There are several basic premises of this thread is that are hilariously ignorant: 1) good businesses do not make mistakes, as can be proven by the Edsall, the Apple Newton, and Kodak dominating the camera digital camera industry 2) that the people in media feel that their first job is to be honest and factual, not to tell a story 3) that getting clicks on a story is not more important than facts 4) that 90% of the MSM is not extremely liberal and therefore no one is there to check their bias.

I have thought too much about why I was not bothered by that game and have several reasons: 1) we rarely play well on the west coast 2) Cardinals were the much more desperate team 3) the Cardinals are a really good team 4) we did not play well for long periods of time 5) Josh still made the plays to win it in the final minutes 6) most importantly, Hopkins made the kind of play that happens a few times a year that is more luck than anything. For all these reasons I do not believe this game will cost us the division.

The Great AFC Logjam

You and me are not far off of each other, I think we are clearly better than NE and SF is so beat up we win there also. If SF had Kittle and whole team it would be different. -
Basically we want to root for Raiders and Colts to win their divisions because we have tie breaker on Raiders and Colts because we could have the tiebreaker over them depending on rest of season. Right now a ton of moving pieces but we know a few teams we have tiebreaker on and a few we dont- Chiefs and Titans.

The Great AFC Logjam
Orlando Buffalo replied to SageAgainstTheMachine's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As you have pointed at we are 7-3 having already played the toughest part of our schedule. It is almost like the reverse of last year when I told my wife I expect 7-3 to become 10-6. I expect 7-3 to be 12-4. -
Jerry Hughes Do U Bring Him Back or Let Him Walk ?
Orlando Buffalo replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
With him cost is the bigger issue than play, he is at the age where he will not be able to be relied on to be good every play. I don't know what he is worth but he still makes plays. -
They stopped because the returner was there, they were unaware of where was the ball was, also if he can drop at an exact point then they would aim for the around the 5 not the 10 or 12. Also my comment about Moorman is more along the lines of who remembers great punts 10 years later?
-
I am not sure if you understand the term out kicking your coverage- if they stop at the 12 but could have been at the 3 then he did not out kick it but the coverage guys stopped early. Out kicking your coverage means a punt where the return man has an opportunity to return it without pressure. As for Moorman I don't remember any of his punts, good or bad, because I don't want to return to days of our punter being our MVP.
-
If it continues we can cut him but it was one bad punt on the year. Also several people have blamed him putting in the end zone but our punt coverage people are not getting down there to down it, he had at least one land at the 5 and then bounce in.

How can anyone not be optimistic? Our first two losses were to really good teams with more rest than us and this loss was to a really good team that needed a hail mary to beat us, while we had our 4 and 5 string CB on the field most of the day. We have 6 weeks to work out the kinks but in the Playoffs we have a good chance against everyone
-
I expect us to be 11-4 going into last week and dolphins will be 10-5, therefore due to tiebreakers unless that loss is to the Pat's we will have locked up division.

Bad coaching bringing this team down
Orlando Buffalo replied to Cal's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with this and it is why I am disappointed that we did not send an extra body to keep Kyler in the pocket. He needs guys to get downfield at the end of the game there and we allowed him time. -
Belief in the Team vs Help from a Trade
Orlando Buffalo replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Our Defense is built to run from a base nickel, and when Edmunds and Milano are healthy and we are running 3 CBs I think we are good. As for our DL I understand that we don't have any DT who can take up 2 men just because of size but I don't see many teams that are good against both. But is there anyone who you think is a complete team in NFL? Outside of KC I see big holes. -
Belief in the Team vs Help from a Trade

I truly think if we are healthy we are as complete a team as there is in NFL. I also think that Josh will decide how far we go, not anyone else we could have brought in. -
Is Tua hype the new Darnold hype?
Orlando Buffalo replied to whatdrought's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Tua hype is definitely absurd, he had one good game against Arizona and did not screw up a game that LA handed to them. Tua might be good, or even great, but he is not special yet -
Gary Gramling (si.com) Josh Allen Quote
Orlando Buffalo replied to BillsIsrael's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I actually read the article to bash the writer but it was an overall fair assessment and mainly complimentary. Josh is truly the descendent of Favre. -
What would it take for you to trade Josh?
Orlando Buffalo replied to elijah's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Josh said I want out I would consider Burrows as a straight swap, or with Jets for their next 3 first and Q Williams as a minimum. I figure that is Trevor, Williams and two extra firsts which hopefully comes close to Josh.
