https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/4958098-the-memo-trump-campaign-struggles-to-contain-puerto-rico-october-surprise/ Harris has been turning the screws on Trump over the remark. The vice president on Monday cited Trump’s New York event as having “highlighted a point that I’ve been making throughout this campaign. … He is focused and actually fixated on his grievances, on himself and on dividing our country.” Her campaign also launched a digital ad aimed at Latino voters that began with Hinchcliffe’s words and asserted that “Puerto Ricans deserve better.” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), who is of Puerto Rican descent, described the Madison Square Garden rally as a “hate rally” during an interview on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on Monday morning. On social media, Ocasio-Cortez hit back at Hinchcliffe’s defense that “these people have no sense of humor” and that his joke had been “taken out of context to make it seem racist.” The New York congresswoman accused the comic of “feeding red-meat racism alongside a throng of other bigots to a frothing crowd.” The reaction from the Trump campaign — and from the GOP more broadly — suggests they are well aware of the potential damage from the furor. Trump campaign senior adviser Danielle Alvarez told media outlets that the comic’s comments did not “reflect the views” of the former president or his campaign. Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.), whose state is home to more than 1 million people of Puerto Rican descent, responded almost instantly to the controversy on Sunday evening, with a post on the social platform X saying that the joke was “not funny and it’s not true.” Poor @Irv Watching Trump go down in flames

https://www.themirror.com/news/us-news/i-am-very-mad-puerto-774179 Puerto Ricans are sounding off after "comedian" Tony Hinchcliffe stood on a stage at Madison Square Garden at a Donald Trump rally and proceeded to refer to their homes as an 'island of garbage' - and their anger may lose him some of those Hispanic votes he's counting on. “There is literally a floating pile of garbage in the middle of the ocean right now. I think it’s called Puerto Rico," Hinchcliffe announced to the stadium, to laughs from the audience. Those laughs aren't sitting well with the Puerto Ricans all around the U.S. who are born citizens. "If our people are good to serve in the military, die for this county, then why are we still considered not good enough to be treated with respect?" asks Jackeline Sanchez, a chemical engineer who lives full time in Puerto Rico.

I was jogging the other day and my Trump neighbor gave me a friendly wave and I smiled back and said "hey!" I'll be fine. I blend in. They don't know, and that's cool. I'll study the landscape and do what needs done when time comes The Nazis use to have this kind of propaganda, also. They made fun of the people that criticized their death camps, "Ah, poor Jews, they have to work now in the work camps."

And now the second time around, if he wins, he will have a more compliant GOP in congress, a Supreme Court that has given him a green light to rule above the law and the Project 2025 brown shirts to put an authoritarian program into place. I can see them swearing those Jan 6 scum into a police role like Goring did in Germany in 1933. Trump can attract tens of thousands of losers to be his personal police force, like they have in Iran and other dictatorships. He can tell them, like he told border agents in the past, he will simply pardon them for anything.
