  1. Not really. Mostly around night clubs, EDM, DJs, etc. The clubs have overtaken gambling as the #1 revenue generator in Las Vegas.
  2. Did they disclose what the injury was? Torn labrum? Interesting how he had it as a freshman and now needs surgery. I tore my labrum lifting weights my sophmore year playing college call. Just rehabbed and strengthened muscles around it and played out junior and senior year without major issues. Still feel a little pain from time to time, but didn't need to get the surgery.
  3. http://www.sportingnews.com/nfl-news/4702444-donald-trump-buffalo-rex-ryan-bills-coach Apparently Trump is under the impression Rex is good endorsement for Buffalonians?
  4. Agreed. His production in our system has been stellar. On a more pass heavy team, his numbers would be even bigger. We're just scratching the surface with him. Got to continue to get him more touches. A BUBBLE OR TUNNEL SCREEN ONCE IN A WHILE PLEASE??
  5. Should have locked him up after last season. Would have gotten a much more reasonable price. He is going to improve and perform well this season. If he is anywhere close to what he did last season (doesn't even have to be as good), some team will give him a big contract, because that's how QB starved the league is.
  6. Ha! Get out of here with those facts. They don't fit my preconceived world view and economic theory.
  7. The city of Philadelphia smells like garbage. Literally, Philly stinks... horribly. There is a layer of disgusting grease covering mostly everything as well, including the people. Buffalo does not have those problems, thankfully. So at least there's that.
  8. Have you read collision low crossers? There's no way Weeks will be in charge of anything except holding Rex's headset and opening beers for the rest of the coaching staff during meetings. And if he is named the coach... just another horrible personnel decision by Rex.
  9. I feel pretty confident that if Hogan stays healthy, Brady is going to make him look pretty darn good. I don't think he is going to be an All-Pro or anything, but I think he will put up much bigger numbers than either of the past two seasons and a lot of people in here are going to be surprised. It was the right move for the Bills to let him go at that price, however. He is a pretty good player, but he was underutilized. Can't justify that CAP space for a guy we don't throw to often in a team that is very run heavy.
  10. Um no offense but I'm pretty sure Shady, and most NFL players, would dismantle 98% of dudes in a "real fight" in "your father's home town", whatever that means. I think I'd put my money on the world class professional athlete over dad any day lol.
  11. Definitely holding on judgement against Shady until we know more. Seems like this was a fight, not an assault on unsuspecting victims. Sounds like the other dudes lost the fight. Shouldn't they be charged too if there are charges being levied for fisticuffs?
  12. He's a steeler so he won't. Absolute double standard in that game.
  13. Other than the new team in LA angle, which I think is very compelling, I don't see how they don't pick the Bills. Storylines abound for this team, and Rex gave them the best season they've had. I can't imagine we aren't on the short, short list to be on it.
  14. I'll get excited for that week 1 tailgate and hopefully beautiful weather. Also, I have no reason to think this 8-8 squad can't get to 10-6 and make the playoffs. There was certainly discouragement this year, but maybe our hopes were a little high for an entirely new system, new coaches, new quarterback... basically all the main pieces of the team's leadership structure were different. Historically speaking when a new coach comes in, I don't know that 8-8 is such a terrible result. It just stings more because we're all like come ON and just get back to the playoffs already. I'll try to be patient and give Rex at least through next year. But if we don't take a step forward in year 2, obviously that's a huge flag.
  15. So what happens to Raiders if Chargers and Rams move to LA? Are they allowed to keep playing in their "inadequate" stadium until such time as another city can make a play for them?
  16. Well, just personally, I love Jerry Hughes and I think he plays with a ton of heart and effort and is a good teammate with net positive influence on the attitude of our defense. He takes some penalties, but I'm surprised to see him compared to a dirtbag like Burfict. I don't see him in that category of deliberately trying to injure people.
  17. I would be interested to see him as a backup if he could be had on the cheap. There is no way RGIII is worse than EJ Manuel IMO. I don't see any upside to having EJ as a backup over just about anyone. Everyone is a football expert in here and so certain of the fate of all NFL players. Lot of the same folks were certain Cousins was garbage, only to watch him shred the Bills and generally tear it up down the stretch last year. Not saying he's elite, but he played elite for a good stretch of his first full season as a starter and got his team to the playoffs. Interested to see if he continues to develop next year. That said, RGIII will go somewhere he has a chance to compete as the starter. He's not coming here.
  18. Roman wants guys who can block. This team is still going to be run heavy, with the ever present threat of Sammy. Hope this guy makes the team. I'm sure Tyrod and he have a rapport that can be nothing but good for the offense and locker room.
  19. Everyone assumes Thurman is just a figurehead and Rex calls the D, but has this ever actually been confirmed? I know it's Rex's scheme, but Thurman must at least be running the day to day management and possible that he calls the shots on game day. I think people underestimate the DC role, even with a coach who has a heavy emphasis on that side of the call. It would not surprise me at all to learn that Rex has delegated this to Thurman. In that case, getting Pettine back could make a huge difference.
  20. I like it. The talent is there. Coach it to the playoffs or GTFO, Rex.
  21. I like your take OP. I'm with you on all these points.
  22. Based on his attributes and less on his overall performance. He played in a garbage offense at penn state with a garbage coordinator, line, and receivers. He made some boneheaded plays, but his ceiling is high. Certainly not a plug and play guy, but I like him learning behind Tyrod and seeing if he can develop into an nfl qb. There are no sure things in this draft, and he looks like a project with potential imo.
