  1. I am actually curious why so many people are so gung ho to send troops to Ukraine when I don't remember many asking for it before Trump became president? If you have been consistent for the past 3 years I simply missed it but the commitment to the cause seems to have shifted with Trump in office.
  2. Reading this thread, if representative of any real portion of the US, is scary as hell to me. That people want Americas young to go fight in a foreign land, for a corrupt country where they have stopped all elections, literally a country that was paying the former presidents son to be on a board that he had no idea how to help, simply because of TDS. For many of you I recommend looking into other countries they represent you much better. In 2010 I looked into other countries and recognized quickly that no one is more conservative than America, and that is why we are great.
  3. If we can get him cheaply I would be for it but the only big splash cash free agent I want is DL. We put up 30+ points a game last year
  4. Diggs is clearly not as good as he was in 2020 and 2021, regardless of how much I appreciate what he did for the Bills. He played in 21 straight games without any 100 yard games and he was not the best receiver on our team at end of 2023 or on Houston. He was top 5 in league on 2021
  5. He is not a good solution to us in many ways, but we don't need to spend that kinda money on a WR
  6. Thank goodness you are hear to tell me what I wrote throughout the thread several times. NWS has a definite job it must do, it does not need 12000 employees.
  7. Yes I just made up a number, it was the point to show how dumb you are. The range as a percent is the number we should be looking at. The fact that y'all discuss me is hilarious, but I am not interested in dating you, I am happily married.
  8. Wait you are actually trying to argue that since I can't pick an exact number, like 528, that I don't know what I am talking about? You truly are an incompetent person dream. If a private company can do the same thing that the federal department is doing with 10-25% of the people you have too many people.
  9. Actually NOAA has done very well by government standards in implementing technology. The problem I assume is they have not trimmed the workforce by the proper amount for the less work.
  10. You are a government employees dream- admitting you are smart enough to know that it doesn't take 1000s to collected automated data. But the information I have, that is readily available to anyone who can Google, is I know how much money and man power the largest insurance companies spend on it. Their concern about weather is equal to the governments concern because their jobs rely on being accurate, vs the government who just opens a new position when the other guy sucks at his job.
  11. Verizon signed the contract 2 years ago and still has transferred over 0 communications functions and does not have a solid timeline when it will happen. Starlink has been shown to work with the airports it was put into this week, why does the Verizon contract not bother you more?
  12. The Tesla stuff is so much fun from a liberal because Musk is the one guy who actually used the subsidize the way it was meant to be used, to start the company so it can someday be fully independent. There is also the fact that Tesla did not get a contract but took the incentives idiot liberals laid out and made it work, it would appear you don't like it when people make good use of taxpayer funds.
  13. I figured sarcasm but last person actually was hoping their political rivals died so I figure I would be safe. I will argue that data collection instruments do not take thousands to maintain if done properly. The automation of it makes it so you only need to check things when they break, which should not be that often.
  14. I am choosing to look at this as good news for the Bills- players who want out and have expensive contracts get less draft value therefore Maxx or Myles can be had for like a 2nd. Honestly I did not want him with his current contract so I see why he did not get much.
  15. The last time I assumed someone on this site was being sarcastic I was wrong, so I am unsure how to to reply. The job is to collect data, at this point it is not done by hand it is done by automatic computer data being sent to a main "warehouse". How do you think they do the data collection?
  16. Does anyone in California ever learn anymore? I bet she wins in a landslide.
  17. In about 2010 the NWS or NOAA was warning that by 2025 that snow would be rare in the Continental USA, while in actual 2025 my son in Tallahassee FL was snowed in for week this year.
  18. . NOAA has 15 boats, with no more than 36 people per boat. That is about 500 people, but good job showing me you have no idea what are are speaking about. BTW I do not think NOAA or NWS should disappear just be made smaller. https://www.omao.noaa.gov/marine-operations/ships-noaa#:~:text=NOAA
  19. Got it, so your answer is they do a good job of data collection, which I agree with, but that does not require anymore than 1000 employees at most. After they collect data, what does the rest of the people do that insurance companies don't do?
  20. Are you asking me or admitting you have no idea? Please inform me what they do that is useful that insurance companies don't do with teams of less than 200 each?
  21. I didn't mention Trump, you did. I didn't mention liberals, you did. You also did not negate any of point, unless you think it takes 8000 people to run a computer simulation. My point is about efficiency and usefulness, and your analogy is proof you are disingenuous because you can't make that analogy and not approve of DOGE.
  22. This thread is the dividing line of people who believe that government jobs are meant to be forever and those who believe it must provide a service to the tax payers. No reasonable person can argue that we need 12000 people to tell the weather and make the simple predictions they do, especially when most of work is now down by computer models. We also have at least 5 private weather services that do similar jobs with a fraction of the people.
  23. I think you are saying that the US should send troops to the Ukraine and defend them as if it is the US?
  24. Homelander is a bot- feed a question into AI and you get back almost word for word what he says
  25. if no peace is reached Ukraine will continue be destroyed, Ukrainian men will die, and unless the US sends ground troops it will still end up as a Russian win.
