when he seemed not interested. 100 million needs to be big impact all the time.

    I was looking at spotrac for his "probable" contract and it is 100 million for 6 years. I want no part of that for him.

    I saw him in college more often than most and he had a lot of great plays but he also was not consistent or reliable. He would dominate a drive and then disappear till the other team got to the 10 and show back up. He is not high motor in my opinion

    I would not trade a 1st when we have to pay him so much. We need to get talent cheap somewhere and the draft is best way.
