  1. A low information fan would think that the good teams win the close games. A high information fan would realize that even the best teams have difficulty having a better than .500 record for close games for very long. In fact, a team's good record in close games in one season is a good indication that they will fall off the following season. Similarly, a team that has a poor record in close games one season will often turn it around the next.
  2. I think Rogers will be on the outside generally today.
  3. Kind of like signing Tavaris Jackson and then cutting him before minicamp?
  4. Definitely. I am so sick of the Bills going on a cutting spree and creating new holes every year.
  5. With all that we know about concussions now, maybe this isn't the time to be making this statement.
  6. Letting Levitre go in hopes of signing Wood reminds me of the decision to let Greer go in order to sign McGee.
  7. I find it kind of funny how analysts covering the Bills now remember Gailey's offense. I hear talk as if Gailey was a traditionalist running some sort of vanilla offense unlike the new young star, Hackett. Gailey was by no means perfect as a play-caller, but he knew how to scheme to his team's strengths. The way he used the spread and the screen game to create favorable match-ups and play to Fitzpatrick's quick decision-making and accuracy put Fitzpatrick on pace for an MVP-like season for a stretch. People are selling him way too short.
  8. Got to wonder about these wet rubber mats. I am thinking torn ACL to be honest. Sixth round pick for TJax?
  9. This. The worst part of most sports talk shows are the callers to be honest.
  10. People also get a little worked up over damage amounts in complaints, or, in this case, in notice of claims, but that does not have much relation to what a party realistically expects to get.
  11. How can he take personal responsibility at this point? He's dead. If a family member dies some people are so upset about it and they want someone to blame. There's nothing evil here. It is just hard to deal with the death of your son at a young age. They are likely wrong to sue, but I don't get this talk about there being a special place in hell and other over-the-top words that I see in this thread.
  12. Despite how bad Sanchez has been lately, he always seemed to have career days against the Bills.
  13. And yet he was the second best receiver for the Bills in 2010 and 2011.
  14. Worst QB ever? Loser at life? Okay...
  15. How many pro days are left? We won't be able to sign anyone until they are over.
  16. For 8 games. Not much longer than Fitz was.
  17. Go to here: http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2013/02/28/bdc-228-kelsay-announces-plans-to-retire/ Now, look at the stories and the order for the "Daily Links" section. Then mouse over the first two links. Finally, look at the front page of twobillsdrive.com.
  18. Alls I know is that this Lovie Smith character got to the Super Bowl with Rex Grossman as his QB. That is enough to make me optimistic about the hire should it happen.
  19. It's not that unusual. It is how you distinguish someone who is just named "Gregg" from someone who is using a nickname of "Greg" for Gregory. Think John v. Jon and Thom v. Tom.
  20. Arizona has been in a different division since the last realignment.
  21. As someone who just had ACL reconstruction, I can tell you that they are not "nothing these days." They drill into the two largest bones of your body and attach either a part of you that they cut from somewhere else (patella tendon or hamstring) or they got from a dead guy (probably less likely to work but less pain). They cannot just fix the ACL. They have to make a new one. Yes, methods are better now, but it would be very aggressive for him to be back for the start of the regular season, although not impossible. Even athletes are not jogging often until months into the rehab. If he is able to make it next year then he will not be near 100% until well into the season if ever.
  22. I think this might be the earliest I have turned off a Bills game since the 2001 season. Merry Christmas, everyone. Talk to you next year (or when the Bills actually make a meaningful change).
  23. The main problem with their show is the quality of the callers, to be honest.
  24. The interesting thing is that the Rangers would be playing a tie-breaking game against the Orioles to decide who would be the wild card anyway. As a long suffering Orioles fan, I am pretty excited right now. I would have thought the Bills would turn things around before the Orioles would...
