Recap of the 2nd Day of January 6th Hearings
Orlando Buffalo replied to ChiGoose's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Give me the two or three biggest new things just so I understand what you think makes this worthwhile. -
I have been all over the country and watched Bills games in many different places and never had an issue, once even accidentally ended up at a Browns bar to watch the 9-6 game. Boston though has their 10% who are more nuts than normal fans, it is only city where my wife almost got into a fight after a Sox game because she was wearing a Sabres hat in 2005. Most Boston fans are fine but I don't worry about most people.

I am with you 100%. I was over the KC game by midweek. Now if Josh retired without a SB I will be sad but he is the most exciting player since Michael Vick to play QB and he is a better passer

I am going to visit Boston this summer for the first time since Spygate and I am not going to be wearing my Bills stuff. I am afraid of their fans acting out when I am with my family. The best part of the trip is apparently my wife's family who lives there is gonna "surprise" me with a nice tour of Gillette Stadium, and said to my wife it will be like a haunted house to me. I don't fear them anymore and they are just like the Jets to me, a team to be beaten on the way to the playoffs, there are several teams that scare me but the Pats are not them

You need stats? What are you an idiot or something? ( I am gonna have fun quoting you back at yourself when this info has been available for decades, not minutes) -

There is some minor value to it but we are not learning anything except minor details. The story is known and we are using a large amount of money to go over it again. I do understand why Dems want to relive it but it is not useful. -

So you learned nothing, thank you for admitting that. Attempted political coup? You are funny dude. -

What did you learn today? Nothing written here is new at all. As I stated it is 100% political and all a rehash of know info. -

Yes- you got it- it would also be more intelligent to know the reasons for the lack of preparation for a known protest. But Dems only look at things politically so they usually miss the way to improve things. -

You don't even believe what you write, because when you wrote previously what they should be looking into 80% is not being addressed. The only thing that is being addressed is the political aspect. -
I am actually surprised by how many people still think the lockdowns where a good idea. Literally not one good came from it overall, we likely saved no lives, we damaged our economy greatly, we destroyed children's educations and mental health, the list is extensive. I will not bash it at the begining due to the semi-unprecedented nature but if you can look back and actually argue it was handled well you are a person who does not learn from mistakes.

The U-Haul being a problem is that if you are inside the only person who knows where you are is the driver. Why did the driver stop if he saw the large police presence, keep driving until there are less cops? If they were not there why did he wait so long to release them? Your certainty it is not a setup means you believe the FBI did not use the Steele Dossier, or that the Whitmer situation was a setup because otherwise you would know there is a decent chance.
-
I will admit I am wrong if the facts remain straight for the next couple weeks, but what percent are you certain this was truly 31 bad guys who happened to be caught by the FBI without a Whitmer type setup? The entire concept of all arriving in a U-Haul seems like your entire goal is to be caught. One article read that only person was even from Idaho, so all these dudes are tracing across the country to do this? The whole thing means either these dudes are thankfully really stupid or they were setup.

Two major points: there is still no actual bill written yet so I will wait to see, this would not be the first "agreement" that went sideways this year. Second: it sounds just like the law DeSantis signed into law for Florida several years ago. So how do reconcile MAGA being against it when the guy who you say is the poster child for MAGA, did it YEARS ago?
