Playoff Solutions Assuming they don’t replay the Bengals game.
DC Greg replied to Locomark's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m amazed at the level of speculation this has generated. I don’t think any of this is going to happen. The game will be a no contest and win percentage will determine seeding. All this talk of neutral sites and what not seems pulled out of thin air. I don’t see any of that actually happening. The chiefs seem poised to back into the 1 seed unless the raiders can pull of an all time upset. -
What Bengals & Chiefs fans are saying about the situation:

They are truly the worst. -
Exactly. They are trying to secure the best draft position possible with a loss. Peterman is in there to lose.

FilthyBeast got a new account! -
Our flight from BWI to Cincy was almost all Bills fans. There were a ton of people at the restaurant we went to last night, as well. It seems like there will be a solid contingent at the game!

Updated Beasley signing to practice squad
DC Greg replied to Niagara Dude's topic in The Stadium Wall
Who is expecting that? Not me. I'm just hoping for him to find the sticks and just catch the ball to move the chains a few times. If his hands are good for a key third down conversion maybe once or twice a game, that's something we don't have reliably out of the slot right now and really could use. Seems like a valuable enough role for him to have a spot on the active roster to me and to get a few reps. If he is so terrible that he can't get open at all anymore, then they move him back down. I just don't see the downside to trying this out. -

Well said. Josh wanted this, and if he and Beane think it will help, trust their judgement. I am thrilled that Beane listens to the star QB and players in general on things like this. He doesn't let them dictate everything, but I think that his listening and making moves when possible (think giving Poyer that additional incentive in his contract before the season) is further building this great culture the Bills have and the trust between players/management. Beasley is a very low risk potentially "high" (relatively) reward move. I know many people disagreed with his vaccine stance and feel butthurt by the way he left, but everyone deserves second chances. He was a great team player for years and well liked and respected across the board. I'm sure he will keep his head down and is only here for one reason: to win. Again, Josh's word is good enough for me. -

Beasley’s play fell off his last couple seasons in Buffalo due to age/injuries. But, if he’s got anything left in the tank, I’d love to see it. He was the most reliable outlet for Josh for a long time. As others have noted, if he’s rested and can provide anything close to what he used to do in terms of finding the soft spot in the zone on third down, he could be worth a shot. If Josh thinks it could help, make it happen. -
In the Era of Josh Allen, how about a little Jim Kelly love
DC Greg replied to wjag's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m not defending the behavior. Cheating is bad. But the way you are judging him and just trying to make sure everyone knows that you are morally superior is gross. Just my opinion. -

Lol. By all means take another opportunity to expand the gossip, Any other sordid details you’d care to get out there that you think you may have heard? Any other players or just anyone in general you want to judge publicly while you have the floor? -

Is it really necessary to drag Jim Kelly’s name through the mud on an internet message board about gossip you heard from someone who heard from someone thirty years ago? -
I’ll go with history until our division opponents prove differently. The Patriots were in this position at the exact time last year. The better team eventually settled in and smacked them around late in the year to take the division again. I’m expecting the same when the Bills meet the fins at home in a few weeks.

Criticism of McD and coaching has reached insanity level…
DC Greg replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall
I keep seeing this take on here. No it wasn't. The Bills had no timeouts left. There was no way to stop the clock if there was a botched snap. Calling the last timeout with 7 seconds left was not some brilliant 4D chess move by McD. It was a mistake, plain and simple. You don't leave time so the opponent has another chance there. I can't believe people actually think that may have been a move they made on purpose. Does that mean I think McD is an awful coach? No. But he definitely made a mistake there. Just call it what it is and move on. -
Much greater chance at a non presnap penalty? On a field goal? They never call holding on FG attempts. Name the last time you saw that happen. False start, Offside, running into kicker, or running into snapper is all the yellow that ever happens. You don't leave time for another play in that situation. It was a mistake by mcd or whoever called it. There's no chance they made a strategic decision to leave time and if they did, that's much worse than just having a brain fart.
-
Calling the timeout with 7 seconds remaining was absurd. There is no excuse for that. It didn't end up costing them, but that is basic clock management for a head coach. You don't leave time for another play there, ever. Do we know that McD called it? Or is it possible there was another hyped up player who took it upon themselves to call TO like Diggs did after his catch on that drive. If so... that's a problem too. Players should know the coach is responsible for the clock and trust that he'll make the right decision.

Can you share?
-
Maybe. It's awful close to gametime to try and buy tickets and then flip them for two teams playing in a neutral site location. They might get caught bagholding on that scalp job.

In that interest, if any of you fine season ticket holders don't need your special presale link, let me know! We'll put blue in seats!

Agree with this. NFL doesn't need to turn into the NBA any more than it already has. I don't understand how anyone can even stick with a team in the NBA at this point. The jersey the players are wearing means nothing.
