Im middle aged and I have been vaccinated but in regards to my children, who are healthy, the risk from the virus to them is minimal while the long term vaccine impact will possibly not be known for decades. I do not think that any particular side effect is likely but I also know that if they naturally learn to fight to a disease it is good for their long term health

The redefining of words in America- I was called Anti Vax today because I will not allow my 16 year old or 12 year old to get the Vax. They have every single shot that has a long term track record against every illness that has been known to hurt kids, they even have gotten flu shot a couple of times. I have gotten Covid shot and about 8 times in past decade have gotten flu shot, but I don't want my kids to get a new shot to protect them from an illness that is a minimal risk to them and I am anti science? The simple fact that in Florida well more than half of those eligible to get the vaccine got it by early summer yet our numbers went to the highest marks after that should give you pause on the effectiveness of the vaccine to stop Covid. In Florida we have been almost completely free since June 2020, why would Covid have spiked in Sept of 2021 if the vaccine is the way to beat it?

The vaccine is not needed for kids to be safe, there will be no significant statistical improvement in their numbers after the vaccine is available because there numbers are so low it would literally have to drop to 0 to be significant mathematically. An undeniable fact is a 60 year old with the vaccine is much more at risk than your children without the vaccine. The fact that you would force children to get a vaccine for an illness that is statistically insignificant to them is similar to people who forced unwanted surgeries on people in the early 20th century for the betterment of society.

I am hoping you will actually answer this question, what numbers would you have to see before being comfortable without masks in school? Is a number among school age children or in society as whole? Also I don't know where you live but all the proof I need that it is political is that schools have a mask mandate but other indoor places do not, how do you make the people with the lowest risk mitigate risk but those of high risk do not?
