  1. Well you said one thing that makes sense. Right now Marrone, Manuel and the trainers have no idea. Right now, Nobody except GOD knows DEFINITELY. They will evaluate him again in two weeks and go from there. But I'm telling you from past experience, when these things happen, it is usually longer rather than sooner when they return. I'd ask GOD for the exact date but he disconnected my direct hot line to his office. I think I may have been a bad boy and he revoked my privileges. Smoke one duby and you get punished. Go figure!
  2. @voice of truth. I'm with you all the way but we both know it isn't going to happen. Tuel looked really, really, good, but they won't start him because he's an undrafted rookie free agent. I would start him in a heart beat but you know THEY won't. We're going to have to suffer with Ryan Fitztrajic ll (Kolb). Oh my not another game with a guy who can't hit a wide open receiver. OUCH! Lord have mercy! KellyDawgIf you don't expect him to play in week one then why did you even bother posting. You agree with me he won't be starting the first game. So wouldn't you say that is being realistic? What's your point, you know he won't be ready. Did you read your post before you posted it? I said he won't be playing in game one!
  3. San Jose, let me see if I can help you out a little bit. You can rule Manual out for the season opener. He just had an operation TODAY! He needs two weeks MINIMUM to just to heal. Even if he heals that fast, how can they get him in shape and also mentally ready to start the opening game? He's a rookie learning a new system it's not like he's a ten year vet and knows the offense inside and out. I would say it's safe to assume the earliest he would be able to start a game would be the 3rd game of the regular season. Let's be realistic.
  4. I don't agree that the WR battle is over. I think it's going heat up now that the preseason is coming to a close. The Bills have more POTENTIAL talent at wide receiver than they have had in years. Remember I did say "potential". In my opinion they have 8 wideouts that can play at this level. The Bills, because of the numbers game, will be forced to cut wideouts that will probably make other teams. I wish they would keep 7 but I don't think they will. Most likely they will only keep 6. Guys I think have the potential to play in the NFL include Stevie, Graham, Woods, Goodwin, DaRick Rogers, Easley, Kaufman, and Hogan. Brad Smith too but I would rather pick 6 from the young guys. Smith is a jack of all trades but only adequate as a wide out. That's why I didn't put him on my list. I figure they will try to sneak Kaufman on the practice squad so that leaves Rogers, Hogan, and Easley fighting it out for the last one or two spots. I hope two spots as I would keep 6 instead of 5. But I'm not Marrone.
  5. I don't know if DaRick Rogers is not doing well in practice or if he is still a behavorial problem. There is something going on the Bills brass is not telling us about. If this guy is a first round talent why hasn't he moved up on the depth chart? Why is he not getting much playing time in the preseason games? Either he is not as good as advertised or he's back to smoking dope. Something fishy is going on there. We will find out soon at the cut down date. If they cut him someone will take a chance on him hoping they can take the ghetto out of him. All the other teams know about him you can't hide him on the practice squad. I would think you would have a much better chance of another team not claiming Hogan off the practice squad. Teams could have had Hogan in the off season if they wanted him, so I don't think all of sudden there is going to be a demand for his services. Kaufman may be another guy you may be able to hide on the practice squad.
  6. I wouldn't doubt it. Something is going on behind the scenes because the Bills are giving him very LITTLE playing time in the preseason games. And they also have him running with the threes. You would think a guy with his talent would have moved up on the depth chart. The Bills seemed turned off by him so I think he's one of those hood rats that likes gang banging more than playing in the NFL. Maybe he's in the same gang as Aaron Hernandez.
  7. Wow! I never saw that coming. ROFL
  8. Let's put Tuel in there. He can't be worse than Kolb. I thought I would never say this but I would rather have Fitztrajic back over starting the corn ball.
  9. Not to worry Byrd will be back for the regular season. Byrd and Williams should do fine. We don't have to worry about replacing Searcy until next season. They can either pick one up this off season in free agency or draft one. I think Byrd will come in for the regular season, I doubt he would sit out the year and lose 6 or 7 million. I was hoping they would have picked up LeRon Landry this past off season but they didn't. This organization hates to spend money. He would have been that hard hitting force a good team needs. He puts fear in players going over the middle. Old Buddy was napping when LeRon became available. I'm surprised Petine didn't lobby hard to sign Landry.
  10. I'm all in for Tuel in week 1. Kolb is the w
  11. Sneak him where, sneak him how, sneak him on the practice squad????????????????? Are you serious?? You think the Bills are the only team that saw this kid play in college? Let me put it this was. Do you think you could sneak a herd of charging Buffalo on a rampage through a china shop without breaking anything?? If you say yes, then yes there is a chance they could sneak him on the practice squad. I would say the odds of the two are pretty close to being the same.
  12. Who cares about Elliott he had no chance of making the roster anyway. Look at the amount of receivers ahead of him. Gosh you have a better chance of winning power ball lotto than Elliott making the roster. Power ball odds are only 175,000,000 to one.
  13. WOW! Season OVER before it even started! Brady gets his knee hurt, he's fine and doesn't miss a game. Manual gets hit once and he's done. Buffalo is jinxed. I bet when they built the stadium on the old Indian burial grounds the Seneca Indian Spirits put a curse on the Bills. How else can you explain 4 super bowl LOSSES IN A ROW? Odds are you would have to win one of them even by accident. Then they finish last for the whole new millennium. They haven't been to the playoffs this whole century. Tell me they didn't have a curse put on them. Dang Injuns did it again.
  14. I thought it was a well written article with a lot of truth to it. You can't tell, even one iota how the Bills defense is going to be at this time. Teams don't practice for the blitz this early in the preseason. It will be a WHOLE different story when the bullets start flying. Have you heard the term live by the blitz, die by the blitz? In the regular season teams watch film and game plan for different protections to pick up blitzes. Remember if the blitz doesn't get there the defense is vulnerable for a big play against them. Someone on the offense is left WIDE OPEN. I think that's what the writer was pointing out. Don't get excited over this defense just yet. It's only preseason and you have to wait until they're up against the big boys before you will see what you have.
  15. Well you got some right and some wrong. So that puts us right back to where we started from. Most of them are obvious because they are locks. You only missed on some of the the bubble guys just like everyone else. Except for the coaches, they're right all the time.
  16. Well a couple of their lineman need a shave and one needs a hair cut desperately. I noticed half of them could use a manicure but other than that their line is looking fine. Hope that helps. You don't have to thank me.
  17. Cornerback and offensive guard will be their main needs if they drafted this week. But by next year we don't know if someone get a career ending injury or who becomes free agents that they can't re sign. They only have one NFL caliber corner on the team so that would be their main concern. Then losing Levitre opened up another glaring hole on the offensive line.
  18. I think Marrone will name EJ the starter right after the next preseason game against Washington. He wants to wait for three games to make sure the team knows it was a fair battle and they both had an equal opportunity to win the job.
  19. I would like to see EJ as the starter and Tuel as his back up. Make Kolb 3rd string so he can be the inactive QB on game day.
  20. I hope Rogers makes the team. He has all the physical tools to be a great wide receiver.
