    The money from the Senecas could have been used for something else. It's still $600M in state funds regardless of how fungible moneys are earmarked for political purposes.

    They almost built a new stadium for the Jets in Manhattan as part of the Bloomberg NYC Olympics bid IIRC.

    The article seems consistent with what we heard from other sources: public funding around $1 billion. Not surprising people who aren’t Bills fans might be concerned about that number, especially when it’s the highest support ever given by a government for a professional sports stadium.
