So much for the National Weather Service
Orlando Buffalo replied to Roundybout's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
No I do not underestimate, I simply feel that the number of private companies that do the same thing are sufficient and feel the federal government should only be working on topics of vital national security. If you feel they do only vital things we can stop arguing because you believe politicians in general are looking out primarily for their constituents. -

Suicides did not rise during COVID? Which part is fake? -
Bills look for debt waiver as stadium costs rise
Orlando Buffalo replied to BarleyNY's topic in The Stadium Wall
I am reminded of when Orlando City soccer was building there stadium and the State was doing a 50/50 split of the cost until a law passed that the State couldn't do it anymore because of the fraud with the Miami Marlin Park. Once that law passed the price of the stadium dropped by 40% but the stadium was still basically the same and was built on schedule. -
measles outbreak

The increase of teen suicide due to the COVID lockdown was much higher than the measles outbreak and you fought for that to happen, don't give me this crap that people having freedom and making bad choices is Trump's fault. -
measles outbreak

According to Google the population of West Texas in total is 650k, so 20% is only 130k. If you look at the illegal border crossings over the past 5 years then only 1% of them would have to have stayed that close to the border, so I would not be surprised if the number is over 20% https://comptroller.texas.gov/economy/economic-data/regions/2022/west.php -
Greg Rousseau Extended (4 years / 80M / 54M Guaranteed)
Orlando Buffalo replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
I assure you there was plenty of it because even I was not confident in the value of the contract but I defended it because of the nature of the league. -

Depending on how you define west Texas, absolutely 20% of the people are not native born. There are parts of El paso that are majority Mexican. -

Only the meta data needs to be looked at, it is not as if we need to discuss a change day to day. What topic do you think takes more than a few properly selected smart people to analyze the data? -

Special training to interpret data on site? How about send it all to one clearing house where a few dozen actual smart people interpret it and see if it means anything. -

Two points-this is for the headlines not because it takes any special training to launch a weather balloon. Who ever is still staffed can do it but won't for political points only. Secondly when helium got expensive they went without launches for several months in 2022 and 2023, but none of y'all cared, because it was not political points -
Thoughts about older draft eligible players?
Orlando Buffalo replied to OldTimer1960's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think it definitely depends on what your expectations are- if you need him to start this year older is probably better but if you have time to let him develop you want the younger guy. I also don't mind a older guy for QB because so much of that is mental or a RB or DT because they likely don't last that long anyways. -

Jags release Christian Kirk, seems like a Billsy move
Orlando Buffalo replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
Because we have Josh we are unlikely to spend any major money on WR, most likely it will only be guys under $10 a year from here, so if Josh wants him I would like the signing if under $5 million. -
This is what I thought also, he was more hype than production, especially lately.

The Babylon Bee, America's Newspaper
Orlando Buffalo replied to 3rdnlng's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I think I found something that every American can agree on, regardless of who the president is, there is 0% chance of any of the European pansies coming across the ocean and taking an inch of American land. -
Trump's State of the Union Address 2025
Orlando Buffalo replied to B-Man's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Talked to Two people this morning who both were commenting on Dems reactions, little thoughts on Trump's speech itself. Maybe Dems are trying the "all headlines are good headlines" approach? Otherwise I don't get it. -

Cutting off your nose to spite your face. What classless people. -
We already have the property tax cap, I still pay taxes on my house as the price when I bought it with only a 3% increase allowed per year, been in house 20 years and taxes are about $400 more per year. The increase would have to be to the sales tax, which would likely only reach NY levels at that point. I like the idea but would want further details. .

Hey my thoughts don't all have to make sense, especially in the draft world. But that is a good point. -

You very likely are correct but if he is really good he might be worth it, hopefully not another Elam. -

This conversation is clearly a troll job- I called the whole university shutting down and everyone being told not to travel unnecessarily due to the snow being "snowed in" and you go on a rant about how unless it is leading to an arrest it is not snowed in. Got it, glad I live in a state where the government trusts me to make my own decisions about storms and COVID and all sorts of other things. -

I never used the word ban, you did, and "no unnecessary travel" is telling people to stay off the roads. Are you just trolling me right now? -

When the local government is telling people to stay off the roads due to snow what would you call it, besides snowed in? -

My son is a FL native, and the school was shut down all week, it is not snowed in like Buffalo but we made sure he had food because he could not drive anywhere because of the driving conditions. It is not an exaggeration just because it does not compare to Buffalo -

I think if you sign one of those DE you still draft a DT. If we get Lawrence I will be thrilled. From my limited watching of Michigan and his combine I want Grant and believe he might be there at 18 or 19 and we might be able to trade up for him.
