I live in Florida and wish we had not reopened the bars, and recognize that as a mistake but your defense of a completely inept response is mindboggling. Your state has 32,000 deaths to Florida's 6000. It is not hind sight to say putting sick people in with the most vulnerable is a terrible idea and it was known in early march, because of Italy, that being older made you more vulnerable. I will not argue past this because you and I value different numbers, I think deaths is the most important by a wide margin, you clearly think a case with minor symptoms is equal otherwise you would not mention NY as doing well.

I used to think being a Nazi was worse than being a Communist but then I spoke with some old men while visiting Latvia a couple of years ago. The Nazis did not rule your life like Communists did. In Latvia they recognize that Communist would murder you for any version of disageement, the Nazis allowed much more flexibility, just don't get in the way. Both are evil, the degree is only question.

If you were trying to defend Communists you failed- if you are simply proving the point Communists suck, you are correct.

To state NY did it smart tells me something-you live in NY and don't understand why people keep moving. NY handled it terribly and while other states are not perfect the example of what not to do it NY and NJ.

Actually this kind of quote is pertinent today because so many people are proud of their ignorance and remain that way to help their arguments. as a teacher these tools make my job so much harder in convincing parents my main goal is to help their kids, not get paid. If a parent believes I want to help their kids they help me but if they think I am there for the money they fight me.

After much too much thought about this trade I think the Jets did extremely well. They traded a player who was going to cause problems in the locker room most likely and got a strong haul in return. I also think the Jets GM might be ok with this being a lost year and this makes them better in a few years.

Perhaps do any research on the relationship between unemployment and domestic abuse and suicides. Even if it is not "common knowledge" it is not political to acknowledge that fact. It amazes me you think understanding correlations is right wing.

The entire basis of being a liberal currently is entirely emotional without having any basis in logic. Most of the issues liberals deal in can not be empirically examined without being accused of racism or some other bigotry. The answer is known by liberals and they eliminate facts that disagree. One example is a liberal is arguing with me that cases of Covid is a bigger deal than deaths. Anyone who understands science and math knows deaths is the most important measuring stick, unless you decision is made before applying any thought

You do understand that at some point the majority of our country will likely get Covid and our goal needs to be to minimize deaths and major hospitalizations, right? Even if the vaccine is fast tracked and is available in two years time most people will have caught it by then unless you keep things locked down till a vaccine which is a good way to ensure domestic abuse and suicides increases far outpace the Covid deaths.

I tried to make sure I was not bashing him because I have seen someone close to me do the same. It is not easy in the short term, in fact it might be horrible in the short term, but this pattern is dangerous. I truly hope it gets worked out in a healthy way for him.

Too many people will stay with someone because "it is best for the kids" and truly mean it. One side is good until they have the kid and then let the crazy loose. I will tell you teaching these kids I can often tell the children of these parents because kids emulate their parents and I assure you that in the long run it is better to end it quickly then let it drag on for years. I really like Milano and know our defense is better with him on field but I think he has to be odd man out on money. We can't pay everybody 12 million a year and they need to look to pay Josh 30 at least. I also think his best attribute is flat speed and we can replace that easier than the other physical gifts of Tre and Edmunds.
