  1. There are two fairly probable occurrences that we should worry about. First is that they put a team in Toronto through expansion and it hurts the Bills financially enough that they move to somewhere else. The second one is that the Bills actually move to Toronto, pushed by Tags to do so.
  2. I agree, scary robot. They have their own league anyway. What gives the NFL the right to destroy it? And Mexico...????? I am sure every free agent will be wanting to join a franchise there...
  3. Speaking of which, do people remember when we were calling for his head after the 2001 season?
  4. Jerry Gray posts here?
  5. What were they thinking expanding to Jacksonville. If they had simply expanded into Baltimore or St. Louis back then, we would probably have a team in LA or not have had the Browns fiasco.
  6. Arizona, Indianapolis and San Diego all have stadium deals, I am pretty certain. Here's an article on the Colts deal: http://www.fortwayne.com/mld/journalgazett...ts/10459322.htm This article mentions Arizona's new stadium: http://www.eastvalleytribune.com/index.php?sty=35933 Don't know what the third team would be but I guess we would be talking about Minnesota, New Orleans. In reality, the NFL should be thinking of moving Jax. Their fan support really sucks.
  7. This LA crap is the NFL at its worst. They aren't just letting an owner move an underperforming team to the city, they are actually openly trying to force a team to move. Shows how little they care about fans in other cities. Seriously, how many failures have to occur before they realize that maybe football doesn't work in LA.
  8. I rather they spend a few minutes covering a future hall a famer retiring than spend it on yet another piece on Terrell Owens' ankle.
  9. Emmitt actually clearly helped his teams win games. I am not sure if Barry Sanders had a very positive impact on his team. He could run for 20 yards one down and then lose 7 the next one. Not always the best production for sustained drives.
  10. How about we just play the games in this country as we usually have. Tell me again why it's so important to have leagues that extend over national borders?
  11. Hmm... "I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen."
  12. I am hopeful that this lockout will get rid of the southern franchises. Biggest mistake was over-expansion.
  13. Enh, I think we are being partly blinded by our understandable hatred of the Cowboys. By comparison, there are lot more people on those SB teams I would call classless before him.
  14. No, there are tons of people who like punting from the 30 yard line.
  15. Bledsoe can lead us to 9-7 and perhaps 10-6 or best-case scenario 11-5. I am dubious he can reach that far but I think we know how much he can carry this team. Losman, who knows? But I rather risk another 6-10 if it means the possibility of a 13-3.
  16. I assume it's a coincidence that your user name has the name Kurt in it?
  17. The Jets have some the highest ticket prices already and there is a waiting list for season tickets. How exactly are they low on revenue?
  18. If someone could find this article, I would be very grateful. There's someone I really need to show it to...
  19. 90% w/ 13 miles average error 172 seconds
  20. Is there any more information on this? Like an article or something?
  21. I am ignorant of this issue, but is it really the convention centers that is the problem or that it is more expensive to have things in general in NYC?
  22. I never really got why most players who fall out of the NFL don't try to go to the CFL or AFL instead of selling cars or whatever which most end up doing.
  23. Let's also not forget about what the new stadium mean for the Jets fans and the Bills fans. More revenue for the Jets will allow them to have richer signing bonuses and strengthen their ability to attract FAs over us. Also for the Jets fans this means significantly higher ticket prices, no real parking, no tailgaiting, crappier season tickets, etc. I am not sure who really benefits here besides the owner and Jets fans living on Manhattan. For Jets fans in most areas, it will be more difficult to go to a game. The state had much more important things to spend its money on and it has things they could get a much better return on investment from. If they are going to build them a stadium, at least find a more cost-effective way to do so.
