  1. The right to self defense is a much more basic right than the right to travel large distances. Your comment shows you are basing your argument on emotion and not logic.
  2. I do understand some people on my side are enamored with Trump which I don't get but I remember almost every Dem rushing to defend a man who committed perjury during his rape trial. Makes defending Trump seem rationale in comparison.
  3. I have only been paying attention to this story for about a day so I will admit I am fuzzy on the details- he made a meme that you could vote by phone, a bunch of liberals believed the meme was real and did not vote because of the meme. Therefore he is guilty of election interference and goes to jail. If there is another important detail that none of the articles are mentioning I would love to hear it and I am assuming that for him to be guilty the jury had to be unanimous
  4. Do you believe stating transgenderism is a form of mental illness is bashing them? Would it be bashing a borderline personality disorder person to state they are mentally ill? Telling a person who is delusional that they are correct is not nice and compassionate, it is cruel. Telling a short kid he can be an NBA center is not kind, help him learn guard skills so he can have a chance to play in the NBA is kind, don't feed the delusion.
  5. When the issue was car deaths @Tiberiuswhy did you not try to ban cars?
  6. https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/top-high-school-students-getting-214033561.html My son is graduating and I look at these kids in this article and wonder two big things: how did they do in the AP classes? And did their high schools offer dual enrollment classes? The reason I am most curious is a 4.2 weighted GPA and 6 AP's is barely top 30% in my high school because of everything offered. Also taking 6 AP's but only scoring 3 or less on each final is very telling on what you will do in college. To those of you with young kids it is a whole new world compared to the late 90's
  7. I know this is not usual but is this even in the realm of normal, making a grand jury come back a month later? Telling people to go back to usual life and then come back later to get more information?
  8. I asked my media center specialist today why it was that one parent could get an historically accurate movie pulled from the whole school when 90+% approved of their children watching. (I will add here I fully support the few parents who wanted their children pulled from class that day) The big reason is that someone in the school district wants to make a big deal of it. There is no reason that the review had to be more than a quick meeting, with all people stating the movie is historically accurate and does not blame children for what their grandparents might have done. The larger shut down of the film is someone using it for a showboating reason.
  9. Several questions of how to stop this: 1)how do we disarm bad guys without removing guns form good guys? I can state with certainty that there is an average of at least one gun per household in my neighborhood but never an oz of issue, but it helps keeps criminals out. 2) how do we delineate those who truly should not have guns? This could easily become a political witchhunt for either side. 3) who job is it to enforce these rules? The Marjory Stoneman shooting was entirely predictable, he said he was gonna do prior to doing it. The kid in Uvalde ordered a gun to his grandfather's house who could not legally buy one. We don't enforce the laws we have now, what will change that will get guns away from bad guys?
  10. They are not libraries, they are media centers because they handle all versions of media available, including books. And it is not a ban, since all of these books are available in the Library system, the difference is when my daughter orders a book for delivery I get to see it before it arrives. Using the word ban is either dishonest or pathetically ill informed at this point. I am also not allowed to discuss politics at school, am I banned from being political?
  11. So what race are you?
  12. What assumption? You have told us you are white
  13. Billsy CNN thinks your a racist
  14. Actually I agree that public schools should not be promoting the bible. Many kids are not ready for the stories of the bible and how brutal life used to be. Parents should be the ones guiding kids, and in high school it should be allowed to be present in school media centers, not younger.
  15. @BillStime what is your definition of you winning?
  16. I am one of those that got unreasonably high based on end of last year but he is an average #2. I thought he was gonna be a low end #1 but he is more limited than I realized. The Bills appreciate him properly.
  17. I love my life, so yes.
  18. I have students who love the dolphins and they told me that Sherfield is most effective against zone defenses, that he has more issues against Man coverage. If true could he be the new Cole Beasley? The guy who sits in the hole in the zone and gets 7 yards? I want to be excited but don't see him being better than lil Dirty at this moment.
  19. Them would be democrat losers like Biden and you. Glad to cover that for you
  20. So your argument is that I should be allowed to give a child in my class straight porn and the worst is I get fired? I should be allowed to show a 3rd grader how to perform oral sex and jail is not appropriate? Clearly you and I disagree on this, which is fine, but your dishonesty about what would be required in order to be arrested and charge is pathetic. BTW why do you support jail for someone who simply gives a 20 year old a beer in your state?
  21. Who has been arrested for any book so far? You set a standard that does not exist and then feign outrage. In fact you seem to agree with the actual roll out of the law, just now with the media coverage
  22. I want a tackle to be the BPA but I don't know crap about college OL talent. I picked Simpson because I have seen him play well, I did not watch enough of Campbell to be confident.
  23. Funny how your being unaware that it is a jailable offense is your state, don't worry I did the research. A person commits contributing to the delinquency of a minor when he or she knowingly: (1) causes, aids, or encourages a minor to be or to become a delinquent minor; or (2) does acts which directly tend to render any minor so delinquent. (b) Contributing to the criminal delinquency of a minor. This would be the state setting standards that you find objectionable.
  24. What state do you live in? Your state does not have decency laws of any kind?
