I seriously just lol at this. I appreciate you proving the accuracy of my initial point. -

I do not think Trump handled it well but I do not think it is a threat to our country because he is known for his rhetoric. I feel 90+% of America look at it similar to the Russian collusion stuff, political stuff until there is proof. -

Since you are willing to try to thread this needle- you find the delay of a vote and vandalism of the capitol building less objectionable then the murders and large scale destruction of last year. Your clutching of pearls in regards to Jan 6th is funny because no one with an ounce of intelligence believes those people were a threat to our country or democracy because if they were we would have had more than 50 capitol police there that day. -
Team USA basketball loses 2nd game in a row

I hope you are right but if this team screws around too much in the run up to the games I don't trust it to get itself together -
The American Media Should Not Be Trusted
Orlando Buffalo replied to SCBills's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Well what you don't understand is that the additional year of data is not as clear as it seemed last year. Drawing conclusions from 3 weeks of material is science, but making blanket comments from 12 months of materials is poor reporting. -

Interesting that you find the murders from last summer to now acceptable but draw the line at what happened on January 6th. Also my question was more along the lines of why you feel it entertaining to be 90% obnoxious? -

So your response is that you aren't the worst on here, I have to agree. I thought you would hold yourself to a higher standard than just not the worst but your choice. -

Why do you come here just to be obnoxious? I know all of sometimes go there but you seem to never even try to offer something of substance, just name calling and insults. -

The AllStar game had its second lowest rating ever barely beating it's 2019 numbers. I will admit that it is difficult to pin the blame on the politics since no one seems to care about baseball at all that I speak with. I think that maybe MLB was hoping to gain a few liberal viewers but MLB seems to just be treading water until soccer over takes it. -
America's future. O say, what do you see?
Orlando Buffalo replied to Old German Woman's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
The 1980s was the time of junk bonds and the S and L scandal. The 1990s brought the tech bubble and the start of the housing bubble, we always have had to watch for greed. The in your face style is correct but FDR was very in the face of his opponents but the media was on his side so he was brave not antagonistic. As for the Nazi comparison, our govt does not allow someone who is appalling to 75% of the population win a presidency, which is what happened in Germany. Most conservatives think that way. Democrats are the jealous of others wealth types. -
BIDEN: "I've said it before. We're facing the most significant test of our democracy since the Civil War. That's not hyperbole." He apparently actually thinks that showing your ID is as bad as being beaten for voting.

Could CRT bring about a race war?
Orlando Buffalo replied to JaCrispy's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Your defense for CRT is that you are generally unaware of it. If you say minorities are being oppressed you have to say someone is the oppressor, and the official NEA push for CRT states ,"anti-Blackness, anti-Indigeneity, racism, patriarchy, cisheteropatriarchy, capitalism, ableism, anthropocentrism, and other forms of power and oppression at the intersections of our society." -
Could CRT bring about a race war?
Orlando Buffalo replied to JaCrispy's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
It will not start a race war in this country though it might make liberal cities the worst places to live for a little while. It is easier to succeed in this country for any race the "right" way then it is to go through that. -
America's future. O say, what do you see?
Orlando Buffalo replied to Old German Woman's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
It is surprising to me that a question on the future of our country still bring Trump as the main response, not the current president. I person think we will have a country that starts healing quickly because people who only get there news from the MSM are becoming less and less. I think those that use more sources will be more aware that 90% of Americans are good people and we will not allow the 10% hurt us further. -
The American Media Should Not Be Trusted
Orlando Buffalo replied to SCBills's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
The media does not learn from its mistakes. There is a new movie out showing how much the media lied about Nick Sandman and the review of the movie defends the media multiple times and tries to place blame on school. To defend anything from that situation for CNN, WAPO, NYT and Ilk makes you an unethical person. They promoted violence against a child who had done nothing wrong despite an adult trying to provoke violence. https://www.yahoo.com/news/boys-red-hats-investigates-nick-085503061.html -
This is an interesting story, one person tweets that they recieved this card at CPAC but no one know who handed it out and the group Patriotsoar does not even have a real website, therefore to an intelligent person you would assume it is fake. The plan being listed would not work within our structure of government and is full of juvenile insults further showing it is not a plan but most likely a troll job. Liberals on here prove they are not smart enough to discern fake from real and keep doubling down on it.

Critical Race Theory
Orlando Buffalo replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
The fact that you think CRT is a political thing means you are a political person primarily. CRT only works if start with the premise and then twist every around it, while history should be look at the facts and find the narrative. -

Critical Race Theory
Orlando Buffalo replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
History is a set of facts based on what really happened, a good teacher takes facts and presents those facts in an interesting way which a narrative can be part of it. Teaching a narrative as history means you sacrifice the truth for the desired meaning. History is not always nice and good but it still needs to be fact based -

I am curious why they are mad at US? Do they think we are responsible for what happened? -
Critical Race Theory
Orlando Buffalo replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Why can't you just admit you are happy to ignorant? You have seen the stuff from the NEA but I will give it to again. Why this is so appalling is that the NEA is pushing the 1619 project as history, and the creator of 1619 has admitted it is a narrative. This is from the NEA resolution passed this summer: Provide an already-created, in-depth, study that critiques empire, white supremacy, anti-Blackness, anti-Indigeneity, racism, patriarchy, cisheteropatriarchy, capitalism, ableism, anthropocentrism, and other forms of power and oppression at the intersections of our society, and that we oppose attempts to ban critical race theory and/or The 1619 Project.
