DeSantis For President in 2024?

NY logic " if I can't discuss where my penis goes with a 1st grader I am being banned". You are new so I will ask you directly, which specific part of the Parental Rights law do you disagree with? -

this guy lives in Central Florida and posts crap like this all the time, I can not imagine the work he must put into staying in a bubble for this to be true. DeSantis won the vote by a huge margin and to be able to stay in that bubble would be like being in WNY and stating that nobody supports the Bills Stadium. -

Weird how you defend the newspaper for lying, makes it seem you are ok with lies as long as your side benefits. -

I will wait for a ton more information to come out since this women is most famous for lying about data and then trying to change it in the tracking system to cover her lies. Only a total moron believes her at face value. -
You must lie about the bill on order to get anyone who is not insane upset. A doctor will have to do a physical inspection, which every year for me when I played sports and my son who plays them includes a quick inspection to make sure everything is as it should be. This bill does not give anyone the right to check a child's private parts who would not be required to previously. I did just realize that you clearly never played any sports since you clearly had no idea doctors do that

It is the difference between weighted and unweighted GPA. Unweighted is simply whether you got and A or B, what you mean. Half A and half B is a 3.5 unweighted. The 5.1 is weighted which means that he took a lot of hard classes. You can take honors classes which are on a 5.0 scale and you can take college classes which are at a 6.0. a 5.1 means he took more than the minimal amount of classes to get that high, and took hard classes, and got almost straight As. Biggest reason for weighted for unweighted is that you need to differentiate a 4.0 is basket weaving vs Differential equations. Virtually no school cares much about unweighted GPA anymore because weighted is more indicative of students ability along with AP scores.

I am curious of something I noticed yesterday when in two separate English teachers rooms. These are two people I don't know well but I noticed they each had more than 25% of their bookcases labeled- banned books- so I looked at the covers and none of them are actually banned in Florida high schools. Several of them were dystopian books and a few were lightly sexual, are the teachers trying to get kids interested in reading by pretending or are they trying to be political? It is frustrating to see someone lie to kids but it is difficult to get kids to read these days. -
What is better, no guns, or more guns?

I have seen several posts on here about the cost of an armed Deputy/ Officer per school so I figured I would use the Rochester city schools as my example district. They have a budget of almost a billion dollars for 47 schools for 25000 kids. That works out to about 20 million a school per year, each with 500 kids per school. Even if you need two fulltime officers per school during hours kids are present that works out to 100k per year for officers making 50k a year. That amounts to less than 1% of the budget. Literally we could fund more security for 10 years based simply on money we have given Ukraine. Obviously the cost is not prohibitive, just the mindset that guns are the issue not crazy people. -

You can't do simple math? I am not going to do extra research because you are incompetent -

We also will arrest a kid now who threatens to shoot the school, brings weapons to school and brings guns to school. That sadly was not the policy for Cruz who shot up MSD since he did all three openly. -

I see this and all I can think is that the Feds have to be at least half those dudes. How is it possible these dudes exist but are able to keep their identities secret? You seem to be watching a ton of Fox news trying to find something to complain about, it is an unhealthy obsession -

It must be nice to be 5 years behind the times and pretend you have an original thought. Every school in Florida has an armed officer on campus during the school day. We have one entry point once class starts and only three during entry and exit where an armed officer is at all three. Does it cost some money? Of course, but a 100K a year from a school with a 35 million budget seems reasonable. Literally the math works out to be about $30 per kid per year, of the kids $20k+ expenditures. -

Billsy, you can't prove a negative, just like I can't prove you are not paid to be a hack. -

I was not even gonna discuss that with him, because he would be too happy to "ban" all guns until only criminals have them. He is probably worried about assault revolvers. -

You have no idea how much money school districts spend, Rochester spends $40K per student. There is plenty of fat in almost every school district to cut without an damage to student situation. Your concern is misguided. -
